My wife went in there trying to get a membership. The associates behind the desk were rude and told her to just use the kiosk to get a membership. She asked questions about the black card membership the person behind the desk had no clue what that was when there are signs all over the gym about the black card membership. The experience that she received and attitude that she got speaks volume about how they truly care about their members.

The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. There is plenty of equipment available and repairs are made quickly when needed. I don't use the showers there so I can't speak to their quality. I do wish they had aerobics or yoga classes, but since they're by far the most affordable gym around it's understandable that they don't.

Meh. Compared to other locations of Planet Fitness, Gaithersburg is not a well-run gym. This is a gym for a no-fuss workout but a few things stand out. Because of the lack of female staff, the women's locker room usually suffers like the clock was broken for 2 years, and the bathroom area doesn't get cleaned during the day. The water purifier has been broken for months, the gym floor is buckling in a few places, there is no scale, and the staff doesn't always know about corporate promotions or their own equipment. This is a case of "you get what you pay for".

I really like this gym - the membership is reasonable and the gym is close. I would give them a 5 if they would keep their tanning beds/booths cleaner. This is a really health issue and I purchased the Black membership (also very reasonable) so that I could use their beds/booths. They need to be cleaned on a regular basis.

Got up at 5am came here to find all the equipment outside and the gym closed. The staff did nothing to notify the members. No signs or verbal notices. They told me to go to Rockville or germantown. It's a good thing I have a black card membership so I can use other locations. I lost 30mins of my morning because of their incompetence. The facilities here are always dirty they never clean the showers. The soap/hand sanitizers are always empty. Theres a broken shower that's been broken for a month. When it rains theres always several buckets collecting water. Terrible management!

After so much of change in all aspects of the gym, I change my rating from three starts to five stars. The gym has improved really well. They brought new equipment and the cleaning is up to date every day. Great work management and the team. Bravo

Just a gym. This is the place to go for a no fuss workout. The equipment is kept clean and in good order. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Really small for a planet fitness. Staff was nice. Went late at night so it was empty. Something was leaking from the ceiling so they had a bunch of buckets lying around.

I have been a member of this gym for about two years now. There has been so much improvement since I started working out here, all because the instructors are really helpful as well as the staff, and their equipment is really complete and good.

What can you say about Planet Fitness? It's the bargain basement of gyms, and you get what you pay for. If you want fancy, be prepared to spend $40 a month more at a gym with a bunch of amenities. The staff here is really friendly, so high marks for that. Other than that, it's a cheap gym. Weights (machines and free weights) and cardio equipment. I've gone for two years simply because that's all I need from a gym and you can't beat $99 for an entire year. As long as you know what you're getting and are fine with that, you'll like this gym. Otherwise, head to Lifetime or LA Fitness nearby. More expensive, but you'll get the pool and spin classes and all that jazz.

I personaly went to the planet fitness at Gaithersburg Md to cancelled my membership in September 12.They took the money for that month even though I have not gone to the gym 2 months prior to that. Anyways they did not process the cancellation untill December and charged me again. I called and spoke to the manager and said they would fix it and refund my money.Again on January I was charged even though I had spoken to the manager who said they would fix it.i again called and this time I spoke to the assistant General manager. She said she will process the refund again. Today they took the yearly monthly fee and it has overdrawn my account. Ive just had the worse experience ever with this gym. Who would be the person to fix this if the GM or Agm cannot fix it??

I go to Gaithersburg Gym. They have many equipment's, affordable monthly cost, 24/7 availability, Nice environment.... As a whole, it is good to spend some time in loosing calories and staying fresh...

I joined the planet fitness in Gaithersburg in August for a no contract. Because of health reason. After that I only had attended the location 3 times. Now it has been 5 month's and came to canceal due to having diverticulitis and a large tumor which is cancer.
Come to find out the staff person at the time locked me into a 12 month contract with Planet fitness I truly had no idea that this was done. In order to get out of my contract I had to go back home and produce the documents. All I have to this experience is definitely check the type of membership and not go on one word when you signed up when they have deals going on. My membership was canceal but please be aware....

New to this club but certainly not to health clubs. Well managed and trained staff. Courteous. Clientele seems considerate and focused. Machines and premises clean. Not overly crowded. Pleasant surprise!

Can't beat the price, best deal as far as price goes. Never had issues but I wish it was less crowded. I usually alter my schedule to avoid the crowd. With the price it's definitely worth it if you don't mind the crowd.
