So, it's the judgment free zone but I feel like Planet Fitness is judging poor "Ricky".

Everyone is very friendly and helpful if asking a question. Nice place. I think people would like this Fitness Center. It is clean and if I notice something not safe or clean and I mention it, Management takes action. I workout at different times of the day, occasionally, and it seems busier just in the afternoon after work. The mornings are the best time for my workouts.

I love working out there. You don't feel as if you're in competition with anyone else. I love telling people that I will be fifty next year!

I love this place! The staff is great and inviting, they make u feel right at home. It's a non judgemental safe haven.

Clean, workers are REALLY nice and helpful. The only thing i dont like is sometimes the music is too loud.

Always clean, always met with friendly staff. I like the layout of the workout equipment a lot more here than other PF locations. I wish the water pressure for the showers were a bit better, but this is the best one I've been too so far.

I love this gym. Everyone is so friendly and helpful especially the manager!
Personal Trainer Austin is amazing! He's got such motivation to keep you going even after you wanted to give up numerous times!
It's always clean and do far I have not one person look at you all judgmental

I go to this location a lot, much better than the 28th/Lake Eastbrook location.

Nice gym with clean and friendly atmosphere. Staff is friendly and have never felt any sort of negative feeling while being here. With price and convenience I can say it's worth every penny.

The staff are awesome. The locker rooms are always clean. I go during lunch and it never feels too busy.

Nice gym. I have been going for 3 months now and always clean, kept up, and friendly people!! Only issue is they are busy at the beginning of the week. I would recommend this gym if you were looking for on in the Grand Rapids area.

This is a great place for people of all fitness levels to get their body and mind in shape. Plenty of machines for every type of work out, clean friendly environment, and never too busy. I rarely ever have to wait for a machine to open up, and the customers are encouraged to clean their own machines after every use. There's so much to do, and plenty of entertainment for those long work-outs. From beginner looking to start getting in shape and making positive life choices, to pros, who just want a healthy environment to keep doing what makes them feel great, there's a place for you here. There's also tanning beds/booths, red light therapy booths, massage chairs, and water massage chairs/beds. They also do pizza and haircuts every month, which although sounds odd for a gym to give pizza, is a great way to meet others, and have some comfort food to congratulate a good month of hard work. The locker rooms are clean and well stocked, and there are private changing and shower booths for your comfort. Planet Fitness boasts their "Judgement free zone" which means that you won't expierience criticism from douchebag fitness jerks, aka "Lunks", and your welcome and encouraged to work out at your own pace and level. Get yourself the membership, and get in shape. It will be one of the best decisions you have ever made.

The new manager is annoying. They say they are judgement free but he seems to be the most judgmental prick there. Their other motto is be free but then they have a ridiculous dress code that they only enforce on random days and it isn't about indecency but showing too much shoulder/back/sides...? (Meanwhile there is a guy who works out in short tight shorts that show literally everything but that is allowed...) It sucks there are no squat racks and the smiths are always full. Often I've been creeped out b an employee there asking very personal questions or totally ignored by the desk while an employee was drawing random sketches right in front of me.

This is the gym for beginners and physical therapy in the Kentwood area. I go partially to do P.T. for recurring patella subluxion in both knees, and they have the machines I used in-clinic. Other gyms don't have the variety of machines Planet Fitness does. If you feel like you're jumping in and you're worried and insecure, feeling like you don't know how to work out, you won't do better than here. They have a freelifting area, but a majority of this gym is machines. Using machines helps you establish your starting weights and develop proper form. It's more expensive, but they have personal trainers on deck who are very kind and not judgemental. If you go in the morning, it's very crowded, and after 10 PM it's almost empty. The only thing that leaves something to be desired is the professionalism of the front desk team. They have innapropriate conversations audibly, and sometimes you end up feeling like a neusence when you go up there, either to card-in for your workout, or ask for help. That is never acceptable for any customer service staff. There was one occasion where I was trying to adjust a machine so I could use it, but I couldn't get it to budge. I asked one of the girls at the counter for help but she obviously didn't know what to do. It isn't her fault, they just need to train their staff better. Overall, I LOVE going here, and I never feel judged or pressured.

The only problem I have with this gym would the fact that there is only Smith machines, which I understand is there thing, but I don't see why they can't implement them into certain areas by choice. Staff is great and machines are always clean. With convenience and price, I cannot complain.

I can't say enough about this gym. Always clean, always friendly, and they've pretty much thought of everything you'd ever want in a gym. I look forward to going there every day.

Great envirement with all the machines you need to get/stay in shape. Hydro massage beds are nice after a tough workout as well.

I have been coming to this PF location for about 4 months now...i absolutely love the atmosphere and the morning staff! This is the first time I've come at 11pm and I am extremely disappointed with the staff this time of night...there was a smaller Mexican guy and a chubby redhead who has one side of her head shaved...several clients walked in without them noticing or even acknowledging the counter...if I was a potential client and this happened I would never come back here again...its the amazing staff during the day that keeps me coming back...but these 2 night shifters are terrible!

Generally nice gym for the price. Was in much better condition when it opened, but as time has gone on, I've noticed less care paid to the upkeep of machines and regular cleaning of the locker rooms and showers.

This Planet Fitness is usually always packed due to its convenient location which can make it slightly difficult to get in and do good work. I often find myself compromising on days where I want to work one specific part of my body. The price you pay in comparison to other gyms is definitely reflected in this way, however the staff is friendly and there genuinely is no judgement.
In short: It has good gym fundamentals, but can be crowded.

Great PF! Always clean, lots of machines and different areas to work out. The lifting area is pretty small and gets busy but people are usually kind and courteous.

Love my pf... The people are great, the machines are easy to use, wish there was a scale in the rest room, and a bit of more room for a non machine work out. I rcommend the black card membership... Tanning if your into that. Some crazy machine that scares me to pieces and the most wondeful contraption ever.. Hydro massage lounger...
