Love the atmosphere. And I know it says judgement free zone but there are those certain people that you know are silently judging you. I'm just trying to get in better shape. Don't ruin my motivation because you're already the weight it size you wanna be. It's a little harder for some of us. But the girl that helped me get my key card yesterday was fabulous.

Great facility at a great price! Only complaint so far is that it would have been nice to be shown around a little bit more when I signed up. No real orientation although most things are pretty self-explanatory. Only been there a couple of weeks but the place is super clean and staff is friendly.

Love this place! Satff is always super friendly and helpful. They have any type of equipment you need and then some. No rowing machine but I don't think that's a very standard piece of equipment. Their hydro massage chairs are amazing. It is usually not extremely crowded and I rarely have to wait for a piece of equipment.

Well kept and the staff are always wonderful! This is the best deal in town, and I have had memberships at several gyms. Wide variety of equipment and areas to train in, free guest pass with every visit, plus the rewards of the Black Card Spa include massage chairs, Total Body Enhancement, and high-intensity tanning beds unlike what you find at Anytime Fitness or a typical gym-tanning package. I always recommend Planet Fitness!

Planet fitness has several different types of work out machines and several of the most widely used to eliminate the wait time. Also provides a circuit work out for those of us who are not sure exactly what to do. The facility also had tanning and massage chairs available with the right membership level

(completely revised review..) Recently, I originally had the worst review written here about the Cedar Rapids, Iowa location.. At this time, words cannot describe how disgusted I am with myself.. I've since spoken again with the employee in question, about the terrible misunderstanding, and visited the location while he was working, made peace, signed myself and also my friend up, and have already been having the most pleasurable experience I always remembered about being a Planet Fitness member.. I don't want to mention him by name, but he's a full time employee there, a great guy, and I look fwd to staying a member of the gym. Thank you to the manager who wrote back in my response to that previous horrible review I gave.. but this employee is a top notch person, who I simply misunderstood, and for that I apologize.. I'll be a loyal customer for years to come, as I was completely mistaken about him, the fees and charges, the billing cycle, etc... Thank you to Planet Fitness for working this out for me..

A very friendly and professional staff in a clean and up to date environment. Shelby, the manager, is very positive and upbeat. I have enrolled in classes taught by Marissa, the trainer, and have made phenomenal progress in a relatively short time. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and beyond that, exhibits true engagement with her students and their goals and progress. A winning combination with facilities and personnel not found in many gyms.

I couldn't wait to join up at the local PF when I moved back here 2 weeks ago to open my business around the corner from the Edgewood location in Cedar Rapids, IA. I called and spoke to this kid who misinformed me completely, and then when I got there, tried to totally overcharge me for the signup, and the yearly fee, which IS NOT even due til after July 1st! It's May 21.. This idiot tried to double talk me and talk circles around me, and the poor jerk had to take time away from the 2 girls standing near the front desk, who he was trying to hit on at the time.. A total LOSER, who misrepresented the place, was EXTREMELY rude to me, and DEFINITELY gave such a horrible name for the place, I WILL HAPPILY GO ELSEWHERE and pay MORE MONEY. Or actually, probably MUCH LESS than the whopping $92.43 that JERK tried to charge me for a $10/month membership! I will NEVER go back to PF! Not until he's FIRED...
PS: I had issues even before I went there with the idiotic way he answered the phone twice, and mumbled and talked so quickly and under his breath and could hardly understand him and had to keep asking him what? what? The kid is a jerk, and completely ruined my excitement about my signing me and my 2 friends up... Your organization lost money tonight...

There was not many people in there so I was able to use every machine I wanted. Staff was friendly, for the most part they were cleaning the facility. Location was great. Other than the fact that when you walk out there is nothing but fast food around. I wish there was a whole foods and healthy food options around but that has nothing to do with planet fitness... im just saying

Always a clean, quiet, and positive environment. They have great machines and equipment. I LOVE THE SPA. I went from never going to the gym to going 6 out of 7 days of the week. You'll love it!

I just started going here and it is very clean, nice equipment, friendly staff, and plenty of room to do whatever it is your workout dictates. It took me a while to pull the trigger on the signup because they require your banking information to directly take the monthly payments out of your account, but I finally caved and so far, I am happy I did.

The facilities at the Edgewood Rd location are clean, the staff is approachable and answers my (many) questions without judgment, and they have a good selection of machines to work with. The price of a full membership is very reasonable, and the access to the spa services and the ability to bring guests along with me make it a worthwhile investment. The other regulars I see are friendly and I feel comfortable every time I go there.

We have had more help here in 3 weeks than we got in 3 years at the other place!!! Very friendly staff who go out of their way to be of assistance. Clean, tons of equipment, classes, individual instruction. Love it here!!!!

Absolutely love this gym! Staff is always friendly and helpful. The machines are so easy to use even if you have never seen them they have easy to read diagrams demonstrating how to use them! I also love what a deal the membership is! It is by far the cheapest price for all of the benefits included!

Love this place but a little put off by a no thin strap clothing rule while you can run around in a sports bra... confused a bit by that.
Employees are super helpful and super sweet though!

No pressure indeed. Helpful staff, amazing hydro - massage chairs (included in membership), tons of equipment that is easy to use, rows of TV options, 30 minute circuit section that takes the guess work out of your workout. Several tanning beds and 2 regular massage chairs, locker rooms are clean. Shower is separated from a changing stall, would be nice if they were just individual room where you can do it all like others I've been too. But again that's the worst thing I can say about the place, and maybe a need for more parking. Very busy from 5-7 pm avoid that time if possible. Great for the money.

Loved it the VERY FEW times I used them. I kept getting texts saying my account was going to cancel or they couldn't get the payment...whole time I thought I didn't have an account and they were taking my money (2 months of thinking my account was cancelled) . When I noticed I called and they instantly found the problem (they were holding the money but for some reason it would charge back to my account then it would pull and actually charge me 3 days later) I asked if they would refund me my money because i was only NOT going because they kept sending texts saying my card wouldn't work and the guy told me that the manager would most likely not refund my money. I never received a call back from said manager. I made this call in MAY.

Wonderful place, wonderful staff, very courteous and pleasant. We had a blast. I went to other places like monkey Joe's in Des moines with a young child but they have much more selection of arcade and fun games in addition to the arcade. Keep up the good service.

I feel very comfortable there. The majority of the staff is very friendly. I have been to other gyms and never felt as comfortable as I do at planet fitness! So many machines. Love the tanning and massage chairs! I would recommend to Anyone!
