I went to this gym . Let's say dirty 70% of the time. People are rude and inconsiderate. No guest NO Gym. Be nice to your guest.
Perfectly fine place to work out. They have lots of space, and a ton of different equipment for any kind of workout. Members can even bring a guest every time. Great place to go with your friends to get in shape.
L.A. Fitness is my favorite gym to go to for a work out. I enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is friendly and helpful. I have to get my cardio in so the treadmill is always a part of my program. It's never a far drive from me and the wait to get to machines is good, well, sometimes at the beginning of the year when everyone makes their New Year Resolution.
I look forward to working out for many years to come and the value for the investment is great. My membership renewal is less than $120.00 a year because I've had it so long. A few workouts a month more than pays for this. For me fitness is for life and I'll me going here as long as I am living.
This club has the best variety of working machines. Reasonably clean, maintained. Not crowded, but fairly attended by diverse group. As an out-of-towner, I can tell it's a popular location by locals.

Brad is a really good guy. I told him about my really asthma and he hooked me up with Paula, a personal trainer. She developed a great workout routine that not only is helping me with losing weight, but also is helping me with my asthma. Most of the staff I've talked to are very nice, but Brad and Paula are amazing trainers. After 3 months of working with Paula, I've lost almost 25 and out on some muscle. Thanks guys. I've been reading the comments on how the gym isn't clean. It's a F-ing gym!!! Everytime I go there, it's busy. It's not the staff's fault that some people don't clean up after themselves. It's a big gym and 1 person can't pick up every paper towel on the floor.

All the machines you could need and all the weight you can throw it. Plus basketball, racquetball, swimming pool, zumba, punching bags etc. They have it all. Go get it in you'll feel great about yourself.
A number of the machines are always"out of order". At least one or two of the bathroom stalls are out of paper. The locker room needed cleaning. Granted not all of the La Fitnesses are like this but this one at Mond Rd and 13 is the worst one I've been to. If it wasn't for the fact that I work across the street I would not go there.

This gym is great. The people are very friendly, and there is enough equipment to satisfy the size of their clientele. Would recommend.

I was a member in 2013, left the state and came back, rejoined in Feb of 2018. I love the fitness classes! The Gym needs to be cleaner.
I got numerous phone calls after joining this year about My "free fitness assessment". I finally made an appointment so they would quit calling me. This is so they can talk you into personal training. I worked with a trainer for 5 years in the past. So of course I asked if they were certified. Brad Baumgartner assured me they were. I found out later they got to "in house LA Fitness" training, which probably costs a small fortune as well. I signed up for 6 months, I don't know how I managed to not notice that the "training" was for 30 minutes, at 50 dollars FOR 30 MINUTES!!! The program cost 200/month for once a week at 30 minutes I tried to quit since it wasn't really training anyway and of course with the contract, they keep taking your money. It is a money grab plain and simple. I have to go in person to quit or they keep charging me.

Cheap and best... I pay 25$/month for gym equipment, racquet ball, pool & sauna. Totally worth it.
I was a little hesitant about coming to this location due to the poor reviews however I was pleasantly surprised. I have been to many gyms and stopped going to LA fitness in the past due to unclean facilities and lack of care to address this concern. That said, no gym is going to be spotless all the time and LA is no different. I have been going to this location for about 2 weeks now and every morning I see someone cleaning the woman's locker room. As someone who uses the locker room and showers daily, I appreciate this! The front desk staff is nice enough and the gym is spacious.
Would give zero stars if I could. This place is a scam full of empty promises.
Editing my review to add: the person I talked to at corporate is absolutely amazing and I am so greatful to her for helping to resolve my issues. Definitely wont recommend going to the warren location for anyone, but I will say I am please with how corporate resolved my problem quickly. If I could review their corporate office, they would receive a great review from me.

I recently tried to purchase a gift card on the LA Fitness website. After inputting all of my information I clicked submit and it generated a response telling me it could not process my request at this time. I thought no big deal, when I leave work today I will just stop on my way home and grab one because it is so close to my home. Looked at my bank account and they took the $200. Called up to the specific location and I was told I had to call corporate. Called corporate, they aren't open until Monday. Fine. Waited until Monday, was then told by Jason that it was an internal affairs issue and I HAD TO EMAIL THEM. Now at this point I am beyond irate. This is a birthday present for my boyfriend and his birthday is 10 days away. I email "internal affairs" and waited 2 hours for no response. Finally I called and spoke with the GM of this certain location. He was extremely nice, tried everything he could think of to help me but with no resolution. In fact I was told this has never happened before and apparently my money is lost in space!!!! RIGHT!!!!! Now after all this nonsense and not resolving my issue, I call back up to the store and tell them I am still willing to get memberships there but I'd just rather pay a yearly fee then have them have any of my personal bank account information due to what I just experienced. I was told I have to have a credit card on file and there is no way around it. 2 days later I have still have yet to receive a response from "internal affairs" and the lack of concern about not only my money and time, but the fact that my boyfriends birthday present is lost in space, they only seemed to care about selling me into a package without any resolution to what happened to my money. Maybe a gift card of $200 since I proved to you the money posted out of my bank account and went to LA Fitness. Or I don't know a response from someone with an answer as to what is going on. Nope I will never sign up at an LA Fitness. If they will do this to someone who is trying to do everything to get into their gym, I can only imagine what it would be like stuck in a yearly contract with them..... And they can't even respond, I will take my business somewhere else.

In the past two years hot tub at this facility has been out of order for anywhere between 4 - 14 days. When it is in order, it is cold on Wednesdays (cleaning day) If you just looking for a place to work out, this club is fine. We joined LA Fitness and were willing to pay more, because they advertise hot tub. We will be looking into other options.
Wouldn't recommend this location. Honestly, life time is a better choice because people there know what respect is all about. You don't walk in to a basketball gym with a full court game going on when you got 20 people waiting for next. Their basketball gym is 2x the size, heck their whole gym is 2x the size of LA. Staff are much more kind and welcoming. LA fitness is a bang for your buck, but why cheat yourself from quality?
Love love love the group classes. Especially Zumba with Olivia at the Warren campus. They could clean up a little more. Locker room is dirty quit often.
My experience at L.A. fitness was remarkable. Brett was very professional answered all my questions and was very imfrormed. He made a great first impression and was down to earth because of that I will be a member for a long time and look forward to working out there. Thanks Brett your work ethic and knowledge did not go I noticed I appreciate it. Sincerely Thomas Sylvester
This is my original gym, I've been to many la fitness gyms in country, I must honestly say I do prefer this one....all gyms have issues due to the fact you are dealing with the public at a high volume in and out and ALL TYPES people...that being said, the management does a very very good job at keeping the gym and locker rooms in a grade of an "A" in my opinion. I don't see equipment broken down, and staff is very helpful and friendly. So that tells me that management has a big hand in that environment of pleasant greetings and service.
Something is always out of order. Lady's sauna room has been "Scheduled for service" for at least 5 days and it's not the 1st time. Pool & whirlpool are presently in order, but have been out of order for extended period of time in the past on more than one occasion. No problem with exercise equipments though. But for 30$ or more a month I expect sauna, pool & whirlpool working or at least being repaired in a reasonable amount of time, because if I just want to exercise, competitors prices are 10-15$ I am paying for sauna, pool & whirlpool, but can't use it. Poorly maintained place.
This is the dirtiest gym ive ever been to. Been going here on and off for almost 4 years and its only gotten worse. cockroaches in the locker room, the sauna never ever works, the mirrors are dirty. Not to mention that the staff is a bunch of ***holes. I recall hearing some of their reps talking about "who cares let get these sales". Truly a dump of a gym.
This is a decent place, I've been coming here for about 4 years. It's as good as any other gym, maybe slightly larger with good options for spin class , yoga and some type of dance workouts. They have plenty of free weights which is what I enjoy the most.
The past year they've started to teach some sort of CrossFit, crossbred Fitness classes. I do CrossFit as well as the gym and I wouldn't recommend signing up for their programs because there is no attention to proper form and it's only time before somebody gets injured. The only real issue I've had that almost ended my membership was one of the spin class instructors, Frank, wouldn't allow me to finish my last 3 minutes on the bike because his class was about to begin. He took it as far as to become threatening, grabbing my phone, trying to bully me and threaten me. I did report him and LA Fitness did nothing. It's clear LA Fitness doesn't give a s***about a single individual because there's always somebody new around the corner to sign up.
One of the complaint is the cable machines wood taken down for well over six months. That was there only time I ended up going to another gym. They now have new cable machines which are nice. But again they were slow to get things done which just shows they don't give a damn
I was checking out gyms in the area. First, I went to the LA fitness in Troy. Got a guess pass from them. I worked out there once. Went to the Warren gym as it is closer to work for me. The salesman checked me in and had to look at my guess pass from the other gym. Turns out, he maxed out my pass so I couldn't go back to the other gym. He had to know what time I was coming in to work out in the Warren gym, as I unknowingly had my pass maxed. My pass didn't work and the salesman told the front desk, I was good to come in. Gym was packed, sauna didn't work, and couldn't do my work out. I only found out I had my pass maxed once the Troy gym called and said "Wow, we see you have been coming in a lot" when in fact I had only been there once. Such a dirty move on their part. I don't recommend LA fitness to anybody. If you want to working out seriously. Pay the extra money and sign up at a Crossfit gym.
