I have been a crunch member for over 2 years now and I could say a year ago I could of given you 4 stars but as far as maintenance, it has definitely gotten worse with time. The girls locker room, sauna are gross along with all windows and doors. Back in the day I could say it was a competitive rate. Now I see it more like you get what you pay for which is your usual cheap gym. Crowded and gross. Only this one is not too crowded most of the time. Either hydro and or tanning machines are constantly out of order which to me, it's also inconvenient. It's sad and I know they wont care when I leave. Lol just thought I'd Express my opinion and hopefully someone who cares will improve on these matters to increase customer satisfaction. And hopefully not loose others.
I joined before the doors opened and have been please with the facilities but over the last several months I have notice several unfavorable changes. Cardio machines not working well, also not connected to TV/receivers. Classes are good but not as much variety as before. High employee turnover!
The main reason for this review is what I witnessed yesterday at about 8am.....I walk in like any other day of the week but today no one is at the front desk, ok...potty break
NOPE .....just sitting in the front area on his phone while members walk in and out without a word( if a perspective member walked in they wouldn't even know he was an employee)
He continued to sit there the whole time I was there, even got comfortable and put his leg up.
Shortly thereafter another employee showed up to do exactly what she does every day, stand behind a table speechless with her purse.
Perfessionalism/customer service???

Always a friendly welcome as you walk in. Great Zumba classes. Weight machines are in good working order. Hydro massage and sauna are great. Overall, amazing value!

Great place to go workout. People are friendly and the facility along with the equipment is well maintained and clean. Highly recommend it!!!

They got a new manager who's way better than the last one. Also the employees are more professional now and better than ever. I'm moving away and I'm honestly sad about it, they need more Crunch locations in IL! Definitely take some classes, there's some great instructors here and I get a better workout in the classes than I ever did on my own.
Big, spacious, clean. Not enough free weight benches when it's very busy, but the main manager Joe makes an effort to listen to complaints. So even though the teenagers they hire aren't the most hands on employees, they're sweet, and I would say this place has good customer service.

My wife and I have had a great experience at the Mt Prospect Crunch. The staff is helpful and courteous. The trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging and have provided well balanced sessions geared to meeting our goals. The facility is kept clean and the equipment in good working order.

They also offer several options with memberships which is a BIG plus. I originally signed up for the basic membership (access to gym, no classes or tanning) and upgraded a few months later. The upgrade was painless and my change-of-membership fee was waived!
My only "complaint" is that the spin classes fill up quickly on weekends. Make sure to get there early!

I love this gym, their staff and the entire atmosphere. It's always fun and a happy place. Their classes and equipment are great, I love the boot camp class, it's my favorite.

As someone who travels for work I use a lot of different gyms. I have always leaned towards crunch because everyone is always so friendly. The gym is clean and there is enough equipment to go around so you never have to wait around for something. Ashley at the front desk is awesome always smiling it makes coming here that much better when the staff is friendly!!!

If you love fitness and love a good environment this is the place to be! Please be sure to ask for Tirel or Ashley! such a good team at the front desk I felt so at home and welcomed. This place truly cares about your fitness journey and health! The staff is very informative and super friendly and I actually look forward to my workouts (which is new for me).
Tirrell is one of the best people I've interacted with in any industry. Although he is GM at a gym he would prove to be truly valuable to any institution. Putting people first through his charismatic style can not be taught. The gym is great but the credit goes to the employees.
I got a base membership when the gym first and I've never had an issue with the membership fee or anything at the gym. I've always though $9.99 a month was completely reasonable. I don't take any classes so I don't need anything other than the base membership. The only thing they could improve on is fixing their machines quicker. The sauna and steam room along with workout equipment breaks down sometimes and isn't able to be used for a long time.
Best gym in the vicinity.. So affordable that you can't make money an excuse to ditch your fitness schedule. And with all world class equipments and facilities, this place is a heaven for fitness freaks. If you don't know what to do there at first place, take help of their personal training programs.. Quite affordable and effective.. And the group classes, included in your membership are amazing. Love the place
I really enjoy working out at Crunch. I like it because it offers a variety of classes and the setup of machines is easy to navigate. The employees are friendly and the equipment works well. They have reasonable prices too.
This is a pretty nice gym. They have a good variety of equipment and keep a clean environment. Great for people that want to get in and out. Staff is very friendly. The only major downside: they try really hard to up sell you a membership when signing up. For example on their website it lists the monthly options, however, when you go to sign up suddenly there is a "sign-up" fee of a $100 for the basic membership.
