Clean facility and great location. Staffs were friendly and the place was not that crowded when I visited earlier. Their bathroom was clean and the equipment were working perfectly.

These days people like myself are considering working out, we start looking at the basic facilities, the mid range and the top of the line places.
LA fitness is a midrange facility with the same amenities as the large clubs without the prices. I particularly like the MYZONE program to challenge myself, all the modern amenities, and a low membership fee without giving up safety in dimly lit parking areas
The inside of this gym is just nasty. Smells horrible and need some TLC and a good cleaning. Very very dirty. Loved the gansta-rap being played over the intercom with f-bombs being dropped in the song. Felt like I was working out in a "Prison Yard".

Great equipment. Friendly staff and gym goers. Only downside is that people don't know how to rerack their weights properly!

Decent. Definitely would love it if the dumbbells were a little easier to find. Also, checking the fountains to make sure they keep water cold. Also, towels as opposed to all the paper towels that are everywhere by the end

Was here as a guest of one of the trainers. I actually swimming pool to exercise I had the best work out the pool was not crowded at all. And I enjoyed it because I know that they recently clean the pool

Super nice gym! As a newbie I had questions about how to use the machines and the manager David was more than willing to help me out! He actually jumped on every machine I had questions about, the machines can be updated though

I really love LA fitness so far. It has such bad reviews but I dont understand why, its clean and the classes are good. Lots of machines available
Came in as a new customer, and David, the ops manager was fantastic! He provided excellent service, was accommodating, and answered all of my questions/concerns. would highly recommend the loaction to all of my family and friends.

Nice but It could be better, some of these machines need cushion replacement and others need adjustment.
the management is great! they helped me with picking out a gym membership. i love coming here everyday after work
Too many machines not working and many other machines are old.
The associates are nice but memberships are too expensive.
They need to clean the washroom all around all the time especially in the weekend is so nasty in the mens washroom and has a bad smell all the time. Please need this fix and also the wifi be acting up on and off cant enjoy a good work out while listening or be on social media.
Great location... Classes... but for ladies that like to shower after a workout??. The showers are HORRIBLE... MILDEW/MOLD/SCUM!!!! Nasty... unhealthy. I did report to management so hoping as seen it will be cleaned.

Really bad service, the General Manager was no help at all.
If the manager here is a short Hispanic woman with curly hair then continue reading if not I may have the wrong gym. The manager for this location flaunted her title at the lafitness on 56th and kedzie where she has no say. I think this is one of the most ridiculous and unprofessional thing ive seen. She involved herself in an ongoing debate about ignorant people that don't respect the starting time for classes at another gym. Unless she's paying my training membership (which is extra, on top of the membership) she has no say to tell me and the instructor my class shouldn't be there be cause it's a private class offered at my gym. If you ever want to see a grown woman make a scene out of pure ignorance and on a power trip I guess this is the location. Side note: she refused to provide her name just said I'm the manager at such and such location.

On the downside, the machines are super old, and if they took the time to invest in newer equipment, it would warrant at least a half-star higher rating, as the membership fees should allow for a better looking facility-- So if you are look for state of the art tech-gym atmosphere, you won't find it here-- but as stated, there is a nice variety of cardio and resistance machines for everyone and the aerobics instructors are very enthusiastic and there's even a pool ! overall grade: C! Room for improvement, but overall, worth a try!
