This place is massive. Make sure you have comfortable shoes on otherwise you will have a very unpleasant visit. There will be quite a bit of walking.
The attendees and workers were all very pleasant. The food service establishments could use a helping hand maybe some additions.
All in all, I had a great experience at McCormick's South Building.

McCormick Place is one of the very best convention centers I have been to in USA. It's layout is permissive of very large crowds. And nearby hotels make it an excellent venue for a well integrated multi-day event. Plus, the views (of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan) are breathtaking.

Very confusing place to get around and narrow hallways. Here for the ISTE conference and there are usually 15000+ folks so quite crowded. Do like all the vendor and food court options. Just wish signage was better.

The building is as good as it gets for conventions, however the cab lines are long, the buss's are full, and loading/unloading for the shows is always a bit of a pain. Lacking good information on the site of exhibitors, we had to figure everything out the hard way. Its much easier the 2nd time around when you know all the silly hoops that you have to jump thru to get anything done.

I attend the Midwest Clinic here every year. There are a lot of sitting areas outside of the convention floor, several restaurants, and a place to check your coat. The neighborhood around is not bad, but definitely not a touristy area.
