Does anyone know if they are charging current members during the pandemic?
Northeast Fitness has a great and friendly staff. In the morning the gym is pretty empty and even though the afternoon does get busy I have never needed to wait for a machine other than the stair master. They offer free classes like yoga and zumba and also offer a free pick up basketball league on Fridays and Saturdays.
My spot...small but very open and welcoming and they have 4 on 4 basketball...very competitive.
Need to do a better job explaining cancellation proceedings and not be incorrect about last billing date.
Also the locker rooms are dirty and smell, lockers are broken, and equipment is outdated.

Great place for a workout. Love that it has a basketball court (renovating it soon)and wish the other location did as well. During peak hours it can get busy but that is the same with any place, i advise going at alternate times. Staff are friendly.
Only bad thing- You can get people who take over bars for extended periods of time while they talk instead of lifting

The gym itself is fine but I totally do no agree with their business practices. When I went to cancel, The contract states that you have to give a 30 day notice from the last withdrawal date to cancel. My fault for not understanding it fully, but for instance I canceled my membership on 12/21 so one would assume the 1/1 payment would be the last monthly withdrawal date. Nope they said I would have had to have told them by 12/1 to have the 1/1 date as the last withdrawal, date. So basically no matter what date you cancel , you have to pay a extra month. When I tried to dispute it, they said it was the bank not them (not true) And I could still use the gym another month which is totally not the point. I have been a member at many gyms and never had this expierence. I have also worked at two gyms and never heard of this. I fully expected the 1/1 payment to come out canceling 12/21, but to still come out 2/1 is insane. So lesson learned but just wanted to warn other people. I would never refer anyone here because of that. Just totally shady.

Average "globo-gym". Typical gym goers and atmosphere. At least one guy in a Boston Celtics jersey, jeans and work boots curling in the squat rack. I wish this was a joke.

Decent and clean facility but as mentioned in previous reviews, there exists a dubious billing system. When you call to get any additional information or clarification you are met by confrontational/rude staff members.
The Quincy YMCA or Planet Fitness perform better where Northeast falls short.
This gym has continued to charge me for 13 months after I cancelled my membership, adhering to their cancellation policy set forth in the membership agreement.
They refuse to refund me for the amount that was unethically charged.
Bryan was excellent help. He helped me find a good memebership for the time I'm down here. The gym Has free weights, machines, and a good floor to do cleans.
I would absolutely not recommend going here. The mens locker room had a tremendously bad smell and they had no interest in fixing this during our time at the gym. We ended up cancelling because of it and they hassled me over the phone and said they weren't willing to cancel over the phone. My wife went in and cancelled the membership and they still continue to bill us. I'm now taking this up with my bank as they have no interest in fixing the situation.
Hands down the worst experience I've ever had. Unwilling to work with you and Alex the person who "handles manager duties" was smug and inconsiderate. $39 dollar annual fee was thrown around like the Bible its self. He claimed to be a 4 year Navy Veteran but obviously had no appreciation for the service. I merely stated I had been deployed for 4 months and hadn't been there and was willing to eat nearly 100$ in fees and asked if he could do anything about the 39$. And he practically laughed in my face while thriving on a perceived position of power and be a total and complete **shole.
You're better off getting fat and lazy then to give this horrible establishment your money.
