Literally the best gym in the city. No clue why it had such bad reviews.
The good news is the older Grateful Dead gentleman that worked at Taylorsville Road location is now spending a lot of time here painting, re-working the lights, and thank god he just rebuilt the ladies sauna benches that had nails sticking out. I was just going to have a fit if I tore another Lululemon legging !
This is a great place to work out. It's clean and not too crowded. Staff is courteous. The biggest beef I have with them is sometimes they have Fox News playing on the TV in the men's locker room. Big turn off!
Helpful, clean, modern equipment. Love the movie room and separate area for women.
Facilities are okay. Cleanliness is not maintained. The cleaner dispensers are not refilled often causing a lot of them to be empty.
This location looks like LA FITNESS 2020. I loved it.
Fitness equipment in perfect shape and almost looked new. Not sure when this location opened but still looks modern and new.
Easy plaza parking. Plenty, read again, plenty cardio equipment. And then some additional cardio equipment in the movie area. Yup, you read that right. Seems one or two movies are shown here while you burn your calories. A first for me on any LA FITNESS in USA.
Great pool, clean locker room, restrooms, steam and sauna rooms. Great living room with TV in there too.
Plenty of TVs throughout gym plus elevated walking jogging area in case you want a warm up not with cardio equipment. Great spinning room, basketball court and yoga studio with other classes.
Wishing some other cities with dated LA FITNESS pay attention to this one and update soon.
Staff is always courteous and helpful. The gym is kept clean.
This club is climbing the star ladder. They do this by upgrading the equipment and keeping it repaired. Keeping the restrooms clean and offering classes to fit about anybody who wants to exercise in any manner. One complaint though at the location I go to is the poor condition of the basketballs. I saw basketballs played on dirt playgrounds in better condition in the Philippines. In fairness, this is not normally the case and I am sure it will be rectified quickly. By the way, the prices for membership are reasonable for what you are offered. Aerobics room, basketball court, swimming, Etc. It is difficult to complain. Check it out.

Facility is good. Bad management! Moved out of state and wanted to cancel membership. Employees said that they don't cancel over the phone and that it's company policy. However, someone sensible works at facility in Austin and was able to help with cancellation over the phone. DOUBLE STANDARDS!

Equipment is okay for a gym of this size. Weights are scattered all of the place do to lack of organization and good house keeping .This locarion has failed to open twice since I've been a member.
Steam room never works right. That's the only bad part other then that I like working out here.....

Very nice and cool gym in Louisville.... Definetly one of the best ones in the area.
They have a swimming pool, and a Zumba class. Can't wait to try these. Also, have an area strictly for women to work out. Love that!!!
Great gym! Love the location and abundance of equipment. Steam room, sauna and pool are nice extras.
I love this place. It has everything you could need in a gym. Basketball, swimming, sauna and steam room, free weights, machines, and plenty of cardio options. The staff is always extremely friendly and they even helped me get my membership straightened out with no issues. They're very knowledgeable and have great personal training staff as well.
Difficult to cancel, otherwise I would have rated higher. Only reason I picked this place was it seems to be the only place with a pool, workout equipment and sauna. Sauna only goes up to 115F which is barely hot enough to even sweat. Too crowded during the few times I went. One time free trainer was nowhere to be found, assuming whoever it was didn't show up that day. Equipment handles dry rotted foamy material.

Cons:
- 3-point lines inconsistent.
- Floor is ALWAYS excessively dusty.
- Basketballs in curiously poor condition.
- Regulars show up after work and hog it. Adults, just let them have it.
- They basically play Katie Parry and Miley Cyrus 24/7. I... I don't understand what we're supposed to be doing at this venue. (Even headphones do not cancel it out. I understand punishing your body, but my ears?)
- Hot babes flagrantly keep interrupting my work out to flirt with me and give me their phone numbers. Easy, ladies. It's a gym, not a hotline.
Looks extremely nice at first, the bathrooms were in terrible condition though but wide range of weights and enough that you didn't have to wait
Pretty large LA Fitness. Has a running track, basketball court, pool etc. (your typical LA fitness amenities)... The major downfall of this LA fitness (and I have been to many) is the very limited amount of plates available for barbell lifting, especially during peak hours. There are tons of machines, and just simply not enough plates to satisfy all the heavy lifting that goes on! But I am a fan of LA fitness, and I still recommend this gym!

At the gym for an evening workout. It was earlier than usual so I saw all of the trainers out with their clients. The female trainer that was with a male and then a female client was very attentive and showed proper form and was inspirational to her clients. The male trainer was training a woman who was very overweight. You would think that this client would best be served. Y the same if not more attention and inspiration from her trainer that she is paying at least $150/month. Instead, the trainer couldn't be more disinterested. In the 8 or 9 times that I saw his interactions with her, he was looking out over the club and more interested in others. He was on his phone at times while she was working hard at her exercises. This display was pathetic. If people are asking and paying for your help to get fit, you need to be their sole attention. Would choose the female trainer any day over the male trainer. Pretty damn sad.
Good atmosphere, pool and workout area. Generally kept pretty clean and maintained, but the crowd ranges from veteran gym goers to high school students
Great facility for average person's workout. Love their cinema. 4 stars for saunas - not always warm enough in male section. My wife complained almost every day about female sauna's low temperature. Not much was done to sort the problem though.
Nice gym, if you don't have gold gym in your town, this will do it just fine.
I have been a member here for 5plus year's. I would recommend this gym to my friends are anyone else. It is generally clean.
