Nice facility the way it is set up. The cleanliness is horrible as is every L.A fitness. I assume this us because piss poor management. Most the people working either have no leadership abilities or have never had to keep a place clean. Likely this is because their mother has spoon fed them their entire lives. Need to hire a real janitor that knows how to keep a place clean. The bathrooms are always a disaster and like the management the kids that workout here can not lift a toilet seat to take a piss so as the saying goes the apple doesn't land far from the leadership.
A big gym, with good range of equipments, along with swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. They also have different classes throughout the week.
But the gym is not well maintained. People don't clean the equipment after their workout, and they leave weights/dumbbells/handles around the floor everywhere.
The management should do more to ask people to follow a hygienic and responsible workout while at the gym.
This is a really well layout for a guy. Nothing is so close that you feel like your right on top of other people. There is a turf area as well.
Good place to workout. Too crowded most of the time. Machines are well maintained. But they don't pay much attention to the video monitors on the machines. Some of them are defective always!
LA Fitness has a little of everything I like- cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, basketball court, pool, hot tub, showers- and kids club! It's not fancy and it's reasonably priced.
Signed up for a guest pass. Jackson would only activate it at a cost.. it's a free guest pass...Nobody smiled Im just here visiting and they were trying to sell me a 15 day guest pass longer than my visit. My trainer had me request to activate it a second time and they made me feel obligated to leave, not once but twice. I've never felt so unwelcomed by the staff at a gym. The manager at the front said I could be more cool about it and they would activate my pass. I was literally just saying I don't have time and that I paid a trainer for the day and my trainer was the one who got pissed. I pay a personal trainer for his time and they were just racking up my bill with my trainer. I paid him still 50 for the day and had to go to another LA fitness until the remaining hour left in a different city. I recommend lifetime fitness. Or anytime fitness. Not this one.
The upside is that I get the best workout. The downside is the need to clean the pool and the girl's locker room shower area more. Seeing pieces of band aids on the floor of the pool area is disgusting to say the least.
I wish I have the ability to give 0 Stars. I paid more than $100 for a month including some hidden fees.
Here is the thing. I joined this Gym 3 months back.
I have been using it since then, everything was going great until I saw that I have been charged $35 extra in the 3rd month. When I did an inquiry they told me that it is a initiation fees.
I said Nobody told me that there will be a $35 initiation fees after three months.
Cost
$149 Joining fees
$45 Monthly fees (Me + Guest)
$35 Initiation fees after 3 months
So in three months I paid total of $320 for Gym. Now, that outrageous and that's a lot of money.
On the other hand Planet Fitness Charges
$10 Joining fees
$20 monthly fees (Me + Guest)
and there is no hidden fees (Like $35 in case of LA Fitness)
When I told them nobody told me about initiation fees at the time of joining and I want the refund, they refused saying it's in your contract.
This Gym is a scam and it's not even worth the amount as you can see in other reviews as well Basket ball court is always crowded, same with the Swimming pool and Hot tub as well.
I strongly recommend everybody not to join LA Fitness, specially this location. Staff is pushy, unfriendly and non supportive. They just want your money.
Great gym, lots of dumbells my only complaint is that this gym is VERY warm during the summer time! I hope they take this into consideration. You can see everyone in the gym walking around sweating their balls off.

I love the aqua aerobics class. The instructors know what they're doing and I'm losing weight.

The only reason i gave it 1 is because i cant give it a 0 I work from 7-5 every day and i tryed to call to cancel my member ship when the only person that can cancle the memver ship works 9-5 mon - friday and i got the oh sorry we cant do that over the phone and when i asked why i get well thats our policy with no further description. They do this to try to keep you paying as long as possible scroo la fitness would not recomend
The gym itself is decent, but the pushy staff and lack of cleanliness is troubling. LA Fitness makes it VERY difficult to cancel your membership and they force you to come in during business hours, which isn't easy if you're a working adult. (Big surprise!)
When I finally managed to get time off from work to cancel my membership, I explained that because they aren't open 24/7 it isn't working with my schedule. The girl I spoke to was immediately rude and told me I had to stand aside until whenever the appropriate manager was back on the clock. Some meathead sales guy kept trying to intimidate me, when I decided I was sick of waiting after 20 minutes and stood at the front desk. I'm usually an easy-going guy, but when you take time off from work, which is already an inconvenience, it's hard to stomach rude staff and an additional wait.
In addition to the pushy sales staff, the gym lacks any spray or wipes to clean the equipment, so you can imagine what kind of bacteria and viruses grow on said equipment. I would highly recommend staying away from LA Fitness, since there are better quality gyms in this area with less pushy sales staff. The management team must have received their training from Comcast. Don't waste your money!

Absolutely LOVE this Club ... It's more than a gym with a swimming pool, jacouzzi and sauna. Also racquetball courts and a gym to play basketball and volleyball. All classes also included in membership, Zumba, Kickboxing, Yoga and many more! Something for everybody!
The VP for this location has instructed his salespeople not to sell the package that has the rates listed on the website, and the trainer they had doing my initial consult doesn't appear to know the difference between honestly assessing weaknesses and trying to sell his services VS belittling his potential customers and telling them they'll never get anywhere without him.
The Warren Community Center is two miles away and costs half as much without having to deal with the staff of this place.
The only thing that I absolutely hate is they don't have cleaning equipment like spray bottles and paper towels to wipe down the machine when you're done. I have no idea why they don't provide that for members in order to keep their machines sanitary keep good care of the fabric. It's pretty damn disgusting. That's the only reason why 3*'s is necessary.
The community is nice, I've never had a problem with anyone. Staff is friendly.
So I was working out last night and while on the Stairmaster I watched a female "trainer" working with a middle aged man. The "trainer" showed the man how to do barbell rows. Her form was so bad and then he did them with the same form. If you are going to have trainers that you pay they should know what they are doing and how to do it appropriately. Her back and his back was curved as opposed to flat. HOT MESS!
For the monthly price, you get a good amount of options. I think the classes offered are the biggest value. All the instructors have been very nice so I would recommend that.
Came here from Life Time fitness about 9 months ago due to overpricing and overcrowded weight room. So far I've been pleased with this place. LA is priced correctly for what they offer and am very happy with the weight room, it actually offers more than lifetime if you can believe that. This place is relatively clean and the staff is great.
The gym is usually clean however machines break and it takes a long time for them to be fixed (likely an issue getting parts?) The hours could be better. It would be nice if they opened earlier 7 days a week.
Great fitness center and at a responsible monthly fee. Never had an issue with equipment. Weight area is always clean and organized. Locker room is always clean.
Awesome selection of equipment, classes and rooms for any purpose. Price is within reason, but the hours of operation are not great. My main complaint is that there are no spray bottles or sanitary wipes within a reasonable distance of the equipment, so almost nobody wipes anything down. Still, a good buy.
For the price these facilities are good. Fairly responsive in getting equipment repaired. There is one staff member that is friendly towards everyone so that is a real plus. Just wish people were a bit more proactive in cleaning up after themselves or the staff actively promoted a clean and healthy environment.
Nice gym and all but went to shower today 5/8/17 and there was a guy standing in the shower with his phone face timing someone. No phone call is that important where you cannot wait till after a shower. Told the front desk as I was walking out and all they said was that it is weird and that they would have their manager take a look. Did not make it an urgent thing even though I think that should be something that is urgent
Never been there. But I have friend that go there. That love it a lot. Also all said reasonable price for membership. Plus was told best place to work out.
Katy is my favorite instructor!!! I have 2 LA Fitnesses that are closer to my home but I try to come on Wednesdays for her Boot Camp and Zumba class. My only complaint is I wish she had more classes because I have a hard time making it Wednesdays because of my work schedule!
Great gym, people are friendly and there is free weights that you can use there. Not too many people clean their machines they were just using like at planet fitness but overall the gym is fantastic!
Most of the classes are great, but the cleanliness of the facility is in doubt. U can see garbage & dirt from weeks ago. Hardly any sanitizing stations for people conveniently get to to wipe down prior of after using the equipments.
