Loving the "new" joint! Gary was super helpful. Sooooo many machines, so many weights! And all of the other stuff is AMAZING! Anyone going anywhere else is just WRONG!
Been here 6 months. Pros: good svc staff, great selection of equipment, and well kept pool. Cons: stinks! Showers need some major TLC and overall decor is not appealing. Also, equipment is down for way too long a time. The mgmt is receptive to customer complaints but ownership is slow to act. Not sure i can keep this place at three stars for long.
Amazing gym. Love this place. Fun and laid back place to work out. Ask for Justin, he's very helpful and made it easy for me to get started with the right membership.
Great place. Love the racquetball courts and all the options here. Justin was also super helpful in getting us signed up. Plain language no pressure.
I love my gym. Don't come here though. You'll crowd me. My gym is my sanctuary. You meditate by a brooke. I do it on the Smith machine.
Dont expect any help from the staff with a count issues. When we first setup our membership we enrolled our daughter in the kids club, they said it would be automatic pay. I swiped my card and set up the account which to pull money from. 3-4 months go buy and they never pulled money from our account. They never informed us they did not receive a payment or that it was declined, we show up and refuse to watch put child unless we make the payment. We paid the account, and the next time we showed up 2 days later they reject her cause we have not made our payment in 3 months. We show where we made the payment and the make a not on put account and said that a lady should be calling us the following day to fix the account. We never get a call so we call and she is not in. We go back on a friday and are told we cannot have our child there due to 3-4 months of non-payment. We show then once again and they say they will make a not on the account. This goes on for weeks. We find out the name of the lady we need to talk to and we are told she works mon-fri 8-6. Everyday we call and ask for her and they tell us there is no one there by that name, we show up at 5:45 on thursday and ask for her. We are told she only works mon-fri 8-6. When we tell them the time they quickly say oh well she left early. Who ever us watching the door never greets people, or cares to help. They would rather stare at their phone all day than actually work.
Best gym I have been a member of, always clean, lots of equipment. The scenery is not bad either.

Too many guys on the basketball court without memberships hogging up said basketball court. Management is way way too concerned with new memberships to do anything about the cleanliness. The basketball court has dust bunnies that are big as my f****** head. There is so much lack of etiquette going on in the weight area it is unreal. At some point they will have a confrontation and somebody will get their skull cracked open by some f****** plate. Again management is so f****** concerned with membership that they are f****** blinded.

Really dirty. The the locker rooms, why would you put carpet in there. The stench is discusting

I like it, love the refreshment shop inside Shake the World. Has its usual gym problems like a machine needing repair every blue moon. Staff and even other gym members are respectful and a pleasure to be around.

Pretty large and open with few people. Very clean also with a good amount of equipment.
Machines are reasonably up-to-date and maintained. Gets a little crowded for my tastes in the early morning, which is when I go

Four stars because they have a successful smoothie bar but honestly they need to clean/update the locker rooms (carpet smells) & sauna needs a regular cleaning schedule.
Pretty good gym. Some broken equipment, but nice pool and sauna. Beware of sales of trainers, very expensive.
Kinda overcrowded and fairly expensive. A guest pass for one day was $15. Their membership manager will try to dip you off to meet his monthly quota so b cautious.
If you like super super crowded and unable to actually get in a stress free workout, then this place is for you. Yikes Otherwise a nice gym
LA Fitness has a good variety of equipment and workout options. It is a big, busy place, but rarely so busy you cannot find equipment to use. It can be frustrating because many of the clients spend more time staring down at they're phones than actually using the equipment they are occupying. Also, I never see anyone wipe down the equipment after use. The facility is generally quit nasty from a hygienic perspective. I would only blame the staff because they do not enforce good behaviors. I am no longer surprised by the disgusting habits of the general public, so no surprise most people are not appalled by this filth. PS - if you decide to use the locker room or shower, be sure to bring flipflops. I saw a guy wiping toe jam out in the locker room and almost lost my breakfast. Then had to listen to some old piece of **** snot out his sinuses in the shower area. Do these people think we can't see or hear them?
The smell of this gym is beyond repulsive. It's so bad it literally puts you in a bad mood as soon as you walk in. I tolerate it because I am waiting to move and the LA out there is SOOOO much better, but in the meantime it has me contemplating where all this membership money goes to? Locker rooms are terrible. Only positive about this gym is the smoothie bar and the girls are so sweet who make your shakes. Other than that, it's packed with creepy dudes and stinks.

Have been going to this gym for >7 years. This seems to be one of the busier locations so it can be difficult to get a swim lane during peak hours. Equipment seems to be in good working order, its in a safe location and hours of operation are good. The men's locker room can get funky - really wish they would scrap the carpeting as that is the primary culprit. Men's restrooms have poor ventilation so you may have to hold your breath while you go.
Dealbreaker: someone's pubic hair got stuck to my sweaty leg when stretching on their mats. NO ONE wipes down the equipment! Period blood was all over the women's toilets. Smells ALL the time! Not just BO, but unsanitary smell. The equipment is rusty. The treadmills make horrible sounds when you run, make you sound super heavy!

I hate going to this gym, I hate the people here, and I hate the fact that I am stuck with this stupid contract that is a complete waste of my money.
I was under the impression when I signed up for this, that it was just something I could cancel at anytime. They neglected to say this was a contract. Who even does contracts anymore. When I cancel my appointments they disappear like I have used them. I have appointments I know I have canceled and they never came back. I was late for one appointment and this guy cancels a appointment I was set up for. They say they are flexible and when I have a duty to life they are like you should be on time. First of all, this is not a not job, I am not going to school and I do not have to cater to you when I am paying the gym 200 dollars every month for personal training. Today I got up at 4 am and went into the gym at 530 for my 535 appointment I know I scheduled. It mysteriously has disappeared, so being angry and knowing what they did. I cancel my next appointment. I did not get my reservation back, it is just gone. I had a total of 9 reservations this month. It says I have used 7 according to the guy up front. Which I know I have not. When I have canceled my reservation they have been docking me. I payed money, you don't get to dock me. Get me out of this pathetic contract, there should be something as such as quality. If they do not get me out of this contract, I will sue. Finally canceled this place. These people will only educate you on work out routines. They will say they will go over nutrition but they are not qualified for it. Some trainers will tell you things that are false. It is 80% eating and 20% workout. If you are here to learn workout routines that is fine if you want to pay that cash. Keep in mind not many people will work early in the morning when they open if that is what you want to do. They will say so but change their mind. Trainers have their regular's and will put them first before you because they make money off each session.
