Incredible workout with an exceptional staff. B3 South End has the most welcoming and supportive team. The Play Lounge for Littles is top notch. Highly recommend.
Having never joined a studio before, I really connected with Barre 3 and am now a member here. They have lots of fun contests to keep you motivated and are very welcoming no matter what your fitness level. Highly recommend! Thank you Barre 3 South End Team!
I love Barre3. I was hesitant and nervous to go to my first class a year and a half ago, but I am pretty sure I signed up for a membership immediately afterwards. The staff and instructors are friendly and make you feel like part of the community! I love it! One of those places where everyone knows your name!
Can work at the pace and intensity that you are comfortable with. During a class. Instructors and staff are friendly and helpful. The workout is fun and cardio, strength, isometrics, balance, and stretching (its the next day and i'm feeling it in my muscles, but its not so bad). Studio is well lit and clean, with mirrors, bar, ball, and freeweights. There are cubbies for storage during your exercise class. I found the classes on the MindBodyOnline app. I came for a Saturday afternoon class and it was pretty full. I bought a class 3 pack and I am definitely going back!
Nice & friendly environment ! Great & challenging work out!

Awesome workout, not your average barre, has a lot more cardio mixed in but so fun and great instructors, super friendly front office and there's always meter parking available right outside their door. If you are looking for a fun and absolutely great class to go, try them out.

Barre3 is such a great workout! You really work out every muscle during class. The studio inside is gorgeous and everyone that works there is super welcoming and friendly! They really go above and beyond to make each client feel comfortable throughout the class. I highly recommend this studio!

As many people know I love fitness, and of the classes I taken, Barre has always been one of my favorite for strengthening and lengthening.
On the very top of my "favorite Barre studio/class" list is Barre 3 studio in Boston's South End. It is, by far, my favorite place to go for a fitness class.
Why? Well, I was one of the lucky Barre-goers who had the opportunity to take a class with the Co-owner, and one of my favorite human beings all around, Jamie Golden, while she was preparing to open her new (and absolutely beautiful) studio, and I was SO impressed with both the class format and her instructing skills.
As someone who is a former athlete and continues to love and make fitness a major part of my daily life, but has been injured in the past, I believe one of the most important elements of a group fitness class, whatever it may be, is the instructor. I look for an instructor who is continuously monitoring each individual in the room, while also providing ongoing verbal instruction, positive encouragement and, most importantly in my eyes, physical cues.
Jamie did this from the very beginning with consistent delivery, and an inspirational "you go girl" attitude.
As someone who has intensely trained, I want to protect my body but I also want to get in a great workout. For me, I love a workout that involves getting my heart rate up, functional and/resistance training and some active stretching.
Jamie's class had each of these aspects. It was challenging, but not overwhelming, and she provided options for all levels in the class, while keeping the pace and tempo consistent. I really liked how I was keeping my heart rate up, but I never felt rushed.
I do not write many reviews, but if I had to recommend one fitness class and studio, it would 100% be a class at Jamie Golden's new Barre 3 studio in Boston's South End. It is was of the best fitness experiences I've ever had with the nicest, coolest and most talented Barre instructor, Jamie Golden!
I consider myself an exercise enthusiast. I usually like high energy and high impact cardio classes. I have tried a few Barre classes in the past and felt that it was sort of boring and not for me. When Barre3 opened up in the South End I decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised. I find it very different than typical barre classes. I have taken classes with multiple teachers at Barre3 South End and find it energetic, fun and I am usually sore for a couple of days afterwards... always a plus! I fully recommend that you try it out. Each teacher has her own flare and offers a unique perspective to the exercises.
