**EDIT** read below to end for update
I would love to leave a 5 star review because i LOVE the workout, and the ambiance and location are both great.
However, I had a really poor customer experience that was addressed in a very odd way so I won't be continuing my business here. We just found out my sister is pregnant so she was here visiting from the West Coast. I wanted to share the Barre & Soul experience with her. I dropped her off to settle into class and had her roll out a mat for me while I parked, then arrived one minute past the hour (the class was starting on the hour). Despite the fact that I had a mat and props out for me, and that my sister was here visiting from across the country, the person at the desk refused to let me in. Further, she spoke to me in an extremely disrespectful manner and degraded me. Then she told me if I had an issue to take it up via email and handed me a business card.
I followed up via email detailing my experience and never heard anything back. It was really really strange and jarring, considering this is a business that is experience-based and should be very customer focused. I'll definitely be taking my money elsewhere since there are so many good barre locations in Boston. I would not recommend this place to a friend.
UPDATE: Someone from the Barre and Soul sales & marketing team reached out to me to review the incident. They were kind and understanding and listened to my feedback. I feel much better now knowing that they value customers higher up in the company, though I would be happier if the incident never occurred. But regardless I appreciated the efforts to reach out and listen.
