I attend 2-3 5am sessions a week here, 4-5 evening sessions a month (Any other night i am at my home Y in Greenwood)
Facility is nice as it should be. Obviously not designed to be a PowerHouse Gym. Has a great isolated area for what appears to be utilized for HIIT type workouts. Bunch of Cardio and lack free
weights. Like everyone else said, good luck finding parking after 6am and be prepared to have to work in with some.
Major cons:
1. BE READY IN THE MORNING. Supposed to open at 5am. Typically it a few minutes after 5 before the doors are unlocked. Then everyone has to stand and wait for the check-in computer to load up. Few times its been after 5:15 before we could get upstairs. This really sucks for the other people like myself that only have 45 min to get a lift session in before having to shower for work.
2. LOOSE THE TV OVER THE FREE WEIGHTS. Its packed enough, dont need people lounging around getting distracted and taking too long of breaks between sets.
3. Clean the 3 month old blood drops off the bench in the men's locker room. Ive dropped comment cards on this and been waiting to see. I wouldnt sit down without a towel under me. As clean as the place looks, makes you wonder how a couple blood drops the size of quarters can remain out in the open like it has.
Another layout for the crossover pulley system would be beneficial. Coming from the Baxter Y that is laid out so you could have a possibility of 8 isolated cables, 4 wide grip or 4 narrow grip to a layout that only offers 5 isolated cables, 1 wide grip combo or 1 narrow grip combo...
