I started going to Hip Circle nearly four years ago The community here is welcoming and fun and the offerings are so diverse...everything from small group exercise classes like kickboxing and pilates to yoga workshops, co-working and networking for entrepreneurs. It's locally-owned and focuses on empowering women through well-being and fitness. You should try it!
Love it. Good for women and femme people of all fitness levels. Super welcoming. Super supportive. Great community.
I've been taking classes at Hip Circle Studio since June of 2014. I normally do curvy yoga with Elizabeth and Pilates with Malik. It's fantastic to work out in such a safe and supportive environment. The women there are great too, everyone is fun and positive. I was able to get a private Pilates session with Malik recently, and it was amazing! The individual attention was really helpful, I know that I will get more out of my regular Pilates class now. I would definitely do a private session again.
This place is great. It's small so you get a lot of personal focus. Malik makes everyone feel welcome, and at the end of each month she throws a "resolution fitness party" for everyone who attended at least five classes. I haven't been for a month or two because I'm crazy with school, but if you're looking for a cozy studio with a lot of variety, this place is it!
Hip Circle Studio is more than a dance and fitness studio -- it's a revolution. The classes are taught by knowledgeable instructors who are welcoming of every person, wherever they are in their health and fitness journey. Malik brings her deep commitment to empowering women and girls, and to the Evanston community to everything she does.
