Watch out! SCAM!
In pandemic times like this, of COVID-19, when people are already struggling with all the s**t going on, they purposly don't let you cancel a membership. They will continue to charge constantly, even if their gym is closed. There is no way whatsoever to cancel online. 21st century and they don't have way to cancel online! You have to come in person or send a fizical letter to their mailbox and you are able to find out what kind of letter on other websites, not theirs. They don't even provide an email and don't answer the phone.
These guys don't care about your health, they care only of the extra money they can milk from you! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
The front desk was a big help to me by offering to replace my membership tag that was torn. He asked to do it unsolicited because my tag was so beat up. Showed great initiative! Very good service and thoughtful. He replaced it while i worked out. Thank you.
Staff is really nice and there is a lot of different machines to use but it can get really full
The gym is fully equipped including a separate sauna and steam room for women and men, it also has an Olympic size pool and jacuzzi.
I went as a guest and loved the set up. Lots of available equipment, staff were courteous and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was conducive to a healthy, "work hard" environment. The washrooms were clean and toiletries were always available. Definitely a recommended gym to check out.
I'm trying to get a new membership am over 60, and I only would go twice a week. They could offer this age discounts because I'm in and out in 1 hr. Would like to get a massage. But they won't budge in price. I cannot afford to go. I guess I'll just use my treadmill at home
I have seen bad services before but never that bad .. the stuff members at the spa-desk are the worst and of course all because of the bad management provided by the manager of the spa section. Lisa you are the best massage therapist that I ever came in counter with and I wish if you work at different location where your customers receive the customer-service that they deserve.
DON'T TAKE THIS GYM'S MEMBERSHIP! WORST GYM EVER!
I wish there were negative stars on google reviews.
This gym persuaded me to take their membership when I said I was unsure if I'll live nearby. Once you become a member, you are gone!
The worst part is customer service. When you want to call customer service to resolve any issue, they never pick up. The automated service says that "representatives are currently busy". I wonder if they even have someone or not.
Once I became a member and I had to move to other place, I requested them to cancel my membership, once I told them I'm a student and I don't earn and I can't afford the gym, they persuaded me to "freeze" my account so that I can use the gym without paying. NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THE ANNUAL FEE THAT IS CHARGED REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOUR ACCOUNT IS FREEZED OR NOT!
When I went to one of the XSport gyms and explained him the problem, he said "I'm sorry I didn't sign you up, I don't even know who signed you up, he should have told you about the annual fee. Please talk to customer service."
And you know what is happening when I'm calling customer service. I'm not evem using the gym because I live 70 miles far. Still they charged me $39 as "annual maintenance fee" even after supposedly "freezing" my account.
These guys will eat your money unlawfully. Save your precious money and don't get the membership.
I am a big fan of Xsport and go to a bunch throughout the city and though this one has a basketball court and pool it is highly and organized and dirty I hope they get it better because it could be a good place
This is good place to workout! It has almost everything you need. The only problem is it get overcrowded at peak times and many people hog machines and benches. Some people will not let you work in.
My wife has been trying to cancel her month to month membership for two months now. When she called in, she was told they could not do the cancellation over the phone and must be done in person between the hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I have never heard of this! She will actually need to take time off work to cancel her subscription. Wow!
Update- I was able to call the corporate office and Ms.Justice cancelled our membership over the phone and offered a one month refund for the inconvenience. Ms. Justice knows customer service, thank you!

Very clean not to Crowded fitness trainers are very good but will push you to sign up for more training. Don't let them talk you in to more. Once you learn the exercises you can do them on your own. Unless you need pushing and are lazy

This gym is terrible, the parking lot smells like marijuana all the time. They have gang members hanging around the parking lots late at night drinking in public on their property and they don't even call the police. The locker rooms are broken into all the time even with locks. The customer service upfront is rude, not only that but they have a bunch of uneducated people working there that can't even answer simple questions. Save your money and go a few blocks down to planet fitness $10.00 a month vs this garbage ass gym. These people have no idea what fitness is about. The gym is dirty, the towels are dirty. A bunch of felons fighting, this is a playground. This isn't a gym. Not only that but this place is so deseprate to hire people as well. They offered my cousin and I a job. I turned it down because it's plain slave labor for absolutely nothing.

Staff is incompetent and rude. The equipment is broken down, I've witnessed an elliptical break on a man and cause an injury. It is treated like a child's toy box, there are weights lying around everywhere, nothing is ever in it's place. People who regular are also very ignorant, break equipment, take weights off while you're occupying them. Very dirty, the locker rooms smell like urine and have stains everywhere. Some part time workers are very ignorant and "make fun" of patrons, also have no actual knowledge of fitness products or lifestyle. The water fountain has a fowl aftertaste, almost like a lead or heavy mineral that provides a "fish taste/odor". People smoke marijuana in the parking lot, and cops tend to frequent the location. Never any equipment or parking available during peak hours, so don't even bother. Pool hasn't been changed in months, has an irregular color and is always uncomfortably cold. Fitness studio has free weights locked, only in use during classes, which are lead by out-of-shape and "boring" instructors. All products are ridiculously overpriced in comparison to actual market retail value. Music selection is even poor, and repetitious.
Good equipment. But it would be great if they actually RETURN the weights where it belongs. The management, well dont expect miracles... The sauna and pool... needs to be SANITIZED. I have never seen this place shut down for a day of DEEP CLEANING. Towels... sigh just bring your own and save yourself the waiting time... But the trainer I got, Ashley M rocked! Overall, Ok gym.
Even rating 1/5 is undeserved! U guys are the worst place to workout in. Bad customer service, and system was bulit to steal money from clients. I have not been to it since November 2017 and 2 days ago they took money from my card even thou I have cancelled it since then, I called them and they were like "you should fill out cancellation form and blah blah blah". If that happens again after I cancelled it this time again I'll call the police on u guys and will sue you.
The gym is great a lot of people seem to lack gym etiquette and forget to put their weights away but I don't mind, the mens restrooms are not cleanest but not absolutely horrible and most of the people in the gym are friendly and helpful. As for the staff you have a few good people whom care about their gym customers and then you also have a few who don't seem to care about their customers nor go the extra mile for them. Ariel at the front desk was both rude and too lazy to help me at times and Harold as a manager at the gym wasn't the friendliest or most understanding manager a gym could have. However despite those bad experiences I have definitely had plenty of good experiences with faculty here like Cody who does a great job and delivers great customer service, Chris who was quite helpful and understanding and a few other hard working front desk people. Thank you for your time reading this. overall good gym.

Some of the staffs are nice.
This gym location is big and if you go when its not rush hour times, you'll be able to enjoy using the equipments without rushing or waiting for some people to finish their set.
But, they definitely NEED to clean the water fountain and maybe add another water fountain? Or put some water station

This place used to be my favorite location but now it's always a mess, towels are always all over the locker room, weights all over the work out floor, you can never find what you need and if you can find it there's someone hogging that equipment and 3 other things. As if members don't realize this isn't their home gym and they need to share. Forget working out on sundays, it's as if no one works here. Better off going to another location.
Children....only children work out here. Never see so many irresponsible people with no disregard for the space. No one can be bothered to put their weights away, including trainers and staff. The fact that trainers and staff cant be bothered to put the weights away tells you something about the overall well being of this place.
At first glance the place seems impressive due to its size and amenities. After spending some time there you'll notice this place needs some work.
I'll start with what I've experienced during every visit. The locker room and pool floors are always dirty and the weights are always laying around on the floor.
One time I went there and the water fountain drain was clogged with something that looked like puke. The water was overflowing right onto the ground. How is it possible for the staff to not clean this at some point during the 1.5 hours I was there?
I have no idea how long the swimsuit drying machine has been out of order or missing. To me it seems easy to overnight a new one and have it fixed in less than a couple days.
I also signed up at this gym and I was a little unhappy with the salesman who signed me up. I was hoping to just pay my fees, get a card, and start my workout like every other gym I've joined. He knew I've been to gyms before. Many times I told him I'm just there to work out by myself but he kept pitching my extra costly stuff like personal trainers, supplements, and classes. I feel that any good salesman would have figured out quickly on that I am the type of customer who has already done my research. I felt like he twisted my arm into getting the spa package by reducing the up-front cost. If I continue with the self spa package my monthly cost will be $100 which is way too much for my budget.
The self spa package has services like an "LED facial" and an "infrared sauna." These seem cool and I really wanted to learn more about how they work to make me look and feel better. As a college graduate in science I had some inferences which raised questions. The staff seemed to lack a knowledge of these services. For example, when I asked how the infrared sauna is different than the regular sauna the staff just told me it's a different kind of heat. What in the world does that mean? And how is it better than other heats?
Unlike many other gyms and even other Xsports, the locker room and pool floors are super slippery when wet. Don't expect to have any grip at all when walking around barefoot. They really should have gone with a more rough surfaced floor, like the Xsport in Lakeview.
This is a 24 hour gym that locks up their weights cuz some people bring the weights home. So their BEST! solution is to lock up the weights and unlock it only for certain classes. Great idea for a 24 GYM! SO ENCOURAGING and PUNISHING FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T STEAL THEIR EQUIPMENT!
There is no excuse why the court area should NOT be clean at 5:30-6am. I myself and a few others are here 4-5 times a week at this hour and maybe will walk into the court area once a month and see it completely clean. We all pay our membership to have a nice and well kept gym but to be walking into this day in and day out shows no responsibility on the staff and management at all. We have gone up to the front desk and asked to have it cleaned and all we hear is will tell management and no change has happened. I am posting this here and next step is to go to directly to corporate. Please make the court area some priority. #sad #xsportfail
Locker rooms are an absolute disaster almost days and times. Soap dispensers and showers are mostly empty. Floor soaking wet water bottles towels paper towels all over the floor. And now they have the gall to charge for towels. Too many young 20 something kids sitting at machines at not working out. Browsing through music and what have you on their phones with headsets in. Staff does nothing about it.
Clean and well equipped place to workout. The staff is decent too
This gym is a great place I really love it, but the only thing that I do not like is that the pool is not cleaned enough or the hotub
The rep who signed me up did literally everything wrong. Signed me up with the wrong name, wrong phone number, wrong birthday, wrong address and even wrong emergency contact -- which is a safety issue. The women at the front desk was annoyed when I asked for help to correct it. I waited 20 minutes in person to try get my account info corrected, they took a copy of my ID and said everything should be set. Nope, account still had wrong info, couldn't even access the website because of this. I had to wait on the phone for over an hour for cooperate to fix the account. Also, the rep lied about being able to bring a guest to any Xsport location, the ONLY reason I signed up for a premium Xsport membership over the basic was for the ability to go to any Xsport location with a guest, to only find that it's not honored by all Xsport locations -- which feels like a bait and switch as that was NEVER communicated. It's obvious the rep that did my membership just wanted a quick commission so he rushed in filing my paperwork and couldn't care less about accurately supplying information about the premium membership.
Went for 2 years. Water fountains would be down consistently. Dirty locker rooms. 2 squat racks which always had an hour wait. Decent starter gym, but now on to better and bigger things
Just an all around bad experience. The area by the squat racks always smells like a moldy shaker bottle and the locker room smells of urine. Also, there is an all around bad gym culture of people not even re-racking their dumbbells. I get it that this is a gym rat gym but come on at least have some standards.
I was scammed from just trying to take a 7 day trial into a 30 day trial where I would get all my money back if I did not like the gym. What happens is they "forget" to tell you that you need to submit in writing to the corporate office that you want to cancel (to be fair it is listed in the fine print on the back of the forms you fill out, but lets be honest when you are talking to the general manager and you flat out ask him "so all I need to do is cancel by my 30th day and I will not be charged" and he says "yup that is it" you tend to believe him and do not think that there is more to it than just cancelling at the gym in person.)
I ended up cancelling in person at the gym after my 28th day and was told by the GM, Jesse, (after requesting to speak to him 3 times) all would be taken care of as long as I had filled out the form in the gym within the 30 day period. 2 days later I got charged $106 on top of the $20 I put down and the $15 "yearly fee". I went back into the gym to try and get refunded and was told they had yet to "process" my cancellation (even though they are open 24/7) and if I wanted to try and get my refund I could call the corporate office. Corporate office was even worse to deal with and would not give me the full refund. They did refund me one of the months, but I am still on the hook for paying for 2 months for a gym I would only have only worked out at once. My 7 day free trial turned into a 2 month membership for $93.
TL;DR: Do not sign up for this gym unless you're fine with a gym rat gym. Don't trust the staff and get and save copies of all paperwork.
Just be aware that the "new year, new me" crowd floods in and uses everything. So if you're looking to get a good session in go early or late night after the crowds. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful
Great staff, great place, the catch is that A. The prices jeep hiking every couple months. B. Training sessions are way too expensive. C. The locker rooms bathrooms smell consistently travel into the showers, what a nice way to end a workout. The manager said that corporate doesn't give a shot and that they don't try and do something about it like build a wall with a door to separate bathroom from locker room, almost criminal for the prices they charge. And don't get me started on the showers. So many people coming in and out and they should be cleaning it every half hour at least to keep it sanitary during busy hours.
at first i wasn't planning to join in this location but thanks to the best customer service from GUILLERMO that i decided to join and signed up already. I have never seen someone who loves his job so much that he went above and beyond to make my first experience amazing. He explained every single benefits i get based on my membership and he is always happy to answer any questions and concerns i have. I can't stress enough how good he is in what he does and i suggest you ask for him if you are going there for first time. so far i love my experience and everyone at the front desk is very helpful and always attentive. Thanks GUILLERMO, You are the best!
After 14 years I vow to never give them another $.
If you're a new member you pay $14. If you have been loyal to this company for 14 years, just like me, you pay $42 If you would like to switch to $14 and only go there, then you have to pay a $278 "downgrade" fee to make the switch. What? Corporation says the gym controls the fees and can waive it, but the GM at the gym says corporation does that. Who's running this company and why do you not value your costumers?
I got a membership in June of 2016, buy one year get one free.Sounded pretty good.
They talked me into getting another subscription that charged every month. Sadly I didn't like that subscription, so I called them to cancel it, because they told me when I first signed up that it would be free to cancel it. They told me there would be an extra charge to cancel. Whatever.
Fine. I'll pay it. I'm not happy about it, but I'll pay it. I found out a little bit ago that they were still charging me for this.
I wrote them a letter, because the phone number on the website didn't work, and the website said to send a letter. I received a phone call a week ago and had a conversation with a woman who said that I should not have been charged to cancel this subscription, and they would try to get me my money back, if not just cancel the subscription. I still had another year on the membership, if I wished to use it, so that was free. This is fine, this is acceptable.
The woman stated she would speak with her manager, and would call me back about giving me a refund. They never called me back. I did, however, get a phone call at roughly 5:30pm 7/14 from one of the local gyms stating that my membership had expired on 7/7, and if I wanted to renew it. Excuse me?
I was told I had another year, is that wrong? Apparently my membership expired, after I've been told it hadn't. So long as I don't get charged again, that's fine with me, I just don't want to be involved with this nonsense ever again. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH XSPORT.
DO NOT GET THE RUNAROUND LIKE I HAVE.Go OUTSIDE for a freaking bike ride.
Best X-sports facility in the area. Very clean. All new equipment.
