The biggest concern I hear from non-CrossFitters (is that even a word?) is that CrossFit causes injuries. To be realistic, once you get up off the couch and get active, the odds of injury increases regardless of the activity or sport, right? Think about it. Runners, skiers, soccer players, hockey players, etc....get injured. With that said, can you get injured doing CrossFit? I'm certain the answer is 'yes'. However, I've been doing CrossFit consistently (4-5 days a week) for 16 months injury free and I have no doubt it's because I joined a reputable 'box'. CrossFit Louisville's owner and coach, Ben Carter, is very serious and passionate about CrossFit, lifting and safety. He and his coaches are highly trained, very technical and hands on. If there's an issue with your form or safety, it's addressed immediately (I'm still a work in progress). Once you learn proper form and movement, then you start focusing on strength and speed. Regardless of your current fitness level, if you're serious about your health and getting in great shape, then CrossFit Louisville is for you. PS. Leave your ego at the door.
