If you workout in odd hours it is well worth the $14.95 a month. If you workout between 430pm and 900pm don't waste your money. I have never seen a gym as over sold as this location. They say they can't add equipment since it would be too crowded but you can drive a car through the gaps between the machines. Poor gym setup and lack of equipment. Just be forewarned.
Currently a member and I have no complaints about this gym. It has everything I need. I get my workout in and leave.
They also do a good job at trying to keep up with cleanliness. Much appreciated.
One thing I dislike though, if I have to say, are the elevators. They always break and take forever to fix.
They have all the basics for a good workout for a good price. I was LVAC / LPAC member for years and just switched over a month ago. They also have towels, yay
This location has my perfect trainer! I have been working out with David K since June. When I started, I was getting back into shape after a couple years of inactivity following knee surgery. I also have some scar tissue in my shoulder from another accident. Not only am I impressed with the amount of weight I have lost working out with David K but I am more impressed with the amount of mobility I have regained in my knee. I didn't realize how much mobility I had lost until he has really worked with me to regain it.
I really like the layout of the women's locker room because it just makes sense. The layout of the gym floor makes the equipment easy to find.
I've had great experiences at the spa with Bethany. She is always professional and friendly. She remembers my name and my preferred equipment. And when Bethany notices I might be a bit extra sleepy that day, she is willing to come back and knock on the door to confirm that I'm awake.
Love the spa!!! Love the sauna and steam room. Love unlimited tanning and the hydration station. Love the LED facial thing. The spa staff are pretty awesome and always provide excellent customer service! A few of the guys who work the front desk are super nice (and super cute). I need to work out more in the actual gym, but there are a lot of dudes, so I mostly go because of the spa.
I've been a member here since they opened in 2017. Recently I switched to LA fitness because the staff disgusts me. When I say staff its just the male sales team and Manager Jim. The personal trainers are fine. They care nothing about the customers, and they continue to annoy, threaten you in order to get some sales. Its not just verbally, but body language as well. They stand over you, get uncomfortably close to you so you buy supplements, or join whatever promotion they are running.
They also lie all the time, change monthly rates and initial down payment. They also add random add on. I bet they charge it straight to their own sales commission goals. There is no where in the contract that mentions these fees (adding member, guests, classes, spas, towels, cancellation, charged maintenance fee twice). The Assistant sales manager pretends hes looking at the computer for a long time, and I can see his screen. Hes just moving the mouse up and down acting like there is some complex analytics to this. He knows hes been caught and is trying to think of some BS excuse.
The manager is a liar. Cannot get along with anyone. I've been in a sales role in the past, this is not how you connect and treat customers. I don't understand how he is even still working here. This type of person should not be employed anywhere.
Lets not forget some of the disgusting things I've seen their staff do. There is a bald guy with tattoos that works there. I've seen him choke personal trainer girls at the gym in front of everyone. Her face is all red and shes hinting him to stop but he keeps choking. This absolutely should'nt happen at any gym. There are kids here that sees this. The problem with this gym is the managers allow and tolerate this behavior. Which is why stuff like this happens. The tattoo staff member walks around threatening people. Other gym members leave their machines so he can use it when he needs it. He doesn't actually tell them to get off, but he grabs their shoulder, gets really close to their face, and tells them in a loud obnoxious way. He makes it uncomfortable for them, so they just get off the machines to avoid conflict.
I used to like this gym, but I see a lot of people leaving because of the staff. And its really only a few. I hope corporate does something, perhaps send someone undercover for a few weeks to observe? Because its only a matter of time things get out of hand.
I echo every negative review below. Dishonesty with membership sign up and lack of customer service by management. But we are stuck and will do our best to accept what we at this point cannot change.
Run horribly. It's in a prime location so they'll always pack their gym to the max and not have to care about service. All the poor reviews are accurate. Would suggest trying out somewhere else.

EDIT/Update Krystal Lara from the corporate office reached out and helped me terminate my membership via email. She was extremely professional and willing to help to solve the problem. I still am not a fan of the manager at the Lakeview East location. However, due to Krystal being a wonderful help and taking care of my problem I am updating my review to 5 stars.
Thank you Krystal

Just the worst, most dishonest people.
I haven't been a member for Xsport in about five years. I started getting texts from a Dominic asking me to come back. I was like, maybe. I'm at one gym but I miss the gym that is open 24/7. I said I would like to join have one gym membership. Than he texts me that the enrollment is 200. Well that is total bs. There are signs on the street, there are pages on their website that says o dollars for enrollment for now. I asked him what's up with that and he just doens't respond. Real responsible huh? Than I call the manager Jim and he says the enrollment is 219. When I ask why does it say 0 dollars for enrollment on the website, signs on the street. Well that's for different memberships. Than he gets off the phone. When I call him back, he doesn't return my phone call. That's the problem with XSport so many people are so dishonest, never give you a straight answer, never return your phone call. Just the worst.
I literally have been a member for less than 3 days and I already am mailing my letter of membership cancellation. That is how bad the service is here. I have never experience such unprofessional people before. The representative who called me and sent me to a link to sign up told me I could get a membership for $9.95 and go to the East Lakeview location. Then I went to the East Lakeview location thinking I can finally start working out again to find out the membership I signed up for doesn't apply to the East Lakeview one. Instead of helping me figure out what the other guy did and contacting him. He instead tries to sell me the premium membership which I didn't want and was none helpful and was not nice. Afterwards I contacted the representative that called me and now he is ignoring my messages and phone calls.
Update:
I followed through with the email address commented below. They never responded. I did, however, receive multiple calls from the gym asking why I wasn't interested in a membership. Extremely rude and pushy sales rep laughed and hung up after I said I'd signed up with another gym down the street.
I walked in fully intending to buy a basic membership. The sales rep, Jim, continually tried to upsell me on the on their personal training service, no matter how many times I explained I wasn't interested in a personal trainer. I asked him directly to lay out the costs of just a basic membership -- he still refused, and only gave me the expenses associated with a personal training package.
The entire experience was like visiting a used car dealership -- sleazy, aggressive and obnoxious.
There are way too many gyms in Lakeview for XSport to maintain such aggressive and unprofessional sales practices.
The building is great, all the equipment is new. Pretty much everything that you could want from a gym. The only problem is that it is so crowded that I often have to change my workout completely just cause the machines, benches and squat racks are full. Speaking of benches and squat racks, how can you have 100-200 customers at any one given time and only have 3 flat benches and 2 squat racks. How does that even make sense. My last gym maybe had 30 people at any one point and had 3 benches and 2 squat racks. Ontop of that, when my girlfriend and I signed up, the manager basically guilted us into signing up. All in all we've had a pretty poor experience. I would 100% not recommend coming here, if you live in the area, thinking about signing up at LVAC even though it's a little more expensive.
(At the time of writing this post, I've waiting a little over an hour for a squat rack with no end in the near future.)
The gym looks amazing and has all the equipment you possibly need BUT it is way overcrowded as you always have to wait to use a specific machine even in the mid afternoon. Should I also say the staff including the manager are unprofessional. I came to ask a question and the people at the front desk have me wait to speak to the manager and give me paperwork to fill out when I'm just here to get some information. First thing he says to me is "oh you don't want to fill any paperwork out huh". After sitting and talking to the manager he tells me I can sign up for a month for a flat rate with no other fees as I'm not from the area. Next thing you know when his employee signs me up, they said I have to pay a $35 annual maintenance fee when I'm signing up just for ONE month and a $10 cancellation fee. You're telling me I have to pay $10 to cancel my membership? This place just wants your money anyway they can get it. I wouldn't come here!
Should I also mention they charged my credit card twice within 4 days???

Love the facilities. Had a white guy come up to me after he saw me get checked in and asked if I was an actual member when I brought Company with me. As a paying customer that was a bit embarrassing but I love the place. People working there are ehh.

The set up is a little funky. They dont have all of the leg stuff together like it should be. Only 3 bench pressing benches. Too many stairmasters, way more than they need. The money they wasted on them could've went to more free weights, which they severely lack. Its clean, well lit and spacious though. I prefer the other lakeview location. It has significantly more equipment and is broke off into half a dozen different sections so you dont feel crammed.
Great working machines, usually friendly staff. Only complaint, when I go in at 4am the mens locker room is usually littered with dirty towels all over the place and the showers could use a good pressure wash.
Great gym! You get to try all of the spa amenities when you first sign up. There's so much equipment and no weird twisting corridors hiding anything. The basketball court is awesome and you can usually play a couple of pickup games during your workout.
Fairly modern gym, nice pool and good equipment. I tend to go in off peak times which really makes the experience better but even then the locker rooms are FAR too small. Why build this huge gym, have lots of lockers but make them all face each other in such small spaces? Unless you want to rub body parts with naked people you have to wait to get changed. That lets it down.
Also the screens with the adverts and the loud speaker announcements for things like the juice bar really are not needed. It makes it trashy.
Great facility in a great neighborhood. All the equipment is in good condition and mostly kept clean. I like going in early as to avoid the after work crowds.
All of these bad reviews are completely true. My boyfriend and I were members at CAC for a long time but felt it was not worth paying $65/mo each so we decided to try the new Broadway location for Xsport Fitness. We were excited because the gym is new with a lot of equipment and there is free parking. I joined in Oct. 2017 because they were advertising a deal of $0 down, $14.95/mo which was FALSELY ADVERTISED. The $14.95/mo membership was actually a down payment of $198. So, I ended up paying $98 down and $50/mo. This level membership allows you to bring a guest unlimited. Well the first day I try to bring my boyfriend with me, the manager who signed me up told him, guests could only come between 5pm and 9pm, which is not what the contract stated. So he decided to stay at CAC because we sometimes have conflicting schedules and can't always make this fictional 5pm to 9pm time frame. Annoyed, I go in to talk to the same manager about downgrading my membership to the advertised $14.95/mo which I had to pay a $120 fee to do so. December 2017 and January 2018 I was charged my original membership of $50, had to keep calling corporate to be refunded. Then yesterday 1/16/18 I am charged $49, I call corporate this morning (1/17) and the representative tells me that the charge is the one time annual fee for downgrading, which the manager never told me about when I signed the new contract nor did the other representatives I called for the refund acknowledge to tell me. I was told in order to receive any refund I have to cancel my membership which I will be doing today in person, effective immediately. After reporting them to BBB, I received my refund of the overcharge and down payment. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE - THE MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE, THEY WILL SCAM YOU, AND CHARGE YOU UNAUTHORIZED AMOUNTS WITHOUT NOTICE! PLEASE BE SMART AND CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS.
Xsport is the best place to work out in the city. They have everything, the staff is good and most of the people working out there are serious about getting into shape.
I pay to use all facility. At others gym i can use the bike from spinning room without a class since i have no time to wait for class. Guess what? At this facility i can not use the spinning room without a class. I tried to talk with Jason, the manager, he didn't even came to talk with me. He just said no for another employee. Seriously? Im a very busy entrepreneur and i can not follow their time. I have a different time and that's the reason I chose to pay a 24 hours gym. Im canceling my plan right now for a better one and if you're a busy person don't lose your time there mainly with their ruse manager.
Gym is fine until you go to cancel your membership. I have a non-contract membership and they told me the only way I can cancel is if I come to them between 10-6 mon-fri. Crazy the hoops they make you jump through to cancel a voluntary membership. And to top it off, they aren't even nice about it. "That's policy" is the line you'll hear.
I have been a member of the gym since February, and since then I have been working out on my own. Unfortunately, I haven't been getting very good results because I do not have the information I need to succeed and make gains, wholly because I am a novice at the gym.
After receiving a few promotional emails regarding personal training, I decided to give it a try, assuming the PTs would have the information and motivation I needed. And they sure did. I met with Spenser, the PT manager for a training session. He asked me about my goals and showed me how PT would help me to reach them. He then gave me a training session that was exciting and tiring and everything I was looking for while being at the gym. He also paired me up with a trainer, Jacob, whom I really enjoy working with.
Overall a great experience. Spenser was informative but also personal, and you can tell he likes seeing people reach their goals. And for me, I am finally beginning to feel confident and excited about working out and my overall health.
Fantastic facility. Everything is always clean and organized.... The staff are incredible...Tony is the man and set my wife and I up with a great training package. Bethany, the spa manager was very sweet and attentive. She helped us with our spa services which I highly recommend for anyone who wants to end their work out with a nice relaxing treat. The whole training staff is on point and ready to help you. Bianca, my wife's trainer who she loves is awesome and extremely skilled at what she does. And of course, my trainer, Julian - the man! Coming from my background as a Chiropractor, I was looking for someone who really knew what they were doing. Julian is legit, he is extremely knowledgeable and gives a grueling workout. If you want to look good with your shirt off and accomplish your goal safely, he's your guy.
Very clean and large facility with a variety of options. Decently affordable. I originally joined for access to their yoga classes but unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of them available. I would rate them higher but I had an unfortunate experience where my husband was roughly questioned by a staff member asking why he was there and if he was a member. I had spoken to the general manager and he didn't really do much to alleviate our frustrations and embarrassment besides saying sorry.
Also, why the hell would your phone tree offer an option for "cancellation inquiries" when you can't cancel over the phone? Wasted 2 hours of my life just on hold. Members are required to cancel in person.
The enrollment process is easy enough, but i cannot recommend enough to READ EVERYTHING! I mean it, everything. It sounds like a lot of work, but it will reduce a significant amount of stress. One thing that is not posted anywhere: if you need to cancel, you can write a letter to headquarters (that is in the contract), but if you want to do it in person, you have to do so from 10-6pm on weekdays. That's seems a bit odd for a 24 hour gym.
When you do cancel, you will be charged $10 for a non-renewal fee. That is in the contract, but the attitude that comes with it when you are actually cancelling is appalling. The words used on me: "Then don't cancel". Even if I was on the fence, that would make me glad to be leaving.
Despite a large facility, it is always so crowded that it's impossible to get a workout in that you may have planned before. 3 squat racks and lots of people on their phone leads to a lot of frustration for someone that wants to get in and get out.
There are apparently rules scrolling through the tv screens saying not to overuse equipment or carry gym bags around, but those only apply to the adults. The clientele is rude and inconsiderate. Too many, "too-cool for school" types that hog equipment, are constantly on their phones and socializing.
The WORST part is one trainer that does this. In between sets and at the end of his workout, he sits on his phone and takes up high demand equipment. When challenged, he couldn't care less. If you continue with the initial session, I would stay away from the middle aged African-American guy with glasses. He's awful and has no clue about gym courtesy, especially when it comes to PAYING members.
