I've been to worse LA Fitness gyms, but I've also been to better. There's a nice selection of equipment, and it all seems to be maintained well. If you go first thing in the morning though, the weights are scattered everywhere. Machines are left with weights on them from people who didn't rerack the night before. The morning staff doesn't seem to be concerned about this either, so it just gets worse over time. They either need to clean this up the night before, or have the morning staff get in early enough to do it. If people see a neat gym, they will keep it neat. If it appears that management doesn't care, the people won't either.
This gym is really great! a reasonable priced gym with a nice staff! I won't train anywhere else.
I like the location and the facility but the shower room and changing room need some updates. When you shower the curtains are always ripped. They could use few more trashcans in the changing room in the restroom. There are no hair dryers... It seems to need a woman's hand.
Sending my Thank you to the Operation Manager @ this facility! Best place for competitive volleyball pick-up games. Met a lot of good friends and staffs are very understanding to letting & giving us volleyball time.
Majority of players are B to BB - my membership are only use for volleyball and we do enjoy organized volleying with good ball control!!!
It's difficult to find a gym that's reasonably priced that has all the equipment and classes you want. LA Fitness is definitely it!

Even though the Glenview/Northbrook location is closer to home for me, I would often go here. Both facilities are very similar. The other location does look a little cleaner and more inviting, possibly owing to the other being a newer location (by at least one year) than this one, partly owing to the demographics. [Mount Prospect is lower-middle class, Glenview is upper-middle class, Northbrook is more bourgie. Having lived in both Mount Prospect and Northbrook at different times, I can make those calls.] While this facility does not have as many cardiovascular machines (they do not have "crazy stairs" for one), they do have a much, much larger weight room, with, by my estimate, probably 1.5X as many weights. Unlike the Glenview/Northbrook location, I am usually able to find a place in the weight room with the weights I may be looking for. For that reason, I prefer to drive the extra distance and go here for extended weight-lifting sessions. Also, though I have not tried the juice bar at either location, this one appears to be operated by the mighty-fine Korean bubble tea chain Liquid Fusion, so points in favor? Though I am sure the juice bar is nowhere near the level of their freestanding stores...
The place is absolutely filthy. The staff suck and all have attitudes. Pushy sales people. Sometimes they clear the basketball court for volleyball... I would watch your bank account very carefully to see if they double charge you for the 1 time "annual fee". As soon as my 12 month contract is up I am not resigning. Bathrooms are always disgusting.

My frustration begins with the fact that not all locations have boxing equipment. Second, the mount prospect location has a yoga instructor on tuesday mornings that is a very nasty person. Shes very rude, manipulative and very dishonest. She cost me to cut my training session short and im training for a fight cutting weight. The level of disrespect i experienced was absurd and i hope la fitness is happy with her because i wont pay to be treated so unkindly. I use to be a trainer for la fitness and ill tell you she has no business being there. Cancelling

It is always clean. Everyone is really nice and is very affordable.
Great Facility with a Great smoothie bar inside. I recommend people to try it.
Want to gain some muscles, well this is the best place to go. They have absolutely everything for your needs!

Exercise machines are up to date and the entire gym is spot on clean!!

Great people came in for the first time they were real kind and helped me out with what I wanted definetly joining this gym.
Nice gym. Lockers are small and locker rooms a little dirty.
After looking at other gyms in the area, I decided to join this one because of their large collection of free weights. I didn't even take into consideration that they have an indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, indoor basketball court, and racquetball courts. I was just interested in working out with free weights. After being a member for 6 months, I have no regrets. I'm glad I joined this gym. I love the free weights. Seems like what I need is always available. I just joined to lift weights, but now I use and enjoy all of the other amenities(e.g. racquetball, pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and basketball). During my 6 months, everyone I've come across has been polite, considerate, and respectful. I would give it 5 stars if it had longer hours on sat and sun.
If facility was cleaned more frequently, I would give it a 4 or 5 star rating.
Happy it's in the community. Wish it had a basketball and racquet ball court. Slow to make repairs compared to other LA Fitness locations in the area.

I have been coming to this location for 2 years and they are overall a nice gym to workout UNTIL the other day I came to my locker with a note stating "please see front desk for belongings" I went to the front desk and there were my personal belongings.. along with my lock cut in half. The front desk girl assured me I would be getting reimbursed for my lock but today I got a call from the manager Pam who stated I had to call the member to reimburse me.
Not only did La Fitness break my lock but they want me to go through the trouble of contacting this person to get money for a new one? Are you kidding?
The member thought she put her things in my locker - La Fitness DIDNT EVEN BOTHER LOOKING AT THE NEXT LOCKER OVER to find the ladies belongings.
Not to mention these front desk kids are constantly flirting with each other and on their phones. Yet my PERSONAL BELONGINGS were being taken care by them???

Never coming to this location again - beyond disappointed!!!

Fitness center is nice. I don't find the staff to be super helpful. To me it is always very hot in here, almost to the point of uncomfortable when working out.
It could have been 5 stars if they were open early on weekends.
