Great instructors!!! Awesome location too. Seriously will feel better in 1 week. I gained like an 3 inches of height. Lord knows I need it
Kevin was okay , I didn't feel like he knew what he was doing. He didn't talk about form very much and he didn't give good instructions with many details. Everything was very vague. However he was a really nice guy. I also found the power yoga class to be as generic and close to corepower, I deem this studio the planet fitness of the yoga community.
I very much enjoyed practicing yoga at this studio. The downtown Chicago location was amazing even though 4 quarters = 15 minutes at a meter. Welcome to the city. The locker rooms here were the nicest I've ever seen in a yoga studio.
Jazzercise pacing was not for me. Locker room was nice, though.

This is my favorite studio in Chicago. The instructors are so kind and caring. They also remember you!! Which is awesome, because I know they see a lot of faces. Great class options and convenient times throughout the week.

Of all the (numerous) yoga studios in Chicago I can say Yoga Six in Gold Coast is one of my favorites! They are welcoming for all levels, the studio is always clean and the instructors remember your name ... even if you haven't been in awhile. They also do some cool events and have guest instructors that keep it fresh and interesting!
Very friendly reception. Yoga classes at all levels. Great instructors. Facilities are clean, well appointed, amply stocked with soaps shampoo, hair driers etc.
Yoga Six is my yoga home. I have always wanted to practice yoga but the second that I would try to convince myself to take a class, I started feeling an overwhelming sense of fear, embarrassment and doubt because I was inexperienced and thought that I would be judged. The moment that I entered the Gold Coast studio, I was welcomed with open arms and every staff member that I spoke to, reassured me that I would have a great time and would be fine. They were right! The moment that I was on my mat and the instructor (Tori) began to speak, I knew that it was going to be a life changing experience. After class, I gave Tori a hug and thanked her for making me feel comfortable and encouraging me to push myself further than I thought possible. I felt like a yogini on her way to a more fulfilling and enlightening existence. I will always be a Yoga Six Gold Coast family member and I am beyond grateful for each and every moment that I have had and will have at the studio as I advance in my practice. :-)
My home away from home! I adore all of the Yoga Six locations but this is where I usually practice. Given the hustle bustle address of this studio, you will be blown away by how serene it is once you get upstairs to the space. They have three practice rooms which means tons of class options. All of the teachers are experience and welcoming.
Yoga Six, as a brand, is one of my favorite yoga studios in Chicago. I primarily go to their Y6 Lincoln Park location, but have been to Gold Coast a couple times.
When arriving, signage is decent - studio is located upstairs and there is a big sign outside the building. The entry to the studio can be a bit of a bottleneck when they are having bigger events and there is limited spots to hang jackets.
Studio itself is nice - good light, but there are some columns that obstruct your view depending on your mat.
Instructors of Yoga Six are some of the best, in my opinion.
