The River Plexs is a great place to work out and get fit. I loved the River plexiglas to work out. That's all for now. It is a great place to work out for your health as well. That's all for now.
I really like this place ! Nice for adult fitness... I am retired and do cardio and strength 3x a week, during weekday mornings.
Machines are up-to-date and plentiful... pools are clean, well-staffed and not crowded. Indoor track is 1/8 mile and elevated, overlooking basketball courts with a great view of the river. Staff is helpful and friendly. Locker room and showers are well maintained. Many dozens of classes are offered (but I have not yet taken any). Senior membership fee is reasonable.
Local hospital conducts cardiac, pulmonary and orthopedic rehab most weekdays (medical staff is readily available, should there be any medical issue).
Love the Riverplex! Great gym and friendly staff. I don't lift weights a whole lot but I play basketball 2-3 times per week. I'm usually there Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm sometimes Fridays playing basketball. Show up if you'd like to get some runs in!
The tiles around the jacuzzi need updated, and there's a little too much chlorine in it. Some things don't work like the machine that spins the water out of swimsuits in the locker room. Other than that, there's a lap pool, a warmer therapy pool, the lazy river for the kids with a slide, a steam room, and a dry sauna.
It was a horrible experience. I wanted to go swimming with my relative and when we got in the pool, the lifeguard first asked my age, (which is below 17) then told me that I wasn't allowed to swim. I wasn't doing anything wrong, I wasn't screaming or splashing. All I did (for the 2 minutes I stayed in the pool) was to get warmed up. Then the managers came and told us that I had to leave or don't swim. We decided to leave, then we asked for a refund and the manager said he can't give us a refund. The manager was looking manly at us with disgust. I wanted to get out of there right away. And also, there wasn't any sign at all in the front desk about the kids hours, or people under 17. So in the end they ate up our money, and we left home with an afternoon wasted. 0 stars if I could.

Aquaplex is very worn and dirty. Paint is worn off, cement is rough due to the thinning paint, there was a pile of dirt and sand built up in the lazy river area. With many kids packed in the pool area, there were only 2 lifeguards around the kid pool area who didn't even realize when a kid tried to hold another kid under water in order to get their inner tube away. During a lightning delay, there was a lifeguard who kept cheering loudly every time she heard lightning. We had traveled from other towns to meet family here, so or kids were disappointed, and this staff member's excitement at not having to do her job just made the kids upset. The only good thing was getting to spend time with my family.

A weird piece of architecture - for sure - but good instructors and clean facility make this my choice for indoor fitness in Peoria. The aqua facilities are where my daughter is learning to swim while I join fitness classes for a little extra motivation.
Aa a silver sneakers member, I belong to the warm water arobics class. It helps with my arthritis and other health problems. Everyone ids nice and facility is clean.
Wasted my money there. Went to swim and had basketball shorts on and they wouldn't let me or my kids swim. They wouldn't refund my money back either.
Love taking my daughter for swim class on week days.
This facility is a dark and evil place!!! I had worked hard and lost 225 pounds in 21 months and recently a sadistic staff member robbed me of my only way of staying healthy from me. She took away my membership all because i am autistic and a lesbian!!! All the staff there are hard hearted and uncaring with no souls and care only for themselves!!! They are natzis!!! Well I dont need this dark and evil place anymore!!! I dont need to be hurt by those monsters anymore and they certainly are not worth giving my money to!!! I dont deserve to be hurt by those monsters anymore!!! I am a good and nice person despite what them or anyone else says! I deserve to be happy and healthy and it will happen!!! Just not at this horrible place!!!
This is an excellent facility at a very affordable price. They offer a very diverse group of classes and have great equipment to get moving toward a better lifestyle.
Such a clean facility, with THE most friendly staff. It's an absolute pleasure to be a member!

They also have a very clean workout rooms and locker rooms. One of my favorite things about this place is the view of the Illinois River while you are there. The back side facing the river is pretty much a wall full of Windows which makes for a beautiful scenery while having fun or working out.

Staff is knowledgeable,place is clean and well equipped. Kiddy pool has slide and water guns. Kids love it. Plenty of free weights and a wide assortment of machines.
I enjoy working out here but wish they updated bathrooms and locker rooms...in their current condition they need to be deep cleaned.

My son had his 1st birthday party at the aquaplex this July. We had a guest list of about 20+. Guest aged from 1-70 years old. Everyone enjoyed the pool, indoor water play area and out door water play area. The lazy river is super short but my kids enjoyed it. I loved being able to watch them swim and not have to bake outside. The life guards were very attentive that day. I would've loved more pool time before the party. However, it was nice to not have to clean up after the party. We're taking our 6 children back soon!
BE AWARE OF YOUR NOT PAYING THEM MONEY TO USE THERE FACILITIES YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO USE THERE BATHROOM!! MY 4 YEAR OLD AND I WERE PLAYING AT THERE PARK OUTSIDE AND WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE BATHROOM, THEY LIED TO US AND TOLD IS THAT THERE BATHROOMS WERE NOT WORKING THEN SAID THEY HAD A PORTA POTTY OUTSIDE THAT WAS A LIE TOO. SO MY SON ALMOST PEED HIMSELF. BUT THEY DON'T CARE!! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THE RIVERPLEX TO ANYONE, RIDE STAFF STUPID RULES AND LIARS.
State of the art Recreational Facility!! It's definitely one of the better places to go in Peoria !! Job well done
