Wonderful

I went to my first flow with Lauren this week. Her love of yoga radiated out into the rest of the class. I left feeling like I was floating on clouds.

Best yoga in Bloomington. I checked out all the options locally when I was getting started and quickly settled on Yoga Mala for their excellent teachers--they're the best in town (and a couple are still among the best I've had the good fortune to study with anywhere). This isn't a modern studio. If you're looking for an app, lots of class choices and would prefer not to chant at the beginning of glass, this may not be the right choice for you, but it's worth venturing out of your comfort zone to check out a class with Kelley (Iyengar), Heather E. (Ashtanga & Alignment), or Heather N. (Ashtanga).

Friendly instructors, reasonable price, generally a good experience

There are plenty of yoga options in Bloomington. I did a lot of research before choosing one; I landed on Yoga Mala and never looked back! Their rates are better than the competition, especial their new student rate. They have a variety of classes that work with my schedule. Everything from standard yoga classes to Tai Chi (Qigong). The instructors are knowledgable and offer modified poses based on your abilities. They also learn your name very quickly, so it you feel at home when you walk in.
The classes sizes are small, which I like. I also like that I've never felt like anyone was judging me. I'm very inflexible and I have back problems, but everyone is there just to improve themselves and feel better. It's a really great environment!
