Went to a Tuesday class to rejuvenate from a long and taxing week and it felt authentic as well as challenging, just what I would expect from a yoga class.

What an oasis of a studio! Sunlight and Yoga is a small, community space in the beautiful and rapidly gentrifying Woodberry neighborhood. Changa, the guy who runs the place, is kind and super helpful. It's an incredibly welcoming place for all levels - from experienced to the total novice. No egos, no judgment - none of this franchise money-hungry yoga BS. Changa is continuously learning and expanding his own yoga knowledge and I felt totally comfortable and safe in the Restorative class that I attended. Prices are good, definitely worth a try!

I LOVE this studio. It's small and welcoming, and truly a bright spot in the neighborhood. I returned to my yoga practice about six months ago, after a year or so being off the mat. I've taken nearly every class offered at Sunlight & Yoga and they are all wonderful. Each teacher is kind and helpful, as are the students. There is no judgement, only peace and gratitude. I leave every class thankful that I have this local community resource. Do yourself a favor and come take a class; you won't regret it.
