They never answer their phones, the place is way overpriced for what they have, and they will continue to take money out of your account even after your membership contract is up. I have been trying for weeks now to get ahold of them via phone call to get 2 going on 3 months worth of fees back. LEARN TO ANSWER THE PHONE AND RETURN CALLS LIKE A REAL BUSINESS.

Vic was very welcoming to me as an out of town drop in. He made sure I had a good experience and full access at a very reasonable price. The facility is bright and clean and equipment is everything you would expect. I do a lot of body weight and plyometric, with stretch bands and medicine balls and they have everything I need. The place has a very friendly vibe and Vic sets the tone,
This is a great fitness center. Everyone is very laid back. The staff are super friendly and have been extremely helpful on the rare occasions when I've needed help with something. The convenience of being able to go at any time day or night is a huge plus for me and my schedule. Love it.
I did not have a good experience with this anytime fitness. My fiance and I signed up for the trial. When signing up the manager; I believe his name is Vic, kept giving us a hard time about not being sure if we wanted to use Anytime Fitness as our gym. I finally gave in and told him that we would just sign up for the trial. While we were there in the office he was mean to a woman co-worker, giving her disapproving glances and not valuing her opinion when she was talking to him. The gym itself is fine, albeit a little small. When I went to return the key fobs, because we decided to go to a different gym, the owner said to me "oh I see your fiance has been in here more then you have" Like what?? little did he know, I had both gym keys on my key ring and ended up using my fiances instead. The whole experience with the owner made me feel judged as a woman and judged like I wasn't fit or thin enough. Also, when I went to get the reimbursement after I decided to end the trial, the owner "accidentally" re-charged me the $100 I initially put as a deposit. I ended up being reimbursed correctly, but the whole this was very shady. I don't recommend this gym based on interactions with the owner. Maybe the other anytime fitness in Ann Arbor would be better.

Perfect for busy people that value time! Get in, get out, and move on with your day! No meatheads!

Good equipment, but the wifi almost never works.
After several years as a member, I moved across the state. The shady billing practices they use to squeeze every last monthly payment out of you are shameful. If you leave, make sure you tell them 60 days in advance so you don't end up paying for two months after you leave like I did.
Maybe they'll use the proceeds on a new router.

I've been a member here for 4 years. Ive continued my membership bc of their pros but I also have a second membership at another gym bc of their cons. Pros = it's location is convenient, parking is free, it's open 24 hrs, free WiFi with membership, lockers available for daily use (bring your own lock) or a cubby if you just need to set down a few items. Cons = the equipment is in poor shape and often times not maintained. I brought a screwdriver with me the last time I came bc wanted to make sure the press I wanted use didn't fall apart as I was lifting. Then there's the free space areas = members here I find are disrespectful to a simple gym courtesy "put things back where they belong". Free weights are scattered about, lifting discs are never where you'd think you'd find them. In the winter I find people wearing their salty wet shoes on equipment which ruins it. They post signs everywhere asking people not to do that but they ignore it. They don't offer daily workout classes (there's no space for it really so it's not their fault). This place is always packed (peak times are before and after the 8am-5pm work hours). This can be annoying for anyone who works a regular M-Fri job. In good news they are updating some of their ellipticals and treadmills which is nice.
Well equipped, TVs on cardio, private showers, 24 access. Much better than those big box outfits were it takes 10 mins to just walk to the packed locker room to drop off (lock up) your bag & get back out to workout.

I have been going to this gym consistently since November and has everything that you would typically need for a gym. However compared to when I went back home to visit family in Virginia, the equipment in newer facilities are like night and day. This is a very bare bones small gym that can get a little stuffy during peak hours.
I'd suggest going early in the morning or late in the evening. Even then you might have to wait for the two squat racks if needed. I find that sometimes it feels like the cable machines might need a maintenance check when it feels a little awkward to pull (not smooth and consistent). Otherwise it has what you would need to get in and get in shape.

I received a free mrmbership from Silver Sneakers, which I get from my health insurance. They have a very good selection of machines, but I did not go for the personal training, so I don't know what that is like.
This gym SUCKS!!! Its super hard to get to and they don't have a changing room, just shower rooms so you can get your socks soaked to get changed into. Oh and be prepared to spend 35 min trying to find an entrance. Definitely wouldn't recommend this gym!!
This gym has everything you need to get a great workout in. The staff is very nice and the trainers are very helpful. I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants a great facility available 24 hours a day. Sign up today.
Been here for about a year now. While it is small, during the mornings it never get too packed and there are few enough people to allow for largely unfettered access to all of the equipment needed for a good lift. However, they could afford another full bathroom as the shower line can get long in the mornings.
Compared to other Anytimes I've been to seems small and crowded
I've been going to this gym for several years. The staff are friendly and I like the size of the gym (and of course, the fact it is open 24/7). However, there is constantly down equipment and the wifi is awful. I end up turning off my wifi and use my data. There's currently a note on one of the treadmills that says "do not use after midnight because it is too noisy." The Anytime Fitness on Whitaker Rd. definitely has this location beat in terms of equipment and internet connection. I hope they upgrade some of the aspects of this location.
I didn't join. The space felt a bit like rented office space over-crowded with machines. Seems well maintained, but I would argue it's niche is people who need 24hr availability on the NE of AA and value reduced travel time over price. The price is significantly more than Planet Fitness (~3-4X) and about 2/3 of Washtenaw Fitness Center. If you have time and are price sensitive I'd recommend PF; if you don't need 24hr availability and can pay more WFC, but if you can afford it and are pressed for time this place would do well.
