I don't know how he does it , but Mike Alves keeps a group of people of varying ages and abilities motivated, moving, and engaged (at 6:00 in the morning, no less). Since starting this program in late February, I have seen drastic improvements to my biometrics, my running speed, and my general flexibility and energy level.

I've tried all kinds of fitness approaches, and this program really works. I'm sticking to it. And it's fun!

I'm 57 years old and had my right hip replaced 8 years ago. My wife and I decided it was time to get in better shape so we both joined in early February after I got an OK from my doctor. I was not grossly overweight (191 lbs and 6ft 2"), but after changing my diet, attending classes 3 times a week, and doing some additional cardio workouts (walking), I was able to lose 20 lbs in approximately 2 months and to actually change my body and health for the better.
Mike Alves is an excellent coach and instructor, and I recommend this program to anyone who needs the discipline of a structured system like I did. The program also has many side benefits and challenges. I especially liked the Harvard Coliseum stair run on May 18th which I would have never been able to do as well as I did without the program and Coach Alves.
EXCELLENT!!

Great coach! Finally a program that works for me!
I've done other boot camps before. This one is more than just showing up and running for an hour.
Each class is different and always enjoyable. The people are supportive and fun. Mike always has great tips for exercise AND for nutrition. He explains why we are doing what we are doing instead of just saying "DO IT". I HAVE LOST 30 POUNDS - SO FAR!! MIKE IS AWESOME!!!!!

I'm a 44 year old mother of two and the "muffin top" has faded to almost nothing in only two phases. All abilities are welcome in the class and you can choose the level of exercise that works for you. Some people are stronger than others, but we can all work out at the same rate. Thanks Mike, for you positive attitude and great coaching!
