Great little place, clean and effective with friendly staff
Great gym with easy parking and friendly staff. Have to say my favorite person here is Mark who greets us by name every time we come in during the week. He knew us and made us feel welcome after the 2nd time coming in and gave us to push to keep coming back.
The selection of equipment is to be expected for the price, plenty of weight machines, and cardio. They also have a day care for those needing someone to watch their kids, although most of the clientele that I see is on the older side.
The shopping center gives lots of options for getting a bite to eat after working out.
Stay far away from this place. I have seen their supposed owner's responses saying they were working to improve their service. NO, not achieved, unfortunately, the front desk staff are (still) complete nincompoops and unpleasant to boot.
Decent branch of the of stereotypical corporate gym. Other members seem friendly and polite and, even if they are quite serious workouters (workers out?), they don't conform to the negative stereotypes in those ads for a rival chain!

When I signed up for their membership I was told that the three-month agreement is the same as you pay monthly, then I realized that was a 3-month obligation and I could't close my account temporally when I needed to be out of town for more than one month. (My friend didn't need to pay the expensive enrollment fee last year but I do this year.)
Why I am so angry now is because I couldn't end my membership (after obligation) immediately, I wasn't noticed when I signed the agreement with them that cancellation will have 30-day process time. This is ridiculous. I will move out of this city very soon and I will just waste a one-month membership fee. They just don't mind. They definitely were intended doing so, so that they can charge you one more time when you want to end your membership. This is a bad ending. This is NOT THE WAY DOING BUSINESS.
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TELL YOUR DEAR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY REALLY SHOULD KNOW.

I stopped in while visiting DC and wished I could join. Very nice, good equipment selection, perfect hours and location - and super nice staff.
Horrible front desk staff "David". Im on my lunch break and moving to Rockville in the next few days and wanted to take a quick look at gold gym facilities in the area. Other 2 locations I went to were super friendly and welcoming but that wasnt the case in Wintergreen. Will not be back to this location and deeply disappointed.

Staff is really friendly and helpful. I'm always greeted at the door by name. The gym is clean. Trainers are personable and helpful and they are clearly enthusiastic about their clients. This gym has all the weights that you need and then some. The bumper plates they have for deadlifts are something a lot of gyms don't have. Overall great gym experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Many many many lies coming from this gym. I signed up for 3 months of PT...did not get much out of it other than a college student trying to make some money. I cancelled the training to end after 3 months, and was subsequently charged for an extra month ($300). Management is claiming I did not cancel in time, however the only person at fault would be the trainer who apparently did not submit the request on time. When I signed up for training, I was told the monthly fees would be $10/month for a membership since I was a new member. Since cancelling my training, they are charging me $40/month and claim that is what I signed up for. I don't even think I can get out of this awful membership without paying a ridiculous amount of fees. Management refuses to reply to any of my emails about the concerns and charges on my account. Would not recommend unless you want to experience terrible customer service total disrespect for your concerns.
WATCH OUT! Lots of red tape and fees to cancel a membership. Pay close attention to the fine print when signing up.

This place is awful. I love golds gym but this one sucks. People hog the machines for hours literally. People play music from their phones so you can hear their music.... pretty rude. And the staff doesn't say two words to you. Awful place I'd give them no stars if I could. There are perverted people at this location too... just terrible
Recently started here out of convenience. Having never been a member of a gym I'm not very impressed. I mean yeah it's a room with weights. And that's it. If you're looking for something other than a room with weights, this isn't the place for you. I've also asked three days now to speak to a trainer and not once have I spoken to one. Don't even need one. Was just curious what the curriculum was. Anyway, meh from me. Maybe if the staff kept the weights in order I'd give them 4 stars. If I had these machines at home I'd never go here.

Good gym crowd, can get busy during prime hours (like any gym), but not to the point where you can't workout. All the regulars are very friendly as well.
Good clean gym with all of the standard equipment. Do yourself a HUGE favor, find Andres Music and get him to train you! He is by far the most effective trainer that I have ever experienced. I have a pattern of signing up for gyms and going for a month or two then never going back... this happens every year or so. For this reason I waited a few months before writing this review. Andres is worth every penny, and if I were a rich man I would just throw money at him for his time... but sadly I am not rich and have to limit my sessions. The gains I am experiencing are fantastic and I can't say enough good things about my experience.
Another person who is worth mentioning is Mark at the front desk. It took 2 visits for him to know me by name and 3 visits before he started giving me a hard time for not coming as often as I should! He is the best and is a great part of the team, he really makes me want to come back again and again.
In general the employees here work well as a team and are exceptional at creating a welcoming and non-intimidating environment.
