Sensei Michelle and her team are wonderful. You know that they care about each and every student who come through the dojo doors. My children have progressed and are proud of what they have accomplished. Well done and thank you for all you do!
We started at MBD in January 2019. At the time my son was five. In November my daughter started to go as well. Sensei Michelle and her team are amazing. They are encouraging, caring and agile. The belt tests every couple of months have been very motivating for our children; and have definitely built their confidence. During COVID-19, I have been amazed with their service and how they shifted to a virtual program. This has kept our children active and engaged in karate. We love this Dojo!!!

Great martial arts gym for all ages. Their kids Karate classes are fantastic! I enrolled my 6 year old daughter about 2 months ago and she loves it!! I joined shortly after in the hopes of keeping her interested and now we're both hooked! They have Krav Bag and Kick Boxing fitness classes that I promise will be the best cardio you ever had!!
Today, I sat down with Michelle, the owner of MBD Martial Arts Academy. In spite of the fact that Michelle has her hands in so many facets of her business' day-to-day, she's incredibly progressive in the direction that she wants to take her academy. Not only that, Michelle is a regular attendee of my B2B Networking group, displaying a continued commitment to the growth of her business, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Des Plaines community as a whole in a professional manner. My partner and I are very much looking forward to working with her on accomplishing her goals.
I personally love this Martial Arts school. I have visited many Martial Arts schools and one thing I can really appreciate is that the people who are in charge, know what they are doing. I have 24 years of Martial Arts training on a high level and can definitely say these people are professional! They have an amazing kids program. The kids learn self defense, Krav Maga, Karate, and discipline. On top of it all, they are very nice, welcoming with no ego whatsoever! The gym is clean and very organize which is very important for me. I highly recommend people in the area of Chicago to come and train with MBD martial art.
MBD is an awesome place. My son attended summer ninja camp and loved it. The super friendly instructors focused not only on martial arts, but really trying to develop him as a good, honest person. Very happy I sent him!!

This place is great! There are so many choices and different class times that you will find something that fits your schedule. As a student/naval sea cadet, it is always hard to find stuff that fit my schedule, but here it was easy. I take on Kickboxing Fitness and Jiu Jitsu.
It is all about great instructors, awesome kickboxing workouts, top technical level mma training, totally friendly environment. I had my first class at MBD over 6 yrs. ago, .. and keep going.
This is my second class at MBD and I absolutely love the workout I get from the instructors. I was with Susan this morning and 3 hours later already feel sore. She is totally on top of her game and her work outs are top notch! Class times are a good mix to work into my daily schedule. Can't wait to go back!!

We love this place. They give very good attention to each kid. Very prompt and disciplined and affordable rates also. The timings are also very good. My kids love to attend the class

I love this place! A lot of classes offered to fit busy lifestyles. Teachers are great! They really care about children and their well-being. In addition to a great approach with martial arts, they also concentrate on children's self esteem, self defense, dealing with bullying, discipline, listening skills, and much more! I love how they change up classes so they don't always do the same thing. Little boys and girls love that!
This is a family business. Sensei Michelle is awesome. She always has a smile on her face. Her children help out and are well mannered sweet kids!

I've been part of the MBD Family for 10 years now. It has influenced me and my life greatly. Great school, with amazing instructors and a great place for kids and adults to learn Martial Arts. Not only do we learn Martial Arts but we work on real life survival skills. The curriculum is great and the schedule is very flexible. Sensei Michelle is an amazing sensei and treats everyone as family. I love this place so much and I highly recommend it! :)
