Clean, Light, Always Friendly. Child-care is super helpful. Our go-to on a rainy day with kids, and my own downtown morning retreat. Thank you Boll Y.

If you are looking for a place for the whole family to spend time enjoying each others company while pursuing a healthy way of life this may be the place to do that. My family and I have found this place to be run by all professional staff in evercompletelyt of it's operation. The building is always "SHIP SHAPE," or clean. They offer so many resources you have to go to their website because I do not want to type them all and could not if I tried, lol. But I believe it is worth the cost for singles or family. The latest weight machines treadmills and ellipticals stair stepper's free weights a completely modern wellness center. Two or three pools. A "CHILD WATCH," where parents may drop off the children for fun, enjoyment and safety while they themselves utilize the Y's resources for fun or exercise. Check it out you will not be sorry. Peace.

Literally every worker there has been helpful, kind, and goes above and beyond in answering any question. I lived in the south for a few years, and one thing that Southerners love is that they have that restaurant where everyone is super polite. I can guarantee that this YMCA has workers that are more polite than the best restaurant you've ever been to.

The staff in the welcome center are knowledgeable, professional and curteous. The lifeguards are alert and very watchful. The lifeguards deserve a raise too. The YMCA is clean, spacious and fun.

Worked there for a few months in child watch. Didn't get paid for my first two days because the director J. Castleberry says she wasn't able to put it in on time. Dig that.
Love the kids but my boss must've just qualified because you can tell she doesn't know what she's doing. I on numerous occasions was to work the child center afterwards. Center is ran like a mad house. I wish i could give it no stars. I don't have any credential or cpr/first aide but was assigned to watch up to 4 infants or more. Teachers having altercations in the classroom with infants and also a parent in the classroom. Smh. Both teachers should've been fired.
Not enough food to feed all. Seen a teacher often twerking in a class full of 1-2 year olds. I wouldn't recommend my pet there. Some gets spanked. A infant head hit the floor and staff lied about what happened to the parent. A coworker assumed the infant could seat up with no help. Coworker has no past experience with infants. Some teachers bring there own preteens- teenagers to help out in the center. Smh. Question yourself: do those cameras really work? Would you want your child there?
The director of Jeanine Castleberry just cover things up, talk to the parents and not tell them everything make it sound not so bad or she directs one of the of the teachers to do that. Casselberry's assistant would do a better job than she does, Miss Johnson.

Sleeping teachers. Always out of ratio. I was only supposed to watch classrooms when teacher wants to go on lunch break. But teachers calling off, walking off, and quitting with no notice... Certified teachers being offered 9.70 hour smdh

The director is informed of all incidences. Plus its cameras in every room. Not sure if they work. But i doubt it because too much be going on. I see why YMCA runs threw directors. I was fired. Was sad and glad at the same time. I will miss my kids from child watch. Especially Nico Westin Natalie Isaac and Arie. I very much enjoyed creating Arts and Crafts with them. I also was told Child Watch has never been so much fun. That means a lot to me.

I worked here for a few months. It's easy money working in child watch but the child care center is unprofessional. I've seen a lead teacher twerking in a classroom of toddlers. Of course the toddlers follow suit. Playing club music in a toddler classroom, the director Mrs Castleberry.. Walks in and no. Discipline actions were given. Just a laugh. Another teacher sleeping on the floor. Director gossiping with employee's. Two teachers in a loud argument which lead from the child center to the hallway which started in a classroom of toddlers and a parent in there. A director who had to inly qualify for the position because she didn't know what she's doing. Some people was working 10 to 11 hours with no breaks. Always under staffed and out of ratio. Favoritism in bold print. I can see why the YMCA has a reputation of going through directors fast. The director offered me a higher position twice but was only going to pay me child watch wages and knowing that I don't have a degree in anything. I was fired and now the director wants to try and not pay me for my last two days. She seems to be not so qualified for the position very unprofessional and I have proof what directors speaks like this??? I applied for child watch but was given an assistant teacher position. No credentials no CPR first aid credentials it didn't matter. Although she told me I was going to have to take a CPR first aid course and that Ms Castleberry said that she would send me a link to where I'm supposed to take the course it never happened. After child watch closed at 1 I will proceed to work in the child Center until 2 or even until closing which is 6 sometimes I get no breaks. Ms Castleberry is doing the only person that has access 2 hour timesheet and she also does the schedule she does payroll and Ms Castleberry is known for going in there changing the hours that you've already worked because she's trying to stay in budget once you mention it to her she'll say I'll fix it but never do. I wouldn't send my dog to that day care center. Afternoon shift in child watch it's like being in high school. Unprofessional and does not follow the policy I walked in one day and saw a child being put in timeout she had to sit in the corner until she stops crying. That was unacceptable. One thing for certain two things for sure I made an impression in child watch design bedroom myself and all the kids love me and I miss and love all of them

I Haven't been too pleased with my experience here. I called on May 3rd, the time was around 2:30 pm to 3 pm. The front desk guy was rude, short, and when I said thank you, he said uh huh. If your inquiring about a service that your paying for, please don't act like I'm bothering you when I'm the customer. No one at the desk returns messages and half the time they never have a clue about anything. The professionalism with some staff is mediocre for other reasons I prefer not to get into. I'm just not too pleased.

My kids absolutely love Boll YMCA. I was amazing at how quickly my boys learned to swim in their first lessons there.

Great place but the parking situation is poor.

Should be a private lot

If you are seeking childcare from the Boll Family YMCA, please ask these questions:
1. How many Program directors have been employed from the last 3 years, ( 2014-2017 5 program directors) Why?
2. Ask if all people connected in your childs room has proper credentials, & is cpr trained
3.please if you do enroll your child DO MANY surprise visits, you may be surprised on what you see.
4. Look up their past licences through Lara , review pass complaints
5.Ask what curriculum they use,is it researched based, or just a mix of nothing
If you are paying money, your child should have the best, not substandard education

Multiple terrible experiences with the front desk girl named something with a B I think Brittany.... an utter disgrace to customer service for the Y. Feel sorry for her and the leadership....she should fold towels and clean bathrooms anything to keep her away from the first point of contact

I registered my daughter for a program online. The program ended up being cancelled and I was told to expect my refund within 3-5 days. Never happened! Called several times to find out why and was always put through to an answering service to leave a message. Left several messages and never once did I received a call back. Finally, two weeks later, I called any and all #'s I could find and actually reached a person. Found out my refund was never processed and to expect it in a few days. Flat out unacceptable!!!!! And if I could, I wouldn't even give them 1 star.
