This was a Great Life Changing Decision for me to make!! I'm seeing results and I'm loving the new shape I'm putting on!! Its definitely worth the monthly payments!!
I do like LA fitness Bowie love the line up for Monday at 545, Tuesday evenings Thursday evenings and Friday Mornings and Saturday mornings. We really need to get something better on Wednesday nights. Can we get Kickboxing class here. People are leaving Bowie to go to Crofton and Laurel for those classes. Please, please.
The training instructor who teaches aqua fit on Fridays and Boot Camp on Thursdays is amazing! He gives you a great workout. You will not be disappointed. The gym including the locker room/showers and pool are pretty clean. Kathy who cleans the gym does a great job.
When I came in to LA Fitness back in August 2017, I had gained quite a bit of weight. I felt bad but the General Manager Donny Edwards was super pumped that I could meet my goals! He applauded me for taking the steps for working out. He helped a LOT and sold me a great membership not like other club sales people who will tell you anything to get your business. I appreciated that he showed me the CORRECT equipment to focus on but not just equipment, diet AND exercise. It's very apparent he cares about being healthy. When he sponsored customer Appreciate Day, he served HEALTHY SNACKS!
Very Professional Friendly staff and they just extended their hours to 10:00 PM. Donnie the manager is working hard to increase the state of the art equipment and a wide variety of classes to keep you in shape. Join now great plans to choose from. Pat Blake
Our family greatly respects, and appreciates the dedicated , consistently considerate, highly professionally inspiring staff, at the LA Fitness, Bowie location . Mr Donny the GM is very knowledgeable in every aspect of his business, his professional yet very personable personality would encourage even the most discerning personality to stop ,and take notice, in a time of machine/ computer mechanized every thing ,where most all is rushed or automatic repetition he is humanely fresh ,inspirational in his greeting ,and approaches ,to each guest as well, as each staff member , from my observations thus positively inspiring not only his staff, but each member that enters his site , which makes every visit a visit to look forward to, working out is relevant ,relaxed , progressive, fun the facility is always exceptionally well kept, for the most part as a member you are remembered by the staff which really makes a big difference, you are always made to feel safe, welcomed, appreciated as a member, always greeted positively, those with special needs are given exceptional considerations consistently,. We find this highly impressive on all levels , and we are very appreciative for such a outstanding professional yet very humane staff Alice and many others at this particularly site, there is a Greenbelt site that we found to be the complete opposite in our experience if it were not for Donny and the Bowie site I personally would never have tried La fitness again.

Best local gym in the area. The general manager Donny & operations manager Elle are always so welcoming and make the gym feel like one family and the gym is always clean. The front desk staff is always smiling and welcoming. Hours should be extended to match other gyms in the area.

I have truly enjoy my experiences at LA Fitness in Bowie. I've enjoyed them so much that I have enrolled my family here as well.
Major kudos to the general manager Donnie and cleanup staff member Ms. Cathy and others. Also a shout out to the pool guards.

I am a member at Gaithersburg LA club. I needed help with updating some information with my account and unfortunately my local gym would not help me and were very rude. So I called the corporate office and I was very upset. I was greeted by Ms. Elle who was a very good listener and very polite as she promised me to resolve my issue and she even got her manager Mr.Donnie to help me out. Every thing worked out fine. These people went out of their way to help me and make sure that I was taken care of. I wish this Gym was near my house. The staff is so friendly and kind. They really value their customer and make sure that they retain them. I really do not have enough words to praise them.

They have plenty of equipment in top shape and clean. The only real negative is the hours which are short compared to other gyms in the area. Awesome gym very clean, neat environment. Good hours to come in and excellent trainers like Jimmy, Joe and Lamont. Donny is a awesome manager and Charles is excellent with Customer service. Front desk service is excellent and always professional. The machines are always in working condition. You will always get what you need out of this facility. My experience has been a great one. Need extended hours..The plans are also reasonable.
Joined this gym recently and I haven't been disappointed to date. The facilities are always clean and there is ample space to exercise without that overcrowded feeling that you get at other establishments. Joined with GM Donny who makes every effort to satisfy the customer which is definitely appreciated and refreshing. Off to a great start!
I always look forward to evenings at the LA fitness gym in Bowie. They have an amazingly friendly staff, with whom you can easily spark a conversation become friends and get help with the machines and work out. The gym itself is very good, the equipment is always in good shape and helps train me for tennis. The general manager Don, is always very kind, and very helpful. Though my only concern is that I'd wish it have longer hours, because most times whenever I come, I can only spend one good hour before they close up. We need longer evening hours on Fridays and on the weekends.Most of us work out in the evenings after work and school. If they opened longer in the evenings more people will join the gym. I love coming to LA fitness Bowie for endurance training for tennis.
My family joined the gym in January with the GM Donnie . He was extremely helpful and friendly. He made us feel we were becoming a part of a family. Well that is exactly what has happened! From Donnie to Kathy who keeps the gym squeaky clean to Alice who runs the front desk early mornings; and Wallace who has absolutely motivated my family to exercise regularly, the staff is terrific, I would highly recommend it to everyone ,,
Great gym, with great customer service! Their new management lead by GM Danny are doing a great job at providing their customer base the best experience possible. Gym is always up-kept, well-maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and approachable for concerns and advise. Looking forward for them to improve their hours.

Here is the new picture of the air vents. Looking clean and nice. They left the evidence of their work at the gym this morning, the lifter was there. Good job guys!
Very friendly, hard working staff. Always willing to go above & beyond what's necessary. Kathy the head of maintenance does a great job of keeping the place as clean as possible. Nice spacious locker rooms & showers. The gym has a nice variety of equipment to use. Excellent location.

Member Chris came in and said that he gets a positive greeting when he comes in and said this is one of the cleanest and friendliest facilities he has been to.He has multi club access and really enjoys LA Fitness says he talks about us everywhere he goes

Well maintained, clean, and plenty of machines and weights to handle large crowds. The offer aerobics and spin classes, and have pool workouts available as well. Large, well lit locker rooms, sauna and clean showers in the locker room. A great value for the money.
I'll only mention the negative because everything else is good about the place. The two biggest things that hold this gym back are: 1. No cell service (guess we're stuck buying songs and listening to them over and over).
- Recommendation: add in a cell panel or add in high bandwith wifi
2. Dumbbells are everywhere and sometimes I'm unable to even find a pair of the weights I need
-Recommendation:
A. put a policy in place that makes guests put the weights back and actually enforce this policy
B. have staff patrol the area and put the dumbbells back, more than once or twice a day
This place is nice but they have a lot of disabled or homeless people hanging around harassing customers. Please be careful these people belong in a mental institution not the gym.
Overall, okay experiences with this gym. This is apparently the only LA Fitness on the east coast that refuses to get WiFi. Sauna breaks down every now and again. Classes are mediocre.
Worst customer service experience ever! I tried to cancel my membership over the phone and was told I had to come in person. Which was OK. I get that they want to try to talk me out of it. When I arrived in person I asked who I would need to speak to. And I was directed to someone who replied. "I am on my lunch. You will need to come back in an hour". I then requested to speak to a manager and I was then directed back to the same person. I am. Ow trying to contact the corporate office to take it up with them.
