Reopened after shutdown and the place is kept real clean. Every user is given a spray bottle of disinfectant to carry around and use prior and after using the equipment. Social distancing is enforced by equipment be taped off from use. Locker room and showers are constantly being disinfected.

So. I have had the membership for over a year and today the desk would not allow a guest to use the massage chair. This is not want we were told when joining or for the past months.
Seriously it states it on the website the black card has unlimited guest privileges. But the contract fine print states no tanning or other black card amenities for guest. So some false advertising here! canceling this membership.
VASA has a pool and nicer facilities.

The gym used to have a very personable staff that remembered you when you came in but at the beginning of 2020 they did a staff overhaul. So now it is all new employees who don't know what they are doing. Recently had to wait over 30 minutes to tan because they some how skipped over my reservation even though i was sitting in front of them. I had to ask after 30 minutes and the bed was available! Then i waited to see if they clean the beds in between people and they don't! Who knows what else they don't clean? Never tanning here again.

Planet Fitness needs a deadlift platform and real squat racks to be considered a gym. But I like that there is hardly ever anyone there.

They do not offer day passes!!! So how do you know if you really like the location. Now they do offer a $20 pass which is extremely high compared to other planet fitness locations. I guess I will never join this gym, because i refuse to sign up for something I cant test drive... That is a red flag for low funds, which means dirty, and equipment want be kept up as well...

Truck parking no problem...Open sun tanning level 5 tanning as well as all other level!, pc sign in, beautiful well lit large locker rooms, and fully equipped! Next to Plato's closet and other shopping...immaculately clean and friendly staff ..great job Lafayette pf!

I normally like planet fitness locations, but this one did a weird thing where if this wasn't your "home" gym location you had to get permission from the front desk to use any of the cardio machines. It was very frustrating.

I love the atmosphere of the place. No judgement from anyone. Everyone is there to better themselves and understands. Great amenities and selection of equipment. Black card program is worth it to bring a friend for free as a support system. Price is worth it.

I have been to many other Planet Fitness locations and this is a location that simply lacks integrity when it comes to dress codes and equipment use. No critics? Who needs them when a person only needs to look around at what is advertised as being 'look at me.' Did we unplug the Lunk Alarm? Is it commonplace to allow members to stand on the benches and seats of the equipment? Limited options in Lafayette does not warrant relaxing the Planet Fitness standards many of us once enjoyed as the norm. Hey Planet Fitness of Lafayette, we could use your help.

This is a great location, but it is just so busy! I really feel like they need to open a location in West Lafayette to convenience the Purdue students plus decrease how busy this location is for people who don't want to feel like they have to rush just to get a station..

This isn't the typical planet fitness. I've never heard the lunk alarm go off, but I did witness a guy get acosted by a new employee about his gallon water jug. Seems to be somewhat ok to be a lunk here, just don't use your gallon water jug. Weights don't go above 70 and the only bench press is a Smith machine. Not a weight bar in sight either. As far as gyms go, it's cheap, but lacking. As far as planet fitness go, it's a little lax on their selective "judgment free zone"

They bring in pizza which makes zero sense, why not something healthier like Jimmy johns? They 'don't cater to power lifters' so there's no benches or barbells or squat racks . Only Smith machines with no indication of empty bar weight. But it's affordable so can't knock em for that

I go here semi regularly. I would rather use the YMCA but the 24 hour availability is perfect here. There are busy times especially since this place is small. It is not the same level of busy where I have actually needed to wait for anything except the bathroom. The hours I usually go there is max 4 people in here. I don't use their classes or trainers, so I am sorry if that what you want a review on. The one thing I can say is that all shapes and sizes of people come here and I see happy customers when they are getting their workouts in.

I see the men are having fecal problems. We ladies should speak up. About 4 months ago I saw a bloody tampon floating in the toilet. Told the gentleman at front and he said no women were on staff in order to fish it out. It seems to me what ever gender is working is when the toilet will be "checked" on.

Lots of equipment and friendly staff. I've tried many gyms but this is the one that I've stuck with. Truely feels like a "no judgement zone." Good for all adult ages and fitness ranges.

Went very late at night. Hardly anyone else there. It has been a while since Ive had a membership with them due to health. But the lady behind the counter was helpful and patient. They do have new equipment to where if you have the black card, you can watch netflix or other programs.

I've been going here for three years now. Overall the facility is nice. Staff is super-friendly. Machines are almost always in great working conditions. The establishment is super-clean. The low score here today is for shower temp. The shower temperature goes from bad to really bad. It takes a long time to hit max temp (which isn't high at all), and then the water temp goes way down to maybe just warm. I've addressed this problem with staff for quite some time. The problem for them seems to be an absolute mystery. The usual response is that somebody forgot to turn off some water in the janitor closet. However, when the water is turned off in there, the water is still cold. There seems to be nobody who can figure out why the water temperature is so poor. I suspect the facility is stuck with a lousy plumbing job (water pressure is also an issue--shower dies when a toilet flushes) and they have no warranty or nobody wishes to contact the plumbing contractor. I've used other PF's in other parts of the country and the water temps there have been fine, i.e. you can get a hot shower. Overall a great place, but if you like a hot shower after your workout, this isn't the place for you.

They good starter gym, but I have had multiple family and friends point out their payment system is off, and kept trying to take money when it wasn't due yet. And the app they have available doesn't update as often as it needs too. However the equipment in there is designed so a single person can go in without a spotter, good idea in theory but I am more partial to the older gyms with more equipment than treadmills, bikes and ellipticals.

it's a pretty nice planet fitness!! only complaint is their is no private dressing rooms.... their should be at least a couple for after u shower...

This gym is due for a update. I visit 10 different locations a month and this one is by far the most out dated. Over half the equipment has a out of order sign on it. Even the front door had a out of order sign at one time. It's not the most clean gym I've been too but it's also not the worst. Staff is nice. Showers have little to no hot water. If your in the area and are looking for a gym membership I suggest you shop around and test the equipment first.
