Needs more sanitation in lockers rooms. Equipment needs maintenance, starting to rust due to poor cleanliness. Inside actual lockers was dirty, poor smell. Low lighting in upstairs weight room. Equipment starting to breakdown. Basketballs are low on air or completely flat.
You get what you pay for. Its a good cheap gym and a mediocre gym otherwise. A few very good personal trainers from what I can tell, several not so great ones. One of them was having an elderly woman use the ladder who could barely walk in a straight line as it was. Two water fountains on each level in a massive gym. The ones upstairs are not working as I type this. The one that works looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. They should invite the local neuqua kids to run science experiments on the nasty growth near the fountain spout so we can at least know what bacteria is consuming our body when we get sick. Open 24 hours but they vacuum around your feet during the day with a corded vacuum. My guest tripped on it.
Pretty decent equipment, nice staff not too dirty, the basketball court floor is always so dirty. For the price it's a good value.
Edit: after a year of being a member, I can't really say that even for 10 dollars a month it's worth it. I wouldn't say it's terrible from a lifting perspective but the bathroom is disgusting pretty much always and the daycare is a joke. It is understaffed and dirty. Can't say I would really recommend this place unless it's your only option.
I dont understand half of these negative reviews because my experience at XSport in Naperville has been nothing BUT awesome! If you are truly someone who is motivated to sweat and get to a happy place with yourself, this gym gives you all the tools to do just that. I have been a member for the last 8 years and I love this gym. I've gone to a few other locations but this one is close to home now. The classes, instructors, equipment, staff, spa and more.. have always been great! Thanks XSport :)

I see a pattern in this feedback....they lied to my wife to get her to sign a contract then wouldn't let her out. She signed up for personal trainer services which they make you pay in advance then we were forced to move for work and they won't refund her for unused services. She SPECIFICALLY asked about that before signing up.
We even filed a complaint with the corporate office that nobody cared to respond to.
Bunch of incompetent scumbags running this place.
UPDATE: The third party they contract to handle the large volume of customer issues connected me to somebody in the company who hid behind some obscure and illogical fine print to deny a refund. There are 100+ reviews of just this location that follow the same pattern in just the last year or so.
There are too many red flags here to even begin to understand why anybody would want to do business with these people.
1. You can't resolve issues locally
2. When you use the established process to file a complaint with the corporate office they don't respond
3. When you turn to social media they use a third party who has an elaborate tracking mechanism to track the large volume of complaints for this company...aka the company doesn't care enough to resolve issues themselves and needs the help from a 3rd party
4. In the end you finally get to someone at the company who doesn't acknowledge the pattern of unethical behavior their employees use by saying anything to get people to sign a contract.
Bottom line - if this place was the last place on earth where I could achieve the level of fitness that I desire, I'd rather stay morbidly obese.

The equipment is good and X-IT in particular is terrific. However, the staff does not seem to care about long-term customer relationships; it seems to be all about getting customers in there, not keeping them happy.
As an example, I pre-paid for several instructor sessions. In the middle of my sessions, my instructor let X-Sport and there was no notification to me. Later, when I went in to ask to get assigned another instructor, I was told my sessions had "expired" because I didn't use them in time. Huge rip off!
UPDATE: After "fixing" the problem, they convinced me to buy more sessions. My new instructor AGAIN disappeared within 4-5 weeks with no notice and now a year's worth of payments are in limbo. Posting here because that seems to be the only way to get a response.

I got a 1-week pass (email invitation) to try out but salesperson asked me to sign up for $1 for a week and continue $39.99/month if I like it. I was also told that I can cancel anytime within the initial week (no contract) and need not to pay anything. I really like the environment and wanted to continue but due to business travel for next three months, I needed to cancel it. When I asked to cancel, the GM said, the first charge of $39.99 will have to be paid no matter whether I cancel within the week of initial sign up. I live in the community and support local business but my experience with XSport@Naperville is not good and refrain from joining this in future. I will share this with my friends in the community as well so no one gets trapped.

The 2 xport I workout at St Charles and Naperville, illinois very clean friendly staff can be crowded at times bring a friend also encourage by xsport! Learn the traffic of rush hour use to get full use of gym!
Be careful!! It's ~$170 initiation fee + $49 (annual "maintenance" fee) + $10/ month. So it's really $27.50/ month for the first year. They did not do a good job explaining the $49 fee to me for the first year. The sales guy left me with a slimy feeling.
It is a fantastic gym with varieties of good prices. I absolutely enjoy coming here!! Staffs do well and are knowledgeable with their work and services!! The gym has good exercise machines and absolutely has great offers such as awesome trainings of many kinds!! But I feel that XSports Fitness needs extra space inside now...because at certain times of the day and on some days of the week...there is no where to go and do some activities when it gets heavily packed inside the XSports Gym!!
This particular location is big and it has a lot of equipment
But the staff is horrible. A few times we went and had to interact with them, they were rude and uninterested.
The only thing they seemed interested was we paying for more services
Charging for towels?! Disappointed that XSport will once again remove towels for "nonpremium" members. Since those members don't use the other gym classes or trainers no towels will be provided. I am disappointed with the towel situation, however there are some positives. XSport offers great equipment and mostly friendly employees. The locker room is typically lacking service. Currently the dry sauna has a broken top seat, 3 weeks and no repair and no sign posted, as this is clearly a safety issue. XSport gets a lot of negative reviews. And unfortunately I adding to the pile.
Great facility and friendly employees. Peak hours can get very full. Too many people not enough equipment
I am giving a bad review based on the corporate model of this business. It is absolutely absurd that you cannot cancel your membership in person or over the phone. I know that many other large gyms follow this same model, however it is based on the well supported fact that thousands of people will not cancel or cancel months later than they want to because of the inconvenient way they are forced to do it. This gym and other gyms want to sell more memberships and have less actual visitors. This is why they do not care about the cleanliness of the gym or fixing broken equipment in a timely manner. If you are not a member, try out one of the other local gyms, this one doesn't deserve your patronage.
This gym is big, has a lot of nice amenities that some of the smaller gyms don't have. Such as basketball courts sauna and steam room, pool with the hot tub, massage and spa including haircut. However they just have one staff person cleaning, so if you go at night it's generally going to be messy
I got a 30 day free membership. I went there one time for ten minutes. This is the most disgusting place I have ever stepped foot in. The stench In the locker room is the disguising and the steam room, let's say a homeless man would not even want too be in there. I spent 10 minutes here packed up my bag and left and will never return. Thank God I did not sign up for what he called was the deal of a lifetime. I went home took a shower and put my clothes In the washing machine with bleach. If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. Please make sure you use your free trial before giving them your credit card number. I guarantee you will not join. All the other reviews about cleanliness are 100 percent accurate. If you don't believe get a free trial and see for yourself.
Came as a guest to soak an injury in the whirlpool. The whirlpool and pool area is decent.
My issue is with the uncleanliness of the facility, especially the locker room. Large clumps of hair on the floors of the shower area, and what appeared to be a worm of some kind on the floor. Yuk. There wasn't a clean surface anywhere to put my stuff while I dressed, the mirrors were dirty and the sink area also unkept. Unacceptable and a surprise for a club advertising itself as an upscale place.
Arguably the worst experience I've had at a business. Of any kind. Ever. Run by 17 year olds as far as I can tell. I think these ones actually birthed the hatred of millenials. It's "open" 24-hours which is why I first went. But if I get there after 7 not a one knows how to turn on a tanning bed. And they're, like, cool with that. Night after night. They're honesty is sort of respectable-just "yeah idk how to do that, no there's no alternative to you just leaving. Totally sorry about that." I'd attempt to get a refund if I thought even beginning that process wouldn't result in a massacre and my imprisonment.

Decent facility, however compared to every single gym in 10 miles you won't find a dirtier gym. I'd know as I have visited with friends, used my other memberships to other locations, or have done tours. The drinking fountains upstairs have the weakest stream I've seen since my high school weight room 15 years ago (I have asked multiple times over the course of almost two years, 5 would be conservative). Unfortunately it is also always absolutely filthy and has the same colorful residue every time you go there. The ones downstairs are better (it's as simple as turning a lever inside the fountain). Always very busy and the quality of the machines are pretty lacking. Since they get constant use being such a large gym the cables aren't smooth on almost any machine. If you spray a bar or bench down and use a clean paper towel it will completely change the paper towels color. The steam room usually smells of urine, and the saunas wood could use new planks. The pool should be avoided, look in any direction underwater with goggles and you'll notice you can only see about 10 feet due to murk. The greeters and supplement staff are very friendly and courteous, there's an African American young lady in particular who is always exceptionally friendly and polite, smile on the face etc. Overall decent, over crowded, needs a renovation.
Perks:
-24/7
-Great instructors for group fitness, especially yoga.
-Proximity
Honestly the most disgusting gym I have been in. Bathroom is absolutely horrible to be in and if my schedule wasn't so busy, I wouldn't ever shower here. I bring the cleanliness of the facility to the attention of guest services monthly and nothing is done.
Equipment is nice though. So 2 Stars guess.
