I had been here several times before and had good experiences but following my most recent experience I will never return.
When I called last week to schedule an appointment I was told the computer system was offline but they would call me back when it was online. They never called back so I called again to schedule.
When I arrived for my noon appointment, the doors were locked and no one answered the phones. I waited for a half-hour before leaving. I then got a phone call shortly after 1:30 asking where I was.
I explained to Diane, the executive director, about the situation. She said she would figure it out and call me right back. She never apologized. Never called back. Never offered to reschedule. Nothing.
This place isn't what it used to be. Strongly consider taking your business elsewhere.
Took my husband here yesterday for a couples massage to celebrate our anniversary. It was supposed to be a relaxing, romantic experience. Instead it was PAINFUL, leaving both of us with bruises!! The atmosphere lacked the aviance I expected and the tables were on opposite sides of a large room. It didnt feel like a couples thing at all. Not a good experience and I wouldn't recommend.
LaGrant does truly amazing, healing massage. I have chronic pain and cement-like tension from scoliosis and arthritis, and it always feels like he targets sore spots with incredible precision and depth of pressure. It's such a *?*%# relief!! The massage overall feels like a well-integrated treatment, rather than a mechanical and piecemeal approach. As I've worked with LaGrant for more than a year (once a month on average?), I can honestly say it's had a significant therapeutic effect on my health. I feel more ease and spaciousness in my joints, muscles, and ligaments for at least 2 full days after each session, and gradually over the long-term.
I personally like super deep pressure, but I've heard he works well with a range of diverse clients. I also appreciate how much he enjoys healing work -- putting together a vast array of knowledge and experience over the years and always seeking to grow professionally.
Rub is a great place with fantastic staff who are warm and helpful. It has a great atmosphere and the service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and will definitely go back.
