Kickboxing 60 on a Monday morning? Didn't think I would enjoy it so much! But I showed up. Sophie at the front desk was a great person to help usher me through the doorway. Once my hands were wrapped and I had chosen a bag, Eric showed up on time as in he didn't make his students wait for him. He spent the beginning three minutes going through the basics with an intention that was easy for new students to follow then went straight into the warmup. No BS. I really appreciated the structure of the class: 15 minute warm-up followed by 30 minutes of kickboxing including a little interval training, ending with 15 minute abs. Despite being a beginner, I was able to follow each drill with ease, and despite needing work on my kicks as per Eric, I felt as if I accomplished something at the end. The place was clean and welcoming, definitely somewhere I would want to spend workout time out. As a whole, it was a worthwhile experience.
