When I brought my mom to Dr. Cline neither of us knew what to expect and weren't sure about the whole idea of acupuncture. My mom is 80 years old and has been healthy all of her life. For the past couple years she has had bouts of back spasms that we treated with traditional medicine. From May 2019 her spasms had gotten increasingly worse, going from having them for an hour or two now and again to having them constantly every few minutes, 24 hours a day by the end of September. She wasn't sleeping, eating or able to do anything. She had seen her G.P., a spinal specialist, a pain management specialist, a rheumatologist, and was scheduled to see a neurologist (in case it was "all in her head"). She had had x-rays, a CAT scan, an MRI and a series of cortisone shots near her spine to ease the pain. By the end of October she was taking several medications, including oxycodin, valium, and morphine, none of which stopped the pain, but only blunted it for a while. There were several ER visits when the pain became unbearable, until the last one at the end of October when the ER doctor told her "there's nothing else we can do for you. You're just going to have to go home and learn to live with it." I was honestly concerned that "living with it" would kill her. As I said, we weren't convinced that acupuncture would work, but she was willing to try. She had her first treatment at the beginning of November, involving acupuncture, adjustments, and some at home exercises recommended by Dr. Cline and Dr. Karns and by mid-December she was back to normal, and as of this writing hasn't had a back spasm in over three months. I am so impressed with Dr. Cline's treatments and caring manner that when I began to have symptoms of a sinus infection in January, I scheduled an appointment immediately. Four treatments and adjustments later and I was completely clear of all sinus symptoms. I highly recommend Dr. Cline and acupuncture to anyone having problems with pain. My mom is currently on a monthly maintenance schedule with Dr. Cline and I know that if she has another spasm he will see her as soon as we can get to the office. I'm beyond thankful that we found him!
