There is not enough equipment at their gyms for the number of people working out there. It's crowded, messy and poorly managed. The reason I decided to try it out, was convenience of location, but I regret giving it a chance.
In the sales meeting they offer a free personnel training session, which turns out to be an opp. to up sell on more personnel training. Rather than be sold on a personal trainer, I asked to be given specific feedback on workouts I was doing and they refused. It is not a free session, it is a sales meeting.
Their initial sales process is misleading, and the information given about hidden charges and wait times is not complete, or effectively communicated.
I do not recommend anyone use this gym or company.
Rude manager. Good luck trying to cancel your membership. The manager will send an email with other gym members copied on the email threatening to report you to the credit bureau. Will call you a liar if you told him you went in on multiple occasions to cancel your membership.

The gym is fantastic with locations all over the city! Please when you terminate you contract with them go to the home gym you signed up with and get a cancellation receipt from them so that you membership stops and you have proof that you have cancelled.

Don't sign up if you don't want to support a rip off gym! I tried to cancel my membership over the phone and they said I had to come in person. I had moved a couple hours away and made the special trip to close my membership, went to the staff and requested my membership be cancelled, they said no problem and did the work on the computer. They never bothered to give me any paperwork, so now several months after they have sent the bill to collections, they never cancelled my membership. They are a rip off and should be avoided!
One Beacon location closed on Saturday May5 but NO PRIOR NOTICE that they would be closed We all had to commute and then turn around and go home.

No Cell Phone use policy - members can use the equipment while speaking loundly to friends on cell phones. They actually have no policies.
They watch you while you are working out so
zero privacy and the majority and Suffolk Dorm
so you are listen to weights slamming.
Awesome gym, staff is really nice and the locker rooms are very well maintained. I would avoid around noontime and 4pm to 7pm as those are the busiest hours

No WiFi (I like to use Pandora while I lift and watch Netflix while I do cardio), a lot of treadmills are broken, and not enough squat racks or areas to deadlift. But the locker rooms are nice and the location is good.

Classes and instructors are great! There are a couple I try to never miss because they are really fun!

Please repair TVs attached to bikes and other exercise equipment. Most have terrible reception with lots of static. Also two ellipticals are out of order and have been non-functioning for weeks.
