I was directed to this location by the Le Meridien hotel, and found myself really enjoying it. I hope to return. Benji made me feel welcomed from the start. It is a small but modern facility and is very clean. Perfect gym location coming from my hotel stay. Nice and quiet around 2 p.m.-- I felt like I had the gym to myself.
I went through some drama but they were willing to quickly admit what's going on and tryied to fix it, then fixed it.

I quit this gym after reading the managers response. Please go ahead read all the lower scored reviews. The manager slaps everyone that gave lower score in the face. It is their true color.

They will lie to make you pay more. And take no responsibility.
They have a discount plan for certain companies. My
company is one of them. I asked them initially for a discount. They somehow said my company is not enlisted therefore no. Later I found out that I should have received the discount. Made an inquiry about it. Waited a week to get a response. Didn't get any response. Had to go front desk to ask second time about it. Then answer I received was they said they have no refund policy and there is nothing they can do.
I am rich enough to not care about penny 20 bucks that I paid extra. I am literally paying 425 bucks a month for a personal trainer in this faciliy.
It's more about integrity of running a business.
You make a mistake. You fix it you dont excuse it by saying it's against company policy.

Great Gym my experience has been nothing but positive. I don't do any personal training or classes so cannot speak to that.
The entire gym is very modern and has a very cool atmosphere to it. There's all the equipment you need for strength and cardio training which is what I focus on. The crowd ranges from people starting off on their fitness goals to some serious regulars. I haven't had many negative experience other than getting asked my trainers on multiple occasions if I was interested in a "fitness evaluation" which was a minor annoyance.
Love it. Have been going for over a year and will continue to do so!
I would never recommend this gym to anyone!! The VIM manager is a total creep and extremely disrespectful. I came in to get info for my husband and I. While on tour there manager Brian referenced my 10 lbs I needed to lose over and over. When it came down to going over the prices I explained to him I needed to talk this over with my husband. The manager then replied "do you have ask your husband every time you spend money?" I was really turned off by that, but the gym by itself is really nice. Later that night I received a text message from the manager thanking me for coming in. I thought that was somewhat nice but out of line. But the following day I received 3 more text including a shirt less pics and 3 blocked calls from the manager begging me to train with him. I never gave him permission to text me. I was really creeped out and turned off by VIM. I reached out to the owner in which he down played it by saying " this is his first week" and then said " come back in and let me give you and your husband a gift to make this up." I am really shocked at the behavior of the staff at VIM. I would warn all you ladies not to give your info to them. They will steal it for there own personal use!! Cambridge has many other gyms. Stay away from this one!!!!!!
a great price for start of the art equipment and a funky interior (reminds me of the bat cave). There are two locations - I prefer the one closer to Prospect St. There is a class schedule and a free fitness assessment. Really a better deal than the BSC further up the street.

I've been a member here for almost a year, and I must say that this is the best gym in Central Square, way better than BSC and the YMCA. The facilities are great, the showers and locker rooms are close to spotless, and the instructors are wonderful. The gym seems to attract a nice crowd, instead of intimidating meathead types. People seem to be very friendly and judgement-free. You can tell that the people in charge at VIM really care about the place and their patrons.
