Now that the gym is closed and still taking membership dues.... THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON THE PLACE SHOULD NOT BE THOROUGHLY SANITIZED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Be aware of potentially considering buying a membership at this fitness club their prices overall are way too high surely some of you may or may not already know that but what I can say based on my contract with x sport it was to expensive I initially paid $210 upfront for the cheapest $10 membership which is the most basic membership. Secondly I was required to pay a $49 maintanance fee not to mention that they do not offer an explanation as to what this maintanance fee is for. So you are paying $249 in total. The other concern about this gym is many of the machines are quite dirty & rusty and sometimes even has sweat on the seats which is uncomfortable to be able to use. It can generally be crowded unexpectedly & can be very difficult to find an area to comfortably workout in. So once again I urge others to reconsider not purchasing a membership with x sport their are many other options & gyms near by that are much more affordable, cleaner, less expensive & less crowded.

Monica is the best! She helped me find the best tanning package and honestly the beds are better then most of LA Tan. I went one time and received the greatest color ever! Thanks to Monica, I will continue to tan at Xsport

Great gym with plentiful amenities. I love that it's open 24 hours as well. The only reason I won't give them 5 stars is the XSport at Chicago ridge I go to always seems to have equipment that's out of order everytime I go and they take quite sometime to finish it. The first floor equipment needs a major upgrade as well

UPDATE: No more towels at this location, that was one of the perks of the membership... this location is so bad now.
Just nasty most time. This was on 03/27 02:00 aAM, the gym is almost empty and YET they have not cleaned any of this mess that is probably from the rush hour.

Pool is great. Trainer is helpful. The womans bathroom is not usually clean.

Pretty expensive for what they have to offer. Gym members are pretty big tools. A lot of alpha maleism going on. I do like how they have a push/pull sled and a tire for flipping and hitting. Kudos to that

The gym is a nice gym however Chicago Ridge is really turning bad with the clientele that's in there. Should get rid of the basketball court and would relieve a ton of the problems

It was very nice as it wasn't packed. Machines were spaced apart from each other so no one was on top of each other. Had alot to offer for workout wise. As well as had very good trained staff!

Some bald head secruity guy Checked my key tag just to go in baskekball court .then made me go get my id....i watched him for 20mins .he didnt check another person comin in. After that he goes n sits at the smoothie bar were you get wheat grass shots for another 15mins
Terrible icalled corparate 2twice told me to go report to mangers .they basically said theyll talk to the guy n really didnt care n no concernon being consistant with key tag checking sadest thing ever .i felt uncomfortable at the gym n probly wont go back .this has never happen at any of the other locations ive been to

Great place. Sometimes it takes a bit long to get checked in and lots of equipment needs fixing but I love the group fitness classes.

Actually I was in the area in the afternoon not too long ago & I enjoyed my workout as this facility has ample amount of equipment without one having to wait around (unlike other Xsport gyms). I would be careful coming @ night time though because I believe there are a few thieves lurking around because I have seen broken glasses from car vehicles in the lot late night/early morning. Just make sure your valuables are in an area where thieves cannot see.

I really enjoy the group fitness classes. The gym can be a bit crowded sometimes, the treadmills are heavily used and not all functions work on most. They have towel service but don't always have clean towels available. Over all though I enjoy the atmosphere and the staff.

Be aware of robbers in the gym. My dad locked his belongings in the locker and in an hour he came back & his lock was broken and they took everything (cell, wallet, keys). We got the police involved and they are looking through surveillance cameras at the gas station where the robber used the cards, along with xsport cameras/membership info. If you know anything, or saw/see anything suspicious please let xsport or police know.

This place is garbage. Equipment garbage. Bathrooms garbage. Steroids in the gym locker room. They need to fire the manager and rebuild this place. X sport should be called x garbage.

If I could give a lesser rating to this gym, I would. I had been a member at the Naperville location (which was great, clean, and organized), and when I moved, I wanted to sign up to this location. During the sign up process I was constantly pressured to sign up for the $49 a month membership and was promised that if I did, the sign up fee would be waved. I adamantly told the representative that I did not want that plan and the $10 a month with the sign up fee was enough for me. As I was looking through my card statement, I noticed the charge for the sign up fee the first month, but the second month they started charging me $49 - WHEN I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM NOT TO.
The gym itself is always crowded, and poorly looked after. There are always lines for the equipment while people just sit around on it and look at their phones. The weights are always misplaced and it is impossible to find a pair of the same weight. The facility itself smells disgusting, and the employees just hang around the entrance, not even trying to clean it up or look after it.
I will definitely be cancelling my membership to this location.

Just joined this gym let me tell you dont join this gym. This place is so gross. Weights are all over the place water bottles all over the floor. When i talked to management they said its hard to keep a gym so big clean all the time. For 40 bucks a month hire more people. Im not paying all this money to have to search the whole gym for weights that i need. Yea they have a lot to offer but none of its clean or even worth using. Honestly so disappointed in this gym. I get better service from blast!

The gym is not worth the 39.99 they are charging. I like the size of it , the variety. I'm wondering how often do you clean the carpet? Just maybe that's the reason it smells. The staff isn't that friendly, but I don't give a fk. I'm not there for them. The gym needs more towels, every time I come there is no towels. $39.99 a month.

I called asking questions about cancelling a membership because i didnt like the tour i took, and the person on the phone ...i didnt catch a name said (yeah im gonna let you go) and hung up on me???? Like what?? Who does that?? they obviously dont care about anything. I called back asking for a manager and they were all supposably in a meeting. I saw all the bad google reviews and thought hmm it cant be that bad but now i know why they have so many bad reviews.It sucks! Dont go here people youv'e been warned.

Absolutely disappointing. The place is filthy and when machines break, it takes months to fix.
Today at 5:55AM 2/16/18, I had to take a dump in the middle of my workout. All but one of the stalls were full so I took the last one and of course no toilet paper. At this point I can't hold it in anymore so I go in anyway. I call the front desk asking for toilet paper and the guy tells me he's the only staff there. His advice was for me to go to another stall. At this point i'm livid and I wait 10 minutes for someone to finish so I can walk over half naked to wipe myself. They didn't even have paper towels to dry my hands after washing my hands. I go outside and there were 4 staff just milling around. Absolutely horrible customer service.

Love the hours and the availability/variety of equipment. Although every Xsport Fitness location needs a dedicated deadlift station.
Definitely needs to be cleaned and sanitized WAY more often. The locker room floors at the Chicago Ridge location have more garbage, dust, dirt, and just nasty bits than the street outside does. Showers have a gentle coating of a slimy substance on floors and walls.
Gets crowded during peak hours, just how it is, no complaits as that's the name of the game - "rush hour". It's expected.

Equipment is OLD SCHOOL aka Beast mode Weights so don't be complaining about the weights. You're here to train not look at the weights. Overall awesome gym , people that work there... eh some are cool .

I absolutely love this location. I've literally been to every location in IL and this one is by far my favorite. If you're into group classes... the instructors are literally the best motivators and instructors I've ever seen. Kristy is absolutely amazing. Marie who does pure strength on Wednesdays is sooo good as well. Love and enjoy both of their classes. I don't think the gym smells bad or the equipment doesn't work.

Went here for about 6 years. The selection of equipment is HUGE, tons of different weight training machines, free weights and cardio equipment. Love that they have a basketball court and pool. Sales staff can be pretty aggressive though, and the men's locker room and bathrooms often smelled unbearable. I ended up cancelling because of geography reasons though. Solid gym.

The locker room has no cctv so that when someone breaks the lock of your locker you will know who did it. My friend lost his things beacuse someone broke the lock of his locker. The advantage is its 24 hours open and lots of amenities.

I have been going to this location for 4 years. It's ok. Big gym. Somewhat clean. Today I was disrespected by the big juice head black guys there. People there are so rude. I felt disgusted on how the men treat the women there. Like trash, total disrespect . Men there will push you off machines, curse you out and laugh about it. Ladies, I'm warming you. Don't go to this location . You will get harassed , put down, cursed out by the guys there. I will never set foot into this place!

This is my home gym....I absolutely love this place. Ive going since it opened. Great trainers and staff. My only gripe recently is that the fountain water is luke warm but other than that 24 hour access is fantastic
