I never had a bad experience in this gym as far as customer service or the quality of the machinery, etc. Belair team, you all are troopers. That said, corporate is another matter. I believe there used to be an option to pause memberships, which was useful in the event that you were a student whose college was not near a gym location and so you only used your service during the summer. However, this has been detracted.
If you want to close your account you have to go to the gym location you made the account with and, if you choose to close the account before the 12 month period is over, you owe a $58 buyout fee. In the event that you move, you cannot close your account online or over the phone or even at another gym location. You have to do it in person at the location you signed up for, unless your 12 month membership is over and you're willing to send a certified letter stating you want to withdraw your account. This seems to me a flagrant attempt at making it as inconvenient as possible for people to leave the gym if they deem it necessary.
Additionally, considering that the cost ($10 a month) is the same as a membership at Gold's Gym, where there is significantly more equipment, higher quality free weights, and better amenities like childcare, it's no wonder that PF's corporate structure only allows it to flourish in areas which do not have better gyms.

I feel the most comfortable at this location. It's close by, and I like the set-up. Also the atmosphere is laid back, and the staff is friendly. Especially Kevin. He's always super helpful and encouraging. If you're a beginner or a casual gym-goer, and looking for health and fitness advice, or you're not sure where to start or how to do things, just look for Kevin. :)

I have been to several Planet Fitness locations and all of them seem to have their own unique flaw, however the Belair Road location is the exception. The equipment at this facility is very well maintained and abundant. I'm never waiting for a station. The management at this club has me asked convinced they're actually happy to see me. They greet me warmly and frequently tell me about sessions that are available. Kevin, for instance knows when to expect me every day. He and I are on a first name basis. This club has the airwaves down. The music and atmosphere is optimal, in my opinion, to grind out my workout. This location makes it completely worth it to be a black card member. -Joe Orbino

People give PF alot of BS i love all the 1s in baltimore never had a problem with the staff they friendly an don't bother an i always get a great workout all locations just need calf machines an some standing leg machines

If you want to tan and run this is the place to go if you like free weights stay away. It's all machines and very limited free weights

Love planet fitness ! I am a black card member so I like that I can go to any location. They have enough equipment to keep you busy for a couple of hours and you can work up a good sweat. The staff Is always friendly and encouraging as well

I dislike planet fitness probably because I'm spoiled having all/ more amenities at LA Fitness but if your looking for a basic workout sign up at planet fitness very affordable membership and accommodating hours which is better than LA Fitness in those regards

I was very pleased with my home Gym until this evening when another member had a speaker and was working out like he was home. I went and ask the Guy at the front desk to say something he did but when the Guy at the desk walked away he turned it back up like it was ok. I will be going to another location for a while. I'm respectful of other people and he was playing music with Cursing and my child was there.

I enjoy that now they have a system in place to ensure people whom pay extra each month for the black card services are the only one using these services. Overall decent gym.

Front desk employees are great ! Management is cool. The environment is totally awesome, I love it. However, female trainer is rude and ALWAYS late.

I enjoy my time when I come to Planet Fitness because the employees are friendly, helpful, always greet you when you enter the building and when you leave and it stays clean. They don't mind answering any questions you have. I love the policy of wiping down the equipment after every use because this helps keep the machines clean and cause for a less funky gym. The price of $10 a month for the basic membership is a great deal. And the $20 black card membership includes tanning, use of the massage bed, you can go to any Planet Fitness location and bring a friend. The many locations is convenient when traveling and wanting a good workout.

It's a clean gym. People are generally nice and go about their business. I haven't experienced any weird creeps or anything. All ages attend. I picked the month to month plan for $15 per month during the winter months. I have seen reviews where people were being charged after cancelling. I will update my review if I have any trouble. I think you have to notify them in writing when you are ready to cancel. Staff is nice and attentive. I wish they had more fun classes. They just have classes for each muscle group and a 30 minute circuit training. I think I would enjoy a larger gym that offered things like Zumba, for example, better.

Update: 15 December 2017: Until now my last visit was several months ago. They seem to have kept up on general cleanliness. The place is still a neat and orderly facility.
For anyone living in this area, this 24 hours gym is a superior value. Well worth the low price.
Lots of weights and cardio machines.
Was a late night visit, so very few people were in. Unsure just how crowded it gets during prime time.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities.

Great layout, and a big gym with lots of machines that are spaced farther apart than most planet fitness locations. Friendly staff, not that crowded at night, clean. One of my favorite PF locations.

Staff are not helpful when it comes to billing questions or making changes .. I think there should be a manager on site at all times or a senior staff members. The kids working the front desk dnt seem to know anything and the African guy is very rude !

Great! I really enjoy working out at this location. Friendly and safe environment. Absolutely love the massage chairs and hydro bed. Wonderful staff. And, most important- NO GYM INTIMIDATION!

I like this location. The staff is very friendly and there are enough people actually working to assist the large amount of people who arrive. I've worked out here a lot and met other wonderful people. The downside is that the staff does not stress wiping down the machines to the gym goers so you must wipe down every machine thoroughly before getting on. The staff do a great job clearing the trash but they do not wipe down the machines. When I walk in I keep one of their cleaning bottles with me. I literally wipe every machine but I don't mind it.
