AF downtown Indianapolis. I have had 4 workouts at this gym recently. I believe I will have several more before I leave Indy for home. The entrance is on the second floor of their building. During working hours, M-F, you can get up there with no problem. After hours and on the weekends you need a special card to work the elevator and sometimes the external door to the lobby. Call and ask them, and they don't seem to have a problem giving AF-member-visitors a card. I think this gym is probably the smallest in total square feet, but they have most everything that is absolutely needed. The front room is the cardio equipment. Then the next is machines, and then down a hall to the free weights. Typical 1 squat rack, Smith machine, and leg press. BUT, there are TWO free olympic bars, so you can do deadlifts while someone else is doing squats, etc. Standard dumbbells up to 100lbs. There are some minor machines missing, but it is a floor space problem. The machines are Life Fitness which I personally am not fond of the weight stacks in the machines. No TRX system. The typical busy time at most other gyms is not very crowded at this one, because people are getting out of the city to get home. There is a restaurant right below the gym, and I noticed a bit of a smoky haze in there when the kitchen gets busy. Overall, this is a good gym if you work downtown, or are staying at one of the many hotels for work or one of the many conventions that take place in Indy.
