I have gone to about 6 yoga studios in the Cambridge, Charlestown, Somerville area. I chose O2 for a number of reasons, I believe they know their stuff there, i.e. they teach with an understanding of anatomy and physiology and they give knowledgable adjustments. I have lots of physical problems and their classes are the only ones I have taken that I feel safe in. The teachers at O2 also do not participate in doing the Yoga but watch and correct as much as possible. The room is the biggest I have seen among all the studios I visited. The classes cover the basics but always have something new or challenging to try. The three teachers whose classes I try to attend are Emily, Frederique (two warm and knowledgable women who clearly love their work) and Eliot (not the warmest or accessable of people but still a good teacher). The reviewers are right about the frequent and unpleasant overcrowding of students. If I could only attend on weekends and evenings (the most crowded classes) I would not attend at all. O2 is also not good for complete beginners. If I might make a suggestion to them, it would be to have one evening class a week for complete beginners.
