After finishing my college athletic career in 2011, I assumed my days of quality coaching and a supportive athletic community were over. I was quickly proven wrong in August of 2016 when I joined CJP. All of the coaches are knowledgeable and approachable, and really focus on staying healthy and improving yourself day by day. Each coach has a different area of expertise, which really contributes to a well rounded level of fitness for each athlete. Whether you've been a competitive athlete all your life or have never stepped foot in a gym, CJP will transform you. Personally, I have always been a runner. When I joined CJP I thought I would be giving up running for a while, which wasn't a bad idea because I kept getting overuse injuries. Through CJP I was able to not only become a stronger athlete and learn new skills with safe form, but I also became a stronger runner. I just completed the Boston Marathon, after thinking I was done running marathons for good. Through the expert coaching at CJP and even some personal coaching on my marathon racing strategy through Coach Kris (the ultra marathoner), I ran the toughest race of my life and stayed consistently strong the entire time (and stayed relatively uninjured). I can't speak highly enough about this crew. From the athletes to the coaches, they've become family to me, and the supporting community that I never thought I would have again. As Javy says, you just gotta show up.
