There aren't words that do justice in explaining how amazing Kula is. I was always incredibly intimidated by yoga, and studios, and other people doing yoga around me. So, when I found Kula I was a little reluctant and nervous. However, this studio is the least judgemental, and most accepting place to practice. I have never felt like I didn't belong, or wasn't "good" enough at yoga to participate. Everyone that goes to Kula has the same outlook, and the same openness. The instructors are wildly knowledgeable, but they also get down there with you, and flow through the poses, as they are teaching. They truly understand the struggles of each yogi, and help you hone in your practice to what best suits you. They encourage you to try new things, and help you build up to some of the more difficult poses. They will walk you through step-by-step, and when you finally nail that one elusive pose, they are just as excited and ready to celebrate as you are! The owner, Megan, is beautifully well educated in yoga, and actually offers teacher training. The majority of teachers at Kula graduated from her class, and have her same passion, vivacity, and sheer joy about yoga. A couple weeks ago, I unrolled my mat for class, and who should plop down right next to me? Megan. She takes the classes, right there with you, as do the other instructors. Kula truly embodies what a community is, and accepts everyone that walks through that door. I can't imagine myself at any other studio!
