Worse Experience ever! Went to this location with a good friend to join her in a workout. She sent me an email to use a 14 day pass. When we arrived I was told by the lady at the front desk that I had to speak with a rep. That was no problem for me. The rep asked me a series of questions about my lifestyle. How active was I? How often I work out? What my eating habits were and so on. She followed up the questionnaire with a tour of the facility. Keep in mind I had no problem doing this. After discussing all of these things she pulls out a form with different packages. I listened to price options and politely informed her I was not willing to make a decision that day. She went on to further sale the packages I then informed her I probably wouldn't be willing to pay that much. She then stated, "what would it take for you to sign up today."
I told her that they would have to meet what I am paying at my other gym membership in order for me to impulsively choose and setup a package without even trying the "product" first. This response was because she basically would not take "not right now" for an answer. She then went and spoke to her manager Derrick Scott. After a period of waiting she came back and told me that because I have no intention on getting a membership with La fitness, they would be unable to activate my 14 day pass, and that I couldn't workout that day. I was in shock that even after speaking with the manager that he ridiculously stood by the nonsense his employee stated. How can I be given an ultimatum to pick a package in order to use a pass. Isn't the trial suppose to sway my decision in wanting to get a membership? In sales, isn't the product suppose to sale itself after a trial? I never stated that I had no interest in joining, but I didn't want to join that day. The manager, Derrick Scott, was unapologetic and unhelpful. Instead of helping a potential customer he threw out a bunch of jargon that had nothing to do with the poor service I received. After all of that I was never made aware that I could have paid for a one day workout. This was a terrible experience and waste of time.
