The instructors and workout are amazing. Absolutely love going to the bar method. The class time offerings are perfect for my schedule as well. Have been going here for years and will continue to!

The Back Bay Bar Method on Clarendon is amazing. I have done cross fit, body sculpting and other types of barre classes but The Bar Method is the best. In particular, the Bar method focuses on isometric exercises that strength core muscles. You can see you body change and get stronger. The location is great and when you are not on the ground doing push ups you can look out to the Commonwealth mall, trees and grass. Plus the teachers are attentive, correct you kindly and are fun!

The Bar Method is awesome! The instructors are highly trained and extremely hands on. They even know your name! What i think is great is that I KNOW that i'm getting the most out of the workout because the instructors ensure correct posture and alignment. It is a strenuous workout and i highly recommend!

A wonderful studio!! The quality of instructors is amazing: they learn your names every class, and are attentive in giving corrections and offering encouragement. The workout varies regularly, which means that you're never overstraining one muscle group. The studio is also quite body-positive: there's none of the emphasis on weight loss, "beach bodies," or pain = gain = thinness that I've heard in other workout venues. So, all this to say, I'd highly recommend the Bar Method -- it's the best!

The class itself was good, but all other aspects of the experience we're not. I went with a friend who said the firs class was free, and they gave her a really hard time before letting me take the class. Then they made me change out of my shorts to these frumpy longer pants, what I wore was too revealing. Really fake people there, very judgemental. Most expensive exercise class in Boston, not worth it.

My wife joined bar and loved it, so I decide to check it out too. 3 years later and I'm in the best shape of my life. Bar strengthens all your core and stabilizer muscles, which has helped a lot with my back and knees.

It's a good mix of strength and flexibility training, both of which help me feel good as I get older.

I have tried many bar studios and this is by far my favorite! The instructors are incredible, the flow of class is perfect, it is very easy to book a class through the app, and the staff are also wonderful & flexible if you need to make a last minute change. The studio is very clean, and this location is very convenient.

Bar Method Back Bay has been such an incredible experience! All of the teachers lead challenging and supportive classes that push you to work hard while also making sure you are working out safely for your body. It is such a great community, and is the perfect place for all fitness levels!

Amazing and challenging low impact work out. I've been coming for a year and can see full body results. The studio is really nice and clean with full locker room amenities. The instructors are friendly and attentive, making sure you're working hard without hurting yourself.

I have been going to the bar method for more than 5 years ,3 to 4 times / week and I love every minute of each class I take .
It is a fabulous work out , that transformed my body and make me feel great and relaxed at the same time!!

I came to the Bar Method after dealing with a number of tendon and soft tissue injuries from years of overuse in endurance sports and scoliosis in my back. My PT chiro recommended barre and I feel supremely attended-to at the Bar Method for the use of props, levels and options, and form and adjustments. The Bar Method has helped me rebuild strength throughout my whole body and correct alignment issues. Though, like any good class, the classes burn like crazy, the "good" type of pain has kept the bad pain of injuries at bay. I love all the teachers, the studio environment, and the culture. I've been a member for over a year now!

Downtown Boston location - This place is great. Classes are consistent no matter the instructor. All instructors learn your name in the 1st class and help you throughout class to perfect your form. Locker room is never crowded. Facility is clean.

I last reviewed the studio after 5 classes; I am now at 15 classes. I see more definition in my arms and I am better at the technique -- though still nowhere near as flexible and strong as many of the other students in the class. Definitely a class you can do consistently; improving, but not getting any easier! All studio locations seem to have opened more weekend times which is great as well; I was waitlisted recently and got in a couple days prior, so don't hesitate to sign up. Thank you Bar Method!

Great full body workout. High repetition for exercises means quick body changing results if you attend 3+ times per week. Upper body and thigh exercises yield better lengthening and definition results than Pure Barre. However, the core section overly focuses on upper abs via crunches. Received significantly better results from Pure Barre in this arena due to focus on obliques, lower abs, dynamic movement, and through utilization of a ball for support instead of mats, which limit flexion of abs during eccentric motion. Also, would love if the music was louder and there was less counting of reps remaining - class would be more motivating. Lastly, would be great if we did two seat exercises instead of just one to balance out the three thigh exercises. However, overall, I see the best results at Bar Method and have signed up for unlimited classes.

The Bar Method is amazing! I felt it was really hard at the beginning, well, I still think it's hard after two months of practice, but I am improving every time I go to class.
All instructors that I had are amazing, they call out your name and correct your posture. Super helpful! I see my body changing already, feels really good when looking at mirror
and wearing dresses that couldn't fit me before. Highly recommended.

Megan at Back Bay was incredibly helpful. Staff was welcoming and helpful at my first visit to The Bar Method. I have since taken five more classes at both Back Bay and Financial District and Megan is one of my favorites. She is encouraging, has great energy and keeps us all on point. Megan takes time to learn your name and I appreciated her help making sure that I positioned myself correctly to get a safe and effective workout. Loved the music and flow of the class. The studio is quaint but clean and has all the amenities one needs to workout before or after work and enjoy the showers and little luxurious toiletries. I will be back!

I have been making a conscious effort of going to barre method a few times a week on my lunch break and I can definitely see a difference! I love the 45 min class option at lunch time because it allows me to break up my day! I have loved all the teachers thus far as well! Thanks barre method!

The downtown location is great! The instructors are good at helping when your form is incorrect. Good workout for those who need to work on core stability.

One of my favorite barre studios in Boston. The class is easy to follow for newcomers, but also a great, challenging, full-body workout. The studio is beautiful and the instructors are welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout class. Highly recommended!

Love this place! I work in the financial district and it is the perfect lunch time workout. The teachers are high energy and are always walking around the class to make sure you are doing the exercises correct or offer modifications. The locker room area is clean and has all the amenities you could need to get back to work looking great. The pricing is just right too.
