I will absolutely NOT be going back to Velocity Martial Arts. We've been attending for two years and a few weeks ago another parent took her child into the bathroom and very loudly disciplined him.
While the mother and the child were screaming, the instructor, Mr Richardson said "That's a good parent!" Then continued to vocalize his support in this abuse. When the mother and child came out of the bathroom, Mr Richardson said "Next time I'll let her use the scorpion stick".
When I called Mr Richardson to talk to him about this he laughed at me! I can't believe a person like this is allowed to work with children. Zero stars wouldn't be good enough for this establishment.
My child and I have attended the school for almost 2 years. While there have been some bumps along the way, he has continued to make friends, apply himself and the skills but physical and life skills to his life. He currently has his peers at church repeating after him and making it their class mantra that they are motivated, dedicated and on a quest to be their best.
As a child who is unique in many ways, they continue to find ways to make him feel special and continue to excel.
He has grown accustom to his schedule and will now remind me that this is the day for karate. He is interested and on the path to get his black belt.
I encourage all parents to look at this program. Just like every program there are challenges, but as a parent who is involved you are heard.

My wife and I have been thrilled with the instruction that he has received at Victory. His self confidence and self esteem have increased do to the positive attitude from the instructors there. I would DEFINITELY recommened Victory for your child looking to learn martial arts.
My son and I have enjoyed the classes at Victory Martial Arts. Mr. Faett and Mr. Richardson are great role models and have taught my son focus and confidence in a fun and active atmosphere. I highly recommend checking it out!
Absolutely loved kickboxing at Velocity. Amazing workout every class, the instructor really encourages you to reach out of your comfort zone and do your best, so I saw major changes in my abilities in just a few short months. Classes are constantly changing so it doesn't get repetitive. 100% recommended!
