I started with the beginners class a few summers ago due to some recommendations from my physical therapist and loved it. I then did their foundational series over and over again because the small class sizes really allow for growth, questions, tips, and a laid back environment to learn the proper techniques and form. I have now joined the regular open classes and just can't say enough good things about this studio. The instructors are awesome. The studio is very unique and different from the 'corporate ' yoga places and I highly recommend stopping in for a class. I'm hooked.
First time at Tejas Yoga but definitely not the last time! I joined the vigorous class this morning and loved the energy in the room! Wonderful space and lovely people ! Deeply knowledgeable & accessible in a rare way. Wonderful teachers and friendly staff. I feel so healthy & happy every time I walk out Plus I lost 10 pounds after joining. It is great place to start your experience with yoga.

Deeply knowledgeable & accessible in a rare way. That's the best I can do to explain why the energy at this studio is the standard by which I compare every other spot. Jim & James created something quite unique with Tejas that will only grow as they continue to collect more like-minded & special folks to their work. So you should come, from near or far. I do. Small space but beautiful done ...it's on the second floor of the location...and it is right next to the BMO Harris Bank. Wonderful teachers and friendly staff. The class i went to was very calming and pretty easy considering I'm not a pro at yoga at all. Terrific varieties of classes and workshops are given as well as special events, which are listed on their wall.
It is great place to start your experience with yoga. I have just finished the course of introduction to yoga. I could not be more happy I had enrolled. Instructors are top notch and there are variety of them to pick the one that your energy levels match. There are also all levels of courses so I could start from zero and then continue to whatever level I feel like. The rooms are very clean. There are separate spaces for your coats, shoes, umbrellas etc... Staff is very professional and polite although also very friendly. Also online sign up and cancellation is very user friendly. All and all, I am very happy this place is in my zip code not to mention 5 min walk from me. The last thing: if you accidentally overpay like I did, it is no problem to get your money back in New York minute.
