Great gym and an incredible, supportive (non judgmental!) community of people. Joined SECF on a whim about two years ago with zero CrossFit or weightlifting experience, and going to the gym quickly became the highlight of my days. Through expert guidance from coaches and consistent encouragement from the rest of the gym members, I have been improving my fitness (and surprising myself!) at SECF ever since.

Sharp Edge kicks my butt every day I go in! The coaches are knowledgable and everyone is very encouraging. I've already seen major improvements in my performance in the 6 months I have been there. I can't wait for my next class!

I am so glad I found SharpEdge CrossFit! I started in the late summer 2020. I was a beginner and clueless about CrossFit, but Tani was so amazing and professional at teaching all the techniques and workouts. There's a great variety of equipment, spacious gym, positive environment, and everyone supports one another. No matter your level, you will feel accomplished and see positive results. Highly recommend! :)

Sharp Edge is a super friendly gym. All skill levels are welcome, and there is a large range of skill among the members... you will not feel out of place. The coaches are professional and take proper care that exercises are performed correctly, to avoid any injuries. If you go regularly, you will learn how to safely lift weights, as well as a wide range of other athletic skills.

Learning the many movements of crossfit can be challenging, but the coaches at Sharp Edge always take the time to demonstrate everything and to make you feel comfortable. Can't say enough nice things about this gym.

Amazing place for awesome workouts, wonderful coaches and support staff. Every day the workout program changes, using different muscle groups which is very impressive. The coaches here make a real difference, very motivational and efficient. They also offer personal trainer sessions. Highly recommend!!

Clean gym and friendly staff. They pride themselves on no intimidation fitness. So everyone feels comfortable no matter where they are on their fitness journey. They are changing their hours soon and will no longer be 24/7 but 24/5...shortened hours on the weekend.

I'm from out of town. This was a great gym for a drop-in like me. I've been doing CF for years, but I'm super-fantastic, and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Both instructors I met gave feedback without being negative.

Great Facility and addition to Evanston, if you are interested in starting CrossFit and want a more close knit feel this is the place. The Owner and Head Coach is awesome and will help you achieve but any means.

Tani Mintz is a great coach for beginners and experienced crossfitters alike. She has built a great community at SharpEdge. The space is great too. In warmer months the garage doors are rolled up for fresh air. Great Rogue equipment. Also has a shower for those in a time pinch.
