Fantastic place for a newbie like myself. USY has been recommended to me by A LOT of people. Rachel Swirsky is by far the best!! Her class is on Wednesdays at 5:30. It is 100% worth it- especially if you have back or neck pain, as so many people do, or sciatica or an inverted hip or any painful condition, you'll want to try this place out. Some of the negative reviews may have been accurate 3 years ago but I'm writing this in September 2019 and you will not be disappointed. Remember- Wednesdays at 5:30 pm with Rachel Swirsky. I can't speak for any of the others because I have zero reason to go to anyone else's class. I have chronic pain and as I sit here I actually feel comfortable because this class has really helped me target my specific pain and learn new ways to find relief. 5/5!!

Authentic, positive and warm yogini's. The aura is calming, classes are challenging yet perfect balance. Much to be learned from this group!

I was interested in about 3 different classes they offered so I was planning on purchasing 10 classes when I walked in.

The class I took when I arrived was taught by a very nice teacher who was great with kids. I did like this.

Reasons I won't be returning:
1 - Didn't even let me try out a class. Fitness places quite often let you simply try a class for free so you can decide if you want to go regularly. The person at the front didn't seem to understand why I even asked to try a class. So I had to pay to even see if this was my yoga studio where I would be investing a bit of money. A good business would see this as an investment and let people try them to want to continue going if it's a good match. When I told the person in the front about my interest in other classes she asked if I would have someone watching my child so I could take them. Like I wouldn't know how to make arrangements or something. Didn't sound very welcoming to me.

2 - The yoga room was actually uncomfortably warm. I know you can work up a sweat, but this wasn't an intense class. This wasn't hot yoga, but I found myself light-headed after class. I can't imagine how I'd feel afterwards taking a different class. Often yoga classes are more on the colder side since people get warm in there and they don't want them overheating.

3 - The website clearly states that all equipment is provided. The website says "We charge no rental or usage fees for our yoga equipment. Our ask is that you only help us out by ensuring equipment is kept in an organized fashion before and after its usage."

After forking up money to try a class out I was told there was a $2 rental fee to use their yoga mats. What the heck! I have NEVER heard of this and the opposite was on their website. I researched this place before going and was shocked by this news once arrived. No one said anything and I didn't have to pay their stupid rental fee. If it was an issue with cleaning their mat, most people will do that if you provide the spray and cloth to do it.

It's really too bad this place nickel and dimes you because the instructor and people taking the class seemed nice. Surprised I didn't have to pay to use the bathroom.

Participated in Mommy (ahem, Daddy) and Me Yoga a bunch of times. Miss Jilly was always really great, and the studios are very nice too.

What a beautiful find! As a newer student to yoga I was searching for a yoga studio that did not have a competitive atmosphere and embraced the spiritual aspects of yoga as well. Loved the studio so much I enrolled in the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Poonam. What a rich and authentic experience! I highly recommend this studio because of the wonderful instructors, variety of classes and workshops offered, and the teacher training with Poonam!
