Amazing place for expecting mothers and post-partum mothers (they also have Baby + Me so you can bring your LO!) The space is beatiful and the staff is so welcoming. Diana Zic is an amazing teacher :)
I took Mila's class at Cocoon care as a physician in the area searching for trusted facilities to refer my pregnant patients to. She did a wonderful job correlating and making connections between the workouts and how they apply to real life as a new mom. Plus, she didn't go easy on me! I definitely worked up a sweat as a non pregnant participant!
I've taken the yoga classes and the strength classes. I love CocoonCare! It has really helped to keep me centered, grounded, and in shape. I attended classes up until 38 weeks and it really prepared me for labor.
Essential to my baby journey!
CocoonCare classes and support group were amazing for my pregnancy and post-partum period. I joined CocoonCare with a 3-month membership when I was 20 weeks pregnant and extended it through the rest of my pregnancy right up to delivery. I went as many times per week as I could (usually 5x) and by the end of my pregnancy I couldn't go more than 2 days without a yoga class (I'd get so sore). The pre-natal classes helped me stay active, fit and relaxed/limber. I loved the variety of classes - sometimes I wanted yoga and other times, I wanted a good workout that got my heart rate up (safely). The instructors were great about explaining adaptations for pregnancy, leading us through pregnancy-friendly exercises and talking about how certain exercises could help prepare our bodies for labor (e.g., there is a "Final Push-Toning for labor" class I loved). It was nice meeting other moms-to-be and talk about our symptoms throughout pregnancy. I made great friends who became part of my support system when I had my baby (swapping questions, tips, and frustrations). I had my baby 4 days past his due date, naturally. My labor and delivery were very smooth and quick. I had learned a variety of pain management and labor techniques from my CocoonCare classes which helped (so did the epidural - lol). I'm not sure if there is medical proof that the classes helped my delivery but I believe they helped! And after my baby was born, I would do modified yoga at home until I was cleared to workout. When my baby was 3 weeks old, we joined the moms support group which was super helpful in getting me out of the house, building my independence as a Mom, relating with other moms and getting help with all those early Mom questions (e.g., feeding, baby development activities, recovery, relationships, sleep training). At 6 weeks I started back at the post-natal classes - baby and me yoga and workouts. My baby loved it and it helped me ease back into working out. Overall CocoonCare was crucial to my successful, healthy pregnancy journey. I would recommend joining as a member and getting the most out of the services. Good luck!!

A few months ago I got pregnant with my first baby. I was not much of a yoga person, but took a prenatal yoga class with Kassandra at CocoonCare-River North and I got HOOKED! I also plan to take the Final Push class in my 3rd trimester. The facility is shared with a salon, but they have separated the space pretty well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I came to know about this place through a friend in the neighborhood. I am a mom to a toddler and suffice it to say: I NEED to find activities to keep my baby stimulated. I took her to the music class for toddlers and I was VERY pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Irica (the instructor) has a beautiful voice; she makes the class very interactive and she makes the kids play actual instruments. The other great part was when I registered for a second class and couldn't make it; the owner extended my class pass without question. I plan to be pregnant again soon and I will definitely try their prenatal classes as well.

I highly recommend Cocoon Care to expectant as well as post-partum mothers. I discovered it while I was on maternity leave so can only speak to the post-natal classes, but I wish I had known about it while I was pregnant. The classes were great--very personalized attention. There were modifications given for every fitness level. I took the post-natal fitness, pre/post natal yoga, Baby and me yoga, and Core-tastic classes and loved each one.
I checked out this place today for an event.
Although I did not take a class yet, I checked the facilities. It was pretty empty on Wednesday morning. Clean though.
They offer an free first time class for babies. I will try mom and baby yoga class on Monday 12pm.
