The Planet Fitness in Schererville is a nice place to visit the music is good, not so loud as in Hammond. You can actually have conversations. Not a lot of attitudes I feel comfortable going there

It was my second day at this gym. It has been over 10 years since I used a gym. I found the people helpful, authentic and friendly. The trainer I worked in group with today is outstanding. Tim truly projects experience and patience. They say when you're ready the teacher will appear. I am so appreciative for Tim's dedication and caring spirit. Planet Fitness has a true diamond here. Thank you. My reentry into fitness is softened by a good establishment and one of they're shining stars, Tim.

Im a member of this place, I'm here to write a complaint against a male trainer name CARLOS.

Today 09 05 2018 around 11:30pm this man was working next to the cable doing some back work out and every time made lot noise dropping the weights, is all on video,

Then he started lifting dumbbells he drop them hard on the floor, I ask the older black male worker if he noticed the noise he said he did, so I ask why neither him or the other employees say o sound the alarm, he said nothing.

Another time this employe/ trainer CARLOS was working out wearing this little shirts that are not allow, and the employees are his friends did not said anything again also dropping the weights.

Another time this employee/ trainer name CARLOS was doing some leg work he sit one of of the girl he was training on top of the machine then he was pushing up and down with the girl on top.

Then another time this employee/trainer CARLOS was working on the cables I was walking towards the cable machine about 5 ft far from him behind him he disconnected the metal accessory and trow it on the floor it almost got my toes, he did not seem to care.

Now a does not take much to read my review but how about u check u cameras on this date 09 05 2018 11 30 pm and see for u self the type of employees u have one employee/ trainer name CARLOS acting like he owns the gym and the other 2 just not enforcing the rules because he is an employee.

But we the customer's have to follow the rules how about enforcing to u own employees when they are training and when the are off work working out.

This man name CARLOS to me instead of being asset it's more like a liability.

Apply rules and sound this alarm please.

You need to get the property owner to change the rules on truck parking. I understand that trailers arent wanted but customers that come in just the truck should be no problem. Will add this review to others here also. You have power to arrange change.
This area isnt high density enough for us to get in the way

Always packed and Planet Fitness needs to expand this location or they need to add more gyms off of I-80, since this is the easiest location to get to off of the highway on commutes.

Love them trying to get back in shape and it's going to take a long long time. Therefore I start on the treadmill. And what I've noticed there are people absolutely all sizes shapes excetera. And nobody is staring at looking at making you feel insecure as everybody's there for the same reason it might only be literally a couple of skinny Minis. Plus they are open 24 hours a day 5 days a week technically. They open midnight Monday morning I just really like Sunday night and they close Friday evening at 9 p.m. Then they reopen at 7 a.m. on Saturday and they close at 7 p.m. Then they reopen at 7 a.m. on Sunday and closes at 7 p.m. They also have some amazing extra features that I've never ever encountered at other workout facilities one that can help with acne there are the massage areas. Actually that's for the black card membership. So you can also get a free walkthrough tour to hear about these things first hand and see exactly what I'm talking about for yourself before purchasing.

Planet fitness hits the spot. I love the fact that they brought in the hydro lounger. That lounger massages your butt and back in all the right places especially after you have been on the tread mill or stair climber bouncing the butt around. When you are done with your tough work outs you just have to stop for some TLC from any of the massage machines. You must pamper yourself after the beating!!!

Planet fitness hits the spot. I love the fact that they brought in the hydro lounger. That lounger massages your butt and back in all the right places especially after you have been on the tread mill or stair climber bouncing the butt around. The place had all of their water fountains shut down and would not offer water to the members without making them pay. No signs, nothing to alert us beforehand. The locker room consistently smells like marijuana and overall, I would just recommend driving the extra distance to go to the next closest one.

As a truck driver its hard to stay in fit and when i found a place to work out they put a boot in my truck. I was not even there for 20min. When i was receiving a call from my dispacher. This guy charge 500 to remove the boot or he call the tow truck. This place does not help truck drivers. If you see this rats please punch them in the head really hard

I've always bragged about most planet fitness gyms being trucker friendly and they're usually in big plaza type parking lots! Well this planet fitness is working with the guy that will put a boot on your truck and charge you $500 dollars so if you're a trucker that likes to stay fit don't do it at this planet fitness, I just might cancel my membership behind this one and keep my L.A fitness I've never had a problem with truck parking there. This country rides hard on truckers but at the same time if trucks stop the country stops!!!

I have been a member for several years now and am seriously on the verge of cancelling my membership.
I joined because of the 30 minute workout room...I love the concept and knowledge that I can be done in 30 minutes; however, over the past 6-9 months the room has become more of a hangout place for people to sit on machines and talk on their phones, or sit on the same machine for 4 cycles of the stoplight, or just come in with friends and sit on the machines and talk. Not only is this rude and inconsiderate, it creates anxiety and anger for those trying to complete the circuit as it should be-green means go-red means stop-then switch. Never have I seen PF employees round in the room and address this. When brought up to the front desk staff management I was told they will address the problem but obviously not as this is an ongoing issue that is not getting better. I literally was in the room today from about 8:45 am to 9:15am and a girl sat on the same machine the entire time having a very loud and animated conversation on her phone-when others approached her she would not get off the machine.
All I ask is that somebody consistently round into this room and ensure that people are obeying the rules. I pay good money for my membership and would like to enjoy it-I will cancel if I have to though if this problem is not fixed.

I wouldn't waste my money at this place. They have people that like to go there and steal peoples keys off the key rack and they take no responsibility for it. Their cameras are cheap so they can't zoom in to see who took them. The manager is useless and pretty much told me they couldn't do anything about it and wasn't very helpful at all. Needless to say I canceled my membership after almost 3 years. They also have a lot of cars getting broken into in the parking lot. Its not worth the money you save going to a cheap gym I'm out about 500 bucks now.

Been coming here last 2yrs, like that additional equipment has been added, but just one more request of equipment, prone leg curl machine. There is one in the 30 min room, but cannot use because of rules for the room. Yes there are the seated leg curl, but the prone has much better resistance and control.

Recently started a membership, my issue isn't with the gym, staff, or equipment but with the gym being far too crowded. Why sign so many people up (smh)? Sometimes I'll drive up there see the crowd and leave instead.

The staff at this gym is horrible. A few times when I was checking in, I heard the staff making disparaging remarks about customers. The staff is not nearly as friendly as the Tinley Park location. There is one black woman who is always nice, but everyone else seems to be lacking in customer service expertise.

I typically see spider webs in certain areas of the gym, and the mens locker room is never clean.

Love it clean place , I forgot some things on more than one occasion their and both times it was at front desk . I think that's amazing and honest people working their . Staff is always polite , trainers care and affordable .

This review is specifically towards this planet fitness, not all of them by any means. My home gym is in Des Plaines and I love it. Staff is amazing to me and know my routine when it comes to the black card spa tbh. This location, however, has a hydro bed that mine doesn't so I only come here every other week. Firstly, nobody really cares if you check in. You could basically use the gym AND SPA for free. You don't even need to provide your card/card number to prove you're a black card member. This kinda defeats the purpose for paying more. Also as I mentioned earlier, I come to this one every other Saturday for my hydro. I did it before and after my workout since it's my see boobs workout ood the day by the time I arrive. When I for my second n massage, the chick working here started LAUGHING asset me for getting another massage. This location also feels really cramped with the amount of machines in such a small space. I personally feel like this place needs all new staff who have to card people that walk in as well as people going to the spa. I mean, my home gym does. My advice, don't go here unless you don't care about the STAFF judging you. Only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of cleanliness. That's it.

If you have any level of fitness experience and need an affordable gym this is perfect. I don't care if the stuff smiles or not or that not everyone wipes the equipment, if you didn't leave a pool of sweat behind you there's no need to waste paper. They could do a bit better job with wiping down the smith machine and other cable machines that seem stuck. I wish planet fitness had a few plain bench presses but safety I guess.

Love it here. Definitely is a judgment free zone. Equipment is easy to use and staff is friendly. Clean place too.
